Dual-functional phthalamide modulation of aging-resistant PbI for efficient perovskite solar cells.

J Colloid Interface Sci

September 2025

School of Materials Science and Engineering, Taizhou University, Taizhou 318000, China. Electronic address:

The sequential preparation of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) has received widespread concern for its use in large-scale perovskite modules and perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells. However, the instability of the PbI precursor solution and the incomplete reaction of ammonium salts hinder the industrialization of PSCs. Here, by introducing phthalamide (PA) into PbI solution, the carbonyl oxygen of PA molecules undergoes a bidentate coordination reaction with Pb to form an octahedral coordination structure, and the nitrogen atom in the -NH group exhibits weakly acidic properties due to the conjugation effect.

Calix[]azanediyldibenzoate: Intramolecular Hydrogen Bond-Assisted Synthesis, Acidichromism, and Oriented Self-Assembly.

Org Lett

September 2025

School of Pharmaceutical and Chemical Engineering and Institute for Advanced Studies, Taizhou University, 1139 Shifu Road, Taizhou, Zhejiang 318000, China.

Here, intramolecular hydrogen bond (IMHBs)-induced rigidity is used for the first time to synthesize macrocyclic arenes. Calix[]azanediyldibenzoates (C[]A, where = 3, 4, or 5) are synthesized through a one-step condensation reaction between dimethyl 2,2'-azanediyldibenzoate and paraformaldehyde. Compared to the monomer, the macrocycles exhibit a fast and significant acidochromic response due to the intramolecular charge transfer that is boosted by the synergistic effect of their adsorption and protonation.

In recent years, interactions between polysaccharides and proteins have been widely considered for use to improve protein gel performances. We previously found carboxymethyl chitosan (CMCS) can increase Pleurotus eryngii protein (PEP) gel properties, but the contributions of different key PEP fractions to overall gel formation remain unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate how CMCS affects the gel properties of PEP via intermolecular interactions with PEP fractions, including PEP1-1, PEP2-2, and PEP5-1.

Light adaptive image enhancement for improving visual analysis in intercropping cultivation.

Front Plant Sci

August 2025

Chinese Academy of Agriculture Mechanization Sciences Group Co., Ltd., Beijing, China.

Intercropping maize and soybean with distinct plant heights is a typical practice in diversified cropping systems, where shadows cast by taller maize plants onto soybean rows pose significant challenges for image based recognition. This study conducted experiments throughout the entire soybean-maize intercropping period to address illumination variation. Based on the height difference between crops, solar elevation angle, and light intensity at the top of the soybean canopy, an illumination compensation regression model was developed.

Purpose: Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases related to atherosclerosis represent a leading global health burden, contributing substantially to morbidity, disability, and premature mortality. The Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) has emerged as a valuable non-invasive tool for screening peripheral artery disease and assessing the burden of systemic atherosclerosis. This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the research landscape, key contributors, and evolving trends in ABI and atherosclerosis studies.

The efficient and selective activation of C(sp)-H bonds in toluene plays a pivotal role in the synthesis of value-added chemicals, yet achieving this transformation under mild conditions remains a challenge. Herein, the Au nanoparticles supported on rich-nitrogen vacancies on CN (AuNPs/CN-N) are synthesized via Ar atmosphere calcination and photoinduced deposition. The electronic state and coordination environment of Au species, as well as nitrogen vacancies, are systematically elucidated using X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), electron spin resonance (ESR), and in situ Fourier-transform infrared (in situ FT-IR).

Drought modifies the impacts of soil nutrient heterogeneity on native and alien plant growth in the absence of competition.

AoB Plants

October 2025

Institute of Wetland Ecology and Clone Ecology / Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Evolutionary Ecology and Conservation / Zhejiang Key Laboratory for Restoration of Damaged Coastal Ecosystems, Taizhou University, Taizhou 318000, Zhejiang, China.

Soil nutrient heterogeneity has generally been shown to benefit alien plants more than native ones. However, whether drought, an important aspect of climate change, alters these effects remains an open question. We used a greenhouse experiment with two alien and two native herbaceous plants.

Selectively Modulating the Donor and Acceptor Aggregation Behaviors Through Solid Additive Isomerization Engineering for Organic Solar Cells Exceeding 20% Efficiency.

Angew Chem Int Ed Engl

September 2025

Beijing National Laboratory for Molecular Sciences, CAS Key Laboratory of Organic Solids, Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, 100190, China.

Regulating the film morphology is essential for achieving high-performance organic solar cells (OSCs). Given the distinct features of donor and acceptor materials, designing solid additives to selectively control the aggregation behaviors of them represents a key strategy for further development of OSCs. Herein, a series of bithiophene isomers solid additives (2,2-TT, 2,3-TT, and 3,3-TT) are designed for film morphology regulation.

Premature ovarian failure (POF), also referred to as premature ovarian insufficiency (POI), is a multifactorial reproductive endocrine disorder characterized by amenorrhea, infertility, hypoestrogenism, and elevated gonadotropin levels before the age of 40. Emerging evidence links its pathogenesis to oxidative stress and dysregulation of the autophagy-apoptosis balance in ovarian cells. Excessive accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) impairs mitochondrial function in oocytes, while aberrant autophagy and granulosa cell apoptosis accelerate the depletion of primordial follicles.
