The improper use of chemical pesticides threatens ecosystems and human health, highlighting the need for sustainable alternatives. Nano-pesticides and biological control agents offer a solution, and their combination can reduce pesticide usage and improve pest control efficacy. This study utilized a star polycation (SPc) to prepare a metaflumizone nano-pesticide and combined it with the egg parasitoid (Telenomus remus) for synergistic pest management.

Calix[]azanediyldibenzoates (C[]A, where = 3, 4, or 5) are synthesized through a one-step condensation reaction between dimethyl 2,2'-azanediyldibenzoate and paraformaldehyde. Compared to the monomer, the macrocycles exhibit a fast and significant acidochromic response due to the intramolecular charge transfer that is boosted by the synergistic effect of their adsorption and protonation.

Environmental cadmium (Cd) exposure not only poses a significant threat to livestock health but also induces intestinal disorders in sheep. As a critical region for digestion and absorption, damage to the duodenum directly impairs systemic health. To elucidate the key mechanisms underlying Cd-induced duodenal injury and identify preventive and therapeutic strategies, this study utilized Cd-exposed Hu sheep as experimental models and applied multi-omics technologies, including non-targeted metabolomics, proteomics, and transcriptomics.

However, their potential toxicity to environmental and public health remains largely unexplored, and their toxicological mechanism at molecular level is poorly understood. To this context, a hydrophilic and lipophilic diblock polymer (HLDP) was designed and synthesized to develop a novel nanoherbicide metamifop (MP)@HLDP with high herbicidal activity against barnyard grasses (Echinochloa crusgalli).

The incorporation of nanotechnology presents an innovative strategy to overcome the limitations of conventional pesticides for efficient utilization. Herein, a hydrophilic and lipophilic diblock polymer (HLDP) nanocarrier was successfully synthesized and employed to encapsulate monosultap (Mon), yielding a highly-effective nanoformulation. HLDP exhibited a drug loading capacity of approximately 16.

Characterization of blastemal cell types offers potential advantages for further exploration of cell origin, migration, and differentiation during regeneration. Here, we systematically delineated four morphologically distinct regeneration phases, with particular focus on blastemal morphogenesis using the oral siphon (OS) regenerative model in Ciona robusta.

The widespread use of pesticides plays a vital role in safeguarding crop yields and ensuring global food security. However, their improper application has led to serious challenges, including environmental pollution, pesticide residues, and increasing insect resistance. Traditional chemical pesticides are no longer sufficient to meet the demands for sustainable modern agriculture.

Currently, preventing ToCV transmission by selecting the target gene of whiteflies is an effective measure to control ToCV. Proteomic analysis revealed that 14-3-3 protein levels significantly increase in ToCV-infected B.

Immune-challenged microglial cells play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of these disorders. However, the mechanisms through which microglia mediate cognitive impairments in individuals exposed to dual stresses remain poorly understood.

Our research aimed to investigate the impact of low-dose supplemental esketamine infusion on the incidence of postoperative sleep disturbance and the intraoperative frontal EEG characteristics in patients undergoing gynecologic laparoscopic surgery under general anesthesia.
Methods: Ninety-eight patients scheduled for gynecological laparoscopic surgery under general anesthesia were randomly assigned to receive either a continuous infusion of 1 mg · kg-1 · h-1 esketamine or an equivalent volume of normal saline for 30 minutes.
Laser ablation is widely recognized as a non-contact and contamination-free processing technology for fabricating fused silica optics. However, when machining curved optics, the introduction of incidence and path angles inevitably alters laser beam characteristics and complicates path planning. Due to the complex coupling interactions and unique properties of fused silica, the unclear influence mechanism of these angles on laser ablation has become a bottleneck hindering further advancements.

Establishing an appropriate model of intestinal inflammation in vitro is crucial for studying the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). While immortalized cell lines have long been employed to investigate intestinal cell functions and host-pathogen interactions in sheep, they inadequately mimic the physiological characteristics of ovine intestinal inflammation and may lose critical genetic features. The emergence of organoids has revolutionized in vitro intestinal inflammation modeling by offering superior structural and functional fidelity to native tissues.

Cadmium (Cd) contamination in plants and soil poses significant risks to livestock, particularly sheep. Cd exposure often leads to severe gastrointestinal diseases in sheep that are difficult to treat. Milk-derived exosomes, particularly those from sheep milk (SM-Exo), have shown potential in treating gastrointestinal disorders, though their efficacy in Cd-induced colitis remains unclear.
