Research Center of Analytical Instrumentation, School of Mechanical Engineering, Sichuan University, Chengdu 610064, China. Electronic address:

Various surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) biosensors offer powerful tools for the ultrasensitive detection of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and tumor diagnosis. Despite their efficacy, the swift and precise preparation of SERS plasmonic nanostructures poses an ongoing challenge. In this study, we introduce DNA-assisted plasmonic nanostructures capable of producing dual signals and facilitating DNA Walker signal amplification, resulting in the development of a SERS/Fluorescent (FL) dual-mode cytosensor for CTCs detection.

Quantitative physics-physiology relationship modeling of human emotional response to Shu music.

Front Psychol

October 2024

Center for Informational Biology, Key Laboratory for NeuroInformation of Ministry of Education, School of Life Science and Technology, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, China.

Music perception is one of the most complex human neurophysiological phenomena invoked by sensory stimuli, which infers an internal representation of the structured events present in a piece of music and then forms long-term echoic memory for the music. An intrinsic relationship between the basic acoustic property (physics) of music and human emotional response (physiology) to the music is suggested, which can be statistically modeled and explained by using a novel notion termed as quantitative physics-physiology relationship (QPPR). Here, we systematically analyzed the complex response profile of people to traditional/ancient music in the Shu area, a geographical concept located in the Southwest China and one of three major origins of the Chinese nation.

Epigenetic intervention has become an important therapeutic strategy for a variety of diseases, such as cancer. Although a small number of epigenetic drugs have been marketed, most of these inhibitors are limited by their poor efficacy, dose-dependent toxicity, poor selectivity, and drug resistance. The development of covalent inhibitors has progressed from questioning to resurgence.

Methamphetamine abuse impairs sequential working memory.

Front Psychiatry

September 2024

School of Psychology and Cognitive Science, Shanghai Key Laboratory of Mental Health and Psychological Crisis Intervention, East China Normal University, Shanghai, China.

The ability to maintain and manipulate sequential information in working memory, referred to as sequential working memory, plays a vital role in our daily life. While research has shown that methamphetamine abuse affects the neural substrates and the overall functioning of working memory, its specific impact on sequential working memory remains unclear. In this study, we asked 62 abstinent methamphetamine-dependent participants and 59 control participants to complete a digit ordering task in which they saw four digits one-by-one over time and subsequently rearranged them in ascending order.

December 2024

College of Chemistry and Life Science, Sichuan Provincial Key Laboratory for Structural Optimization and Application of Functional Molecules, Chengdu Normal University, Chengdu, 611130, China.

Mn doping has been used to improve the physical chemistry of lead halide perovskite nanocrystals such as CsPbX, where X is a halogen ion. In this paper, a two-phase method for Mn-doped CsPbX nanosheets (where X=Br, Cl), namely water-hexane system, is reported. Compared to conventional catalyst arrays, the band gap of CsPbBr nanocrystalline is easily tuned, the carrier diffusion distance is remote, the band edge position of the band structure is favorable for a wide range of electrocatalytic redox reactions, and the catalytic active site is maximally exposed, providing a larger electrolyte contact area.

  • Fuzheng Xiaozheng prescription (FZXZP) is a medicine that helps treat chronic liver diseases, but how it works for liver cancer (HCC) isn't fully understood yet.
  • This study looked at how FZXZP affects HCC by testing it on rats and liver cancer cells in the lab, finding out that it slowed down cancer growth and killed cancer cells.
  • The researchers discovered that two important ingredients in FZXZP, wogonin and glycitein, play a key role in its cancer-fighting effects, mainly by blocking cell growth and promoting cell death in cancer cells.

It is well known that different muscles of yak exhibit distinctive characteristics, such as muscle fibers and metabolomic profiles. We hypothesized that different muscles could alter the flavor profile of yak jerky. Therefore, the objective of this study was to investigate the differences in flavor profiles of yak jerky produced by (LT), (TB) and (BF) through electronic nose (E-nose), electronic tongue (E-tongue), gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and gas chromatography-ion mobility spectrometry (GC-IMS).

The accurate prediction of building energy consumption on university campuses is a significant research area. Current studies often focus on predicting the energy consumption of specific building areas or individual equipment, and typically consider only one factor, limiting the accuracy and applicability of the predictions. This study introduces the Time Segmented Energy-Multiple Linear Regression (TSE-MLR) prediction model, which integrates the improved fuzzy analytic hierarchy and the multiple linear regression algorithm.

The implementation of a new intermediate-Hamiltonian Fock-space coupled-cluster (IHFSCC) scheme for the (3,0) sector of the Fock space is reported. In this IHFSCC approach, the three-body contributions in the cluster operator corresponding to the (3,0) sector of the Fock space are considered, while and at the (1,0) and (2,0) level only include one- and two-body operators. By introducing a suitable partition of the wave operator, the intermediate Hamiltonian, which only depends on the two-body operator of S, is obtained.

The exploiting of hybrid beamforming (HBF) in massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems can enhance the system's sum rate while reducing power consumption and hardware costs. However, designing an effective hybrid beamformer is challenging, and interference between multiple users can negatively impact system performance. In this paper, we develop a scheme called Subset Optimization Algorithm-Hybrid Beamforming (SOA-HBF) that is based on the subset optimization algorithm (SOA), which effectively reduces inter-user interference by dividing the users set into subsets while optimizing the hybrid beamformer to maximize system capacity.
