Design: We performed a retrospective observational study of patients with NAD-SMTs who underwent endoscopic resection at Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, China, between June 2017 and December 2020. Data on patient characteristics, treatments and follow-up results were collected.
Optimal bowel preparation is a prerequisite for a successful colonoscopy; however, the rate of inadequate bowel preparation remains relatively high. In this study, we establish a smartphone app that assesses patient bowel preparation using an artificial intelligence (AI)-based prediction system trained on labeled photographs of feces in the toilet and evaluate its impact on bowel preparation quality in colonoscopy outpatients. We conduct a prospective, single-masked, multicenter randomized clinical trial, enrolling outpatients who own a smartphone and are scheduled for a colonoscopy.

We found that a combination of IFNα and anti-PD-1-based immunotherapy resulted in enhanced antitumor activity in patients with unresectable HCC. In both immunocompetent orthotopic and spontaneous HCC models, IFNα therapy synergized with anti-PD-1 and the combination treatment led to significant enrichment of cytotoxic CD27+CD8+ T cells.

Differentially expressed mRNAs, miRNAs, and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) were compared between HCC tumor tissues and normal liver tissues in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. Subsequently, a prognosis-associated mRNA co-expression network, an mRNA-miRNA regulatory network, and an mRNA-miRNA-lncRNA regulatory network were constructed to identify prognostic biomarkers for HCC through Cox survival analysis.

Methods: Quantitative reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and western blot (WB) were used to evaluate meiosis-specific nuclear structural 1 (MNS1) expression in HCC cells.
Purpose: To explore the influence of transcatheter hepatic arterial chemoembolization (TACE) combined with microwave ablation on T lymphocyte subsets and prognosis in patients with liver cancer and analyze the safety.
Methods: The clinical data of 160 patients were retrospectively analyzed. The patients in the control group underwent TACE, while those in the observation group were treated with microwave ablation in addition to TACE.

Liver cancer is a lethal disease that is associated with poor prognosis. In order to identify the functionally important genes associated with liver cancer that may reveal novel therapeutic avenues, we performed integrated analysis to profile miRNA and mRNA expression levels for liver tumors compared to normal samples in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. We identified 405 differentially expressed genes and 233 differentially expressed miRNAs in tumor samples compared with controls.
