Here, intramolecular hydrogen bond (IMHBs)-induced rigidity is used for the first time to synthesize macrocyclic arenes. Calix[]azanediyldibenzoates (C[]A, where = 3, 4, or 5) are synthesized through a one-step condensation reaction between dimethyl 2,2'-azanediyldibenzoate and paraformaldehyde. Compared to the monomer, the macrocycles exhibit a fast and significant acidochromic response due to the intramolecular charge transfer that is boosted by the synergistic effect of their adsorption and protonation.

The necessity of reliable preclinical models for evaluating the efficacy of novel therapeutic strategies is imperative. Nevertheless, the degree to which tumor-bearing murine models represent the immunological characteristics of human papillomavirus (HPV)-positive oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) has largely been unexplored. Utilizing single-cell RNA sequencing technology, our research elucidated that subcutaneous (SC) murine models more accurately reflect the early immunogenic phase of human HPV-positive OPSCC, marked by a stage-dependent increase in effector T cell infiltration.

Hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) nanosheets have become the most promising candidates as gate dielectric and insulating substrates for two-dimensional (2D) material-based electronic and optoelectronic devices. While mechanical stress in hBN nanosheets is often either intrinsically or intentionally introduced for 2D material-based devices during device fabrication and operation, the dielectric strength of hBN nanosheets under mechanical stress is still elusive. In this work, the dielectric strength of hBN nanosheets in a metal/hBN/metal structure is systematically studied when mechanical stress normal to nanosheets is applied.
