Background: The public health service supply level is an essential factor affecting public health, and fairness is vital in distributing public health services. The spatiotemporal differences in public health services have attracted academic attention. However, few studies have systematically analyzed regional disparities and their influencing factors from a fair perspective.

Although traditional Chinese medicine offers untapped potential, the therapeutic role of paeoniflorin (Pae), a bioactive compound derived from Paeonia lactiflora, in prostate cancer has yet to be investigated. Using an integrative approach (network pharmacology, molecular docking, and experimental validation), we identified Pae key targets, constructed protein-protein interaction networks, and performed GO/KEGG pathway analyses.

By manipulating various solid solution aging parameters, the morphology, quantity, and distribution of the αs phase can be optimized. After one hour of solid solution treatment at 760 °C, the alloy is predominantly composed of the β phase, with a higher concentration of aluminum at the grain boundaries compared to the interior of the grains.

However, the current scope of physical examinations has expanded to include numerous tests, some of which have questionable insight into underlying pathology. In this study, we analyzed 26,289 samples from the NHANES (National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey) database, along with 49 included indicators, to systematically explore the correlation between conventional indicators and various diseases.

Chiral metal halide perovskites (MHPs) possess an inherent noncentrosymmetric structure, offering a promising platform for the development of second-order nonlinear optical (NLO) materials. Recent research has emphasized the influence of metal valence states on the physical and chemical properties of perovskites. In this work, a series of novel chiral tin-based MHPs were constructed by adjusting the metal valence states, thereby tuning the second-order NLO performance.

The immunological synapse (IS) serves as the fundamental architectural framework for direct interactions and secretory crosstalk between immune cells, as well as between immune cells and other cells. Its dysregulation is thought to be a key underlying cause of immune evasion or inflammation observed in various diseases, including tumors and infections. Numerous recent studies have addressed key signaling mechanisms and reported novel targets related to IS, further broadening our understanding of its function and regulatory factors.

Although magnesium (Mg)-based biomimetic scaffolds are widely utilized for bone defect repair, the release of Mg²⁺ ions often leads to an alkaline microenvironment, thereby adversely affecting bone regeneration. Regenerative medicine strategies that leverage the recruitment of endogenous bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) offer a novel approach to treating bone defects.

BackgroundDiabetes, a prevalent chronic disorder, is frequently complicated by diabetes-associated cognitive dysfunction (DACD). The impact of diabetes on specific cerebral regions accelerates the progression from mild cognitive impairment to Alzheimer's disease. Research has indicated that mitochondrial dysfunction is a pivotal factor in DACD, yet its underlying mechanisms remain elusive.

In this study, we performed an integrative analysis combining chromatin accessibility profiling, transcriptomics, and two-stage case-control studies, alongside an unbiased phenome-wide exploration in the FinnGen cohort. This comprehensive approach identified the enhancer-associated single-nucleotide polymorphism rs7077830 at chromosome 10q11 as a critical modulator of prostate cancer susceptibility.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 702 children aged 2-14 years who were diagnosed between 2011 and 2020.
Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) and osteoporosis (OP) are closely related, age‑related, degenerative orthopedic conditions. Elderly patients with OP frequently develop concurrent KOA, with high co‑occurrence rates. Studies indicate that OP significantly increases KOA risk and that these conditions mutually exacerbate each other.

The aim of this study was to investigate the role and mechanism of the C/EBP homologous protein in the overactive bladder.
Methods: An overactive bladder mouse model was established via the intraperitoneal injection of cyclophosphamide in wild-type and Chop-deficient mice.
Microplastic pollution (<5 mm) poses a serious threat to the environment and human health, inducing cellular stress damage in organisms (especially through oxidative stress). The damage results from excessive reactive oxygen species and impaired defense mechanisms, affecting energy production, organelles, and triggering inflammation. Antioxidants (such as vitamin C, curcumin, and quercetin) reduce stress markers and inflammation by neutralizing harmful molecules, activating protective pathways, and regulating autophagy, providing potential protection.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a significant global health concern, and early detection through screening plays a critical role in reducing mortality. While deep learning models have shown promise in improving polyp detection, classification, and segmentation, their generalization across diverse clinical environments, particularly with out-of-distribution (OOD) data, remains a challenge. Multi-center datasets like PolypGen have been developed to address these issues, but their collection is costly and time-consuming.

Staphylococcus aureus (SA)-caused osteomyelitis (OM) is inflammation-related refractory disease that seriously degrades the life quality of human beings. Unfortunately, up until now, the molecular mechanisms of OM progression have not been fully delineated, which hampered the development of treatment strategies for this disease. The present study aimed to resolve this issue and a novel DAPK3/AMPK/mTOR-GPX4 signal pathway was significantly linked to the development of OM.
