Background: Fritillaria walujewii Regel (Xinjiang Bei-Mu), an authentic ("Dao-di") medicinal herb documented in Chinese pharmacopoeias, is traditionally used to treat respiratory disorders. Its principal steroidal alkaloid, peiminine (PMI), demonstrates significant anticancer activity. Oxaliplatin (Oxa), a first-line chemotherapeutic cornerstone for gastric cancer (GC), is limited clinically by intrinsic chemoresistance.

The provincial government has initiated vaccination programs, with a particular focus on impoverished areas such as the Ganzi, Aba, and Liangshan prefectures, where both the HPV disease burden is elevated and vaccination uptake remains suboptimal. This study aimed to investigate HPV vaccination among adolescent girls in these prefectures, evaluate caregivers' knowledge and attitudes, identify factors influencing their willingness to vaccinate their daughters, and examine existing policies to provide evidence-based recommendations for improving vaccination strategies.

Gamma oscillations can be generated internally by neural circuits during attention or exogenously by stimuli that turn on and off at gamma frequencies. However, it remains unknown if driving gamma activity via exogenous sensory stimulation affects attention.

This study aimed to determine whether OT alleviates cognitive decline in this population.
Materials And Methods: In this 16-week, open-label trial, 60 T2D participants with MCI were randomly assigned (1:1) to OT or routine care (control).

Background: Current treatment guidelines recommend consideration of neurostimulators and other alternative treatments to antiseizure medications in patients with drug-resistant epilepsy (DRE). This study assessed patterns of utilization and cost of healthcare services and prescription pharmacotherapies during the 2-year period before neurostimulator implantation among Medicaid enrollees with DRE.
Methods: This retrospective, observational cohort study used healthcare claims and enrollment data obtained from the US Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Background: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) represents a subtype of breast cancer with poorest prognosis due to limited effective targeted therapies. Chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR-T) therapy has shown remarkable efficacy in treating hematological cancers, but its application in TNBC requires further development. One major obstacle is the lack of suitable tumor-specific target in TNBC.

Polystyrene (PS), used in many household items, degrades into polystyrene MPs (PS-MPs), which accumulate in the environment. Chronic exposure to waterborne PS-MPs was found to disrupt hepatic lipid metabolism in C57BL/6N mice through inflammatory Kupffer cell polarization and IL-17/NF-κB signaling pathways.

Background: Sepsis is a prevalent and detrimental condition in intensive care units (ICUs) and a leading cause of mortality. The present study evaluated the role and clinical importance of Transmembrane 9 superfamily member 1 (TM9SF1) as a potential indicator for the early detection of sepsis severity and prognosis.
Methods: This study included 118 patients with septic shock and 107 patients with sepsis, all of whom underwent follow-up assessments.
Introduction: VHHs, or nanobodies, are distinguished by their compact size, high stability, and unique ability to selectively target specific epitopes. The CDR3 region in VHHs, which plays a crucial role in antigen binding, exhibits significant diversity and varies among species.
Method: This study systematically examined CDR3 length dependent patterns by analyzing NGS sequences from the PBMCs of Alpacas, Llamas and Bactrians, in conjunction with VHH structure data from the public database.
Background: Conversion therapies after immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) plus tyrosine-kinase inhibitors (TKIs) provide curative surgery chance and prolong survival for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (uHCC). However, only some patients have the opportunity to receive conversion therapies. To this end, we aimed to develop and validate a machine-learning model to identify patients who may have the chance to undergo conversion therapy.

Objective: The myodural bridge complex (MDBC) is a tendon-like structure highly conserved during vertebrate evolution, suggesting it plays an important physiological role. Substantial evidence indicates that the MDBC may contribute to cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) circulation by generating mechanical force. Studying its developmental process may offer new insights into CSF dynamics and lead to improved strategies for diagnosing and treating neurodegenerative diseases.

P-doped strategy exhibits remarkable advantages in the field of environmental catalytic materials due to its excellent charge modulation ability and enhanced chemical stability. Although the current SiO-based aerogel materials have outstanding high specific surface area properties, their lack of stability and poor electrical conductivity limit their application potential. Herein, the SiO aerogel confined material with P-doped CoO nanoparticles (P-Co@SiO2 aerogel) was constructed for the removal of tetracycline (TC) from water by the activation of peroxymonosulfate (PMS).

Objective: To measure the effect of toothpastes containing blue covarine on tooth whiteness and yellowness.
Methods: This was a randomised, double-blind, 4-period, crossover design study conducted at a Chinese clinical research facility. Sixty-six participants with 2 natural upper central incisors (UCIs) with Vita tooth shade in range 2M2 to 3M3, without visible damage, gum recession, restorations or extrinsic/intrinsic stain, were allocated to evaluate 4 test toothpastes in random order using Williams square approach.

The transcription factor interferon regulatory factor 3 (IRF3) initiates type I interferon transcription, which is required for host defense. Here, we identify RAD18 as a central E3 ubiquitin ligase that selectively targets phosphorylated IRF3 (p-IRF3) for autophagic degradation. RAD18 specifically promotes the dissociation of p-IRF3 from the IFNB promoter and in turn terminates its transcriptional activity.

Objectives: The construction of subunit vaccines based on antigens that can induce strong cellular immunity is a widely accepted strategy to develop new tuberculosis vaccines. This study screens immunogens with potential for subunit vaccine development from seven candidate antigens and then verifies their vaccine efficacy.
Design: C57BL/6 mice were immunized subcutaneously with purified PPE19, PPE50, FadD21, Rv1505c, Rv1506c, Rv2035, and Rv0976c proteins formulated with Freund's adjuvant to evaluate both the antigen-specific Th1 cellular immune responses and IgG level.
This study aimed to estimate the end-of-season influenza vaccine effectiveness (VE) for the 2024/25 season in Beijing, China. We used a test-negative design (TND) to assess influenza VE among outpatients with influenza-like illness (ILI) enrolled through the influenza virological surveillance in sentinel hospitals in Beijing from week 44, 2024 to week 14, 2025. Cases were ILI patients who tested positive for influenza; controls were those who tested negative.

Perovskite solar cells have made remarkable progress in laboratory-scale efficiency, positioning them as a promising next-generation photovoltaic technology. However, their long-term operational stability under real-world conditions remains a critical barrier to commercial deployment. This study presents a three-year outdoor field investigation of a micro power station composed of 20 perovskite sub-modules (FACsPbI-based, each measuring 30 cm × 40 cm), deployed in subtropical eastern China and fabricated using scalable, industry-compatible processes.
