Somatic retinoblastoma 1 () loss is prevalent across different cancer types and is enriched in treatment-refractory tumors, such as castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) and small-cell lung cancer, but cannot be considered as a direct druggable target. In this study, we revealed that the close proximity of nudix hydrolase 15 () and may result in their common somatic codeletion or epigenomic cosilencing in different cancer types and subsequent significant positive correlations of their expressions at the bulk transcriptional and single-cell levels. With clinical CRPC samples, co-loss of and were commonly observed (14 out of 21).

Gastrodia elata, a fully mycoheterotrophic plant, depends entirely on its symbiotic association with Mycena for early growth and seed germination. The process by which Mycena enables the supply of nitrogen nutrients and auxin, which are deficient in G.

The integration of this technology with deep learning to facilitate automated bacterial Raman spectroscopy diagnosis has emerged as a key focus in recent research. However, the diagnostic performance of existing deep learning methods largely depends on a sufficient dataset, and in scenarios where there is a limited availability of Raman spectroscopy data, it is inadequate to fully optimize the numerous parameters of deep neural networks.

Polyacrylamide, a classic polymer material, has been extensively applied in both industrial production and daily life, owing to its outstanding physical and chemical properties. However, the absence of a conjugated π-electron system in its molecular structure severely restricts its application in the field of fluorescence. In this study, a novel fluorescent polyacrylamide sensor (P) was synthesized via free-radical precipitation polymerization using acrylamide and 3-[(Allylaminothiocarbonyl)hydrazinecarbonyl]-7-(diethylamino)-2H-chromen-2-one as monomers.

A novel SeparableBlock architecture is introduced, which integrates residual connections and a channel attention mechanism to enhance feature discrimination and training stability under high Doppler conditions. By decomposing standard convolutions into depthwise and pointwise operations, the model achieves a substantial reduction in computational complexity.

Semi-supervised learning has gained considerable popularity in medical image segmentation tasks due to its capability to reduce reliance on expert-examined annotations. Several mean-teacher (MT) based semi-supervised methods utilize consistency regularization to effectively leverage valuable information from unlabeled data. However, these methods often heavily rely on the student model and overlook the potential impact of cognitive biases within the model.

However, the exponentially increasing conduction loss at elevated temperatures results in a decline in both energy storage density and efficiency. Herein, a cross-scale synergistic regulation strategy that integrates mesoscale free volume and molecular-scale charge trap, effectively addressing the issue of free volume collapse and space charge accumulation under thermal-electric coupling stress is proposed.

Methods: Patients undergoing CVVH with RCA were randomly divided into a control group and a prereduction group, with the latter receiving reduced sodium bicarbonate concentration levels to achieve the desired level after three hours of treatment. The investigation focused on variations in pH, bicarbonate ion levels and the frequency of sodium bicarbonate dosage adjustments at different intervals during CVVH.

Rationale: Symmetrical peripheral gangrene (SPG) is a rare and life-threatening condition characterized by symmetrical distal ischemic damage that can progress to gangrene at 2 or more anatomical sites, without involvement of a large vessel obstruction or vasculitis. We report the case of an older adult female who developed septic shock and disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) postoperatively, complicated by the onset of SPG.
Patient Concerns: A 66-year-old female was transferred to the intensive care unit for postoperative management.

The development of flexible fuel cells has been hindered by the rigid components and stringent requirements for pressure encapsulation and fuel sealing. Here we report an adaptive internal pressure encapsulation strategy that leverages the dynamic swelling behaviour of woven cotton fibres enclosed in a gel matrix in methanol. This strategy achieves simultaneous interfacial self-reinforcement and pressure modulation, enabling the fabrication of fibre-shaped direct methanol fuel cells.

This study compared short-term outcomes between percutaneous external fixation and traditional subcutaneous fixation of fascial flaps in CuTS surgery.
Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, 114 patients who underwent anterior ulnar nerve transposition with fascial flap coverage were enrolled between January 2020 and December 2023.

This prospective study evaluated the effectiveness of pre-and postoperative electroacupuncture (EA) intervention in mitigating PND in this patient cohort.
Methods: A double-masked, randomized controlled trial was conducted involving 60 elderly patients (≥65 years) with fragility hip fractures scheduled for surgical repair.

Background: The differential diagnosis between hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is crucial. The individual differences of patients increase the complexity of diagnosis. Currently, imaging diagnosis mainly relies on conventional computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), but few studies have investigated MRI functional imaging.

Inorganic phosphate (Pi) is essential for plant growth and development, yet the regulatory role of gibberellic acid (GA) in Pi uptake in rice remains poorly understood. Here, we identified a major quantitative trait locus (QTL) for phosphorus and nitrogen concentrations, which corresponds to an allele of the Green Revolution gene Semi-Dwarf 1 (SD1), encoding GA20-oxidase, a key enzyme in GA biosynthesis. Through functional analyses of near-isogenic lines, genetic complementation, overexpression, and knockout transgenic lines, we demonstrated that SD1 enhances Pi uptake in rice.

Caryophyllaceae- like CPs, one of the largest types plant-derived CPs, typically consist of 5–12 amino acids and are derived from ribosomally synthesized peptide precursors. The diversity of CPs arises from variations in their core peptide sequences.

While chemically-induced phase boundaries have enabled ultrahigh electrical and electromechanical responses in lead-based ferroelectrics, precise chemical tuning in lead-free alternatives, such as (K,Na)NbO thin films, remains challenging due to the high volatility of alkali metals. Here, we demonstrate strain-induced morphotropic phase boundary-like polymorphic nanodomain structures in chemically simple, lead-free, epitaxial NaNbO thin films.

The cupulopathy can manifest as HSC-light cupula (HSC-Lcu) (geotropic DCPN) and HSC-heavy cupula (HSC-Hcu) (apogeotropic DCPN) in the supine roll test (SRT). Whether the affected side of cupulopathy could be based on the nystagmus intensity in the SRT is controversial.
