Diabetic wound healing remains a critical clinical challenge due to persistent inflammation derived from long-term hyperglycemia. To address this challenge, we reported a zinc ion coordinated CMCS hydrogel for pH responsive delivery of ellagic acid to fulfill diabetic wound management. The incorporation of zinc ions and EA reinforce the hydrogel network via coordination and hydrogen bonding, and confer a pH-responsive release of EA under simulative wound microenvironment.

Objective: Accurate preoperative planning for dental implants, especially in edentulous or partially edentulous patients, relies on precise localization of radiographic templates that guide implant positioning. By wearing a patientspecific radiographic template, clinicians can better assess anatomical constraints and plan optimal implant paths. However, due to the low radiopacity of such templates, their spatial position is difficult to determine directly from cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans.

Developments of novel antifungal agents with unique scaffolds are crucial for sustainable plant protection. In this study, a series of N'-phenylisonicotinohydrazides were designed and synthesized, and their antifungal activity against eight phytopathogenic fungi was evaluated. The results found that most of the target compounds showed excellent antifungal activity with more than 80% inhibition rates against most or all of the tested fungi at 20 µg/mL.

The rapid development of computer-assisted implant surgery (CAIS) and the respective research and clinical applications have necessitated a standardization of the terminology related not only to different devices, but also the different steps involved, surgical and presurgical procedures. The present glossary was introduced at the 1st International Team for Implantology Symposium on Computer-assisted Implant Surgery, based on the collective work of clinicians and researchers with deep understanding and experience in these technologies. The glossary was further refined and revised through the structured input of a large group of global experts within clinical application, research, and education of CAIS.

Immunogenicity activation is vital for radioimmunotherapy, but the short-term oxidative damage caused by precise radiation planning limits this effect. Chemodynamic therapy (CDT) with prolonged generation of hydroxyl radical (•OH) can initiate immunogenicity in combination with X-rays, however, its performance is constrained by tumor insufficient H2O2. Here, we propose to construct β-lapachone-based nanoparticles (β-Lap/Fe NPs) which initiate cascade reactions to generate high levels •OH for an extended period in tumor following X-ray irradiation.

: This study aimed to investigate the association between dietary intake and the risk of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in a rural northern Chinese population, and to explore potential gene-diet interactions that may influence T2DM susceptibility. : A total of 1747 participants (1138 with T2DM and 609 without) were included, using baseline data from a family-based cohort study in rural northern China. Demographic characteristics, lifestyle factors, and medical history were collected via standardized questionnaires.

Molecular electronics has made considerable progress in recent decades. The construction of a stable "electrode-molecule-electrode" junction is critical for the study of molecular electronics, as the stability can promote the exploration of the electrical properties of individual molecules and enable the prolonged observation of physical and chemical phenomena at the single-molecule scale. However, dispersed discussions and conflated concepts hinder our understanding of molecular junction stability.

While parental type 2 diabetes (T2D) is a known risk factor for offspring T2D, the differential impact of maternal versus paternal transmission remains debated. This prospective family-based cohort study enrolled 4508 diabetes-free adults from Northern China with a median 7.32-year follow-up.

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic posed major challenges to parent-adolescent relationships under global stressors. Scant research has examined changes in the daily links between parenting behaviors and adolescent maladjustment before and after the onset of the pandemic. This study investigated the within-day associations between two parenting behaviors-positive parenting and psychological control-and three adolescent maladjustments-conduct problems, emotional problems, and negative affect-before and during COVID-19 through a two-wave multi-informant month-long daily diary study.

Purpose: This study aimed to compare the accuracy of immediate implant placement (IIP) with different implant macrogeometry using a dynamic navigation in the maxillary aesthetic zone.

Methods: Seventy-six extraction sockets in the maxillary aesthetic zone from nineteen partially edentulous models were randomly divided into four implant system groups with different macrogeometry: non-progressive and trapezoidal (NP-T), progressive and trapezoidal (P-T), progressive and V-shaped (P-V), progressive and spiral (P-S). The coronal, apical, and angular deviations of the fully guided implants with navigation were measured and compared among different groups.

Maxillary Sinus Lifting is a crucial surgical procedure for addressing insufficient alveolar bone mass andsevere resorption in dental implant therapy. To accurately analyze the geometry changesof the bone graft (BG) in the maxillary sinus (MS), it is essential to perform quantitative analysis. However, automated BG segmentation remains a major challenge due to the complex local appearance, including blurred boundaries, lesion interference, implant and artifact interference, and BG exceeding the MS.

: Genes and environments were transmitted across generations. Parents' genetics influence the environments of their offspring; these two modes of inheritance can produce a genetic nurture effect, also known as indirect genetic effects. Such indirect effects may partly account for estimated genetic variance in T2D.

Accurate segmentation of the inferior alveolar nerve (IAN) within Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) images is critical for the precise planning of oral and maxillofacial surgeries, especially to avoid IAN damage. Existing methods often fail due to the low contrast of the IAN and the presence of artifacts, which can cause segmentation discontinuities. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a novel approach that employs Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline (NURBS) curve shape priors into a multiscale attention network for the automatic segmentation of the IAN.

Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) and cerebrovascular diseases (CeVDs) are closely related vascular diseases, sharing common cardiometabolic risk factors (RFs). Although pleiotropic genetic variants of these two diseases have been reported, their underlying pathological mechanisms are still unclear. Leveraging GWAS summary data and using genetic correlation, pleiotropic variants identification, and colocalization analyses, we identified 11 colocalized loci for CVDs-CeVDs-BP (blood pressure), CVDs-CeVDs-LIP (lipid traits), and CVDs-CeVDs-cIMT (carotid intima-media thickness) triplets.
