This study collected and screened the 50 most common pre-treatment consultation questions from adult orthodontic patients through clinical practice. Responses to these questions were generated using three large language models: Ernie Bot, ChatGPT, and Gemini. The responses were evaluated across six dimensions: Professional Accuracy (PA), Accuracy of Content(AC), Clarity and Comprehensibility (CC), Personalization and Relevance (PR), Information Completeness (IC), and Empathy and Patient-Centeredness (EHC).

Constrained optimization problems are pervasive in various fields, and while conventional techniques offer solutions, they often struggle with scalability. Leveraging the power of deep neural networks (DNNs) in optimization, we present a novel learning-based approach, the Constraint Boundary Wandering Framework (CBWF), to address these challenges. Our contributions include introducing a boundary wandering strategy inspired by the active-set method, enhancing equality constraint feasibility, and treating the Lipschitz constant as a learnable parameter.

Article Synopsis
  • China's 'Internet Plus' nursing services are home care solutions that utilize online platforms for efficient service delivery, but there is limited research on registered nurses' preferences in this area.
  • The study aimed to assess what registered nurses value about these Uber-style services, focusing on factors like income and safety, and to provide recommendations for improving service design.
  • Results showed that safety and security are the top priorities for nurses, followed by income, suggesting that enhancing these aspects could improve the effectiveness of nursing services.

Background: Michelia macclurei Dandy is a traditional Chinese medicinal plant, but little is understood about the bioactive compositions and biological potential of its different parts, limiting their applications. This study aims to identify the bioactive compositions and analyze differences in accumulation patterns from different parts of Michelia macclurei (heartwood, sapwood, bark, root, leaf, and fruit) using metabolomics. It also seeks to explore their biological potential and analyze the relationship between the bioactive compositions and biological potential.

In recent years, food safety accidents have occurred frequently in colleges and universities, and students are prone to emotional resonance with food safety. It triggered heated discussions among the whole society and gradually formed a unique online public opinion on food safety in universities. After food safety incidents broke out in universities, some universities deliberately avoided responsibility or made mistakes in handling the incidents, which will create greater risks of online public opinion.

Background: Older adults' preference for home- and community-based service programs has been highlighted as an essential but usually ignored ingredient in current care models. Disentangling how preferences contribute to older adults' decision-making could facilitate finding optimal ways to deliver home- and community-based services in times of increasing scarcity.

Objective: To identify Chinese community-dwelling older adults' preference structure for home- and community-based services and thus to optimize service provision.

Sharpness aware minimization (SAM) optimizer has been extensively explored as it can generalize better for training deep neural networks via introducing extra perturbation steps to flatten the landscape of deep learning models. Integrating SAM with adaptive learning rate and momentum acceleration, dubbed AdaSAM, has already been explored empirically to train large-scale deep neural networks without theoretical guarantee due to the triple difficulties in analyzing the coupled perturbation step, adaptive learning rate and momentum step. In this paper, we try to analyze the convergence rate of AdaSAM in the stochastic non-convex setting.

Urban economic competitiveness is a fundamental indicator for assessing the level of urban development and serves as an effective approach for understanding regional disparities. Traditional economic competitiveness research that relies solely on traditional regression models and assumes feature relationship theory tends to fall short in fully exploring the intricate interrelationships and nonlinear associations among features. As a result, the study of urban economic disparities remains limited to a narrow range of urban features, which is insufficient for comprehending cities as complex systems.

The wood of Dandy (MD) is an excellent material that is widely used in the furniture, handicraft, and construction industries. However, less research has been conducted on the chemical composition and biological activity of heartwood, which is the main valuable part of the wood. This study aimed to investigate the chemical composition and biological activities of the heartwood of Dandy (MDHW) and to confirm the active ingredients.

An efficient and stable fiber coating is of great importance for solid-phase microextraction (SPME). In this study, carboxylated mesoporous carbon hollow spheres (MCHS-COOH) were developed as an efficient SPME coating of polar aromatic amines (AAs) for the first time. The MCHS-COOH coating material with high specific surface area (1182.

Article Synopsis
  • Serum Chitinase 3-like protein 1 (CHI3L1) levels can effectively differentiate between various stages of liver fibrosis, but its role in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is less understood.
  • A study involving 128 HCC patients and control groups showed that CHI3L1 levels correlate with key factors like tumor size and overall survival rates.
  • The combination of CHI3L1 and alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) significantly improves diagnostic sensitivity, and CHI3L1 is identified as an independent prognostic factor for HCC patients.

Background: Foot reflexology has been considered an important complementary therapy for many health-related symptoms, especially for some chronic conditions such as anxiety, stress, pain and fatigue. Some studies also showed that foot reflexology had a significant effect on functional constipation, whereas some studies did not. The effect of foot reflexology on functional constipation remains controversial.

Background: The concept of perceived control reflects the belief that one has resources needed to cope with negative events and the ability to positively influence consequences of those negative events. In patients with heart failure, perceived control is associated with a variety of health outcomes. Perceived control is commonly measured using the Control Attitudes Scale-Revised (CASR).

Background: Continuity of care (COC) has become a primary point of concern for care providers in both developed and developing countries, which is regarded as the "cornerstone of care" and an "essential element" of good health care. A robust and proper instrument is of necessity to identify problems and evaluate intervention aimed at improving continuity of care. This study aimed to adapt Nijmegen continuity questionnaire (NCQ) into a Chinese version (NCQ-C) and to delineate the status of COC as well as explore its influencing factors for hypertensive patients in China.

We discuss the fabrication procedure and device characteristics of ITO/ZnTiO/Pt resistive random-access memory (RRAM) at room temperature. Four different resistive states were obtained by applying different current compliances, all of which showed good retention characteristics with no obvious degradation and were individually distinguished after 10 000 s at a read voltage of 100 mV. The multilevel memory effect can be attributed to the combination of the radial growth of filaments and the formation of conductive filaments when applying different compliance current values during the set process.
