COL4A1, a key component of the basement membrane, has been increasingly implicated in tumor progression, yet its role in colon cancer remains incompletely understood. In this study, we conducted a comprehensive integrative analysis using transcriptomic data from the TCGA-COAD cohort, combined with functional validation in colon cancer cell lines. Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) revealed that high COL4A1 expression was associated with oncogenic pathways including epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), KRAS signaling, and inflammatory responses.

Background: The intact tendon-bone interface (TBI) consists of four histological layers-tendon, fibrocartilage, calcified fibrocartilage, and bone-that gradually merge into each other, making complete structural restoration after injury challenging. Osteoporosis poses a significant risk for rotator cuff tears (RCTs) and re-tears after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair (ARCR). Activating Leptin receptor (Lepr) mediated Stat3 signaling transduction facilitates the transcription of Runx2 and Sox9, respectively, and promotes osteogenesis and chondrogenesis.

Background: Tibial plateau fracture is one of the common fractures in the lower limb, mostly caused by high-energy injuries, which may be accompanied by different degrees of compression and displacement of the joint surface, affecting the knee joint alignment, stability, and sports function, and improper treatment may cause various complications, which are a more difficult problem in the clinic. The objective of this study was to investigate the biomechanical mechanisms underlying effective closed reduction in the treatment of tibial plateau fractures, particularly focusing on the performance of the homeopathic double reverse traction repositor compared to traditional traction table methods.

Methods: We developed a biomechanical model to analyze the equilibrium mechanics during tibial plateau fracture reduction.

Arthroscopy has gradually become the routine method to treat posterior cruciate ligament tibial insertion avulsion. However, arthroscopic surgery possesses the advantages of being minimally invasive, having a good appearance, and having no need for revision surgery for internal fixation. Compared with open surgery, it is limited by disadvantages such as unstable fixation, unsatisfactory reduction, and fracture fragment displacement.

Compared with anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) reconstruction has a higher failure rate and revision rate, which is associated with multiple factors such as graft option, fixation method, postoperative rehabilitation, and management of concomitant injuries. Among them, "killer turn" is a key factor in the failure of PCL reconstruction. Although there are various techniques for PCL reconstruction, the ideal surgery remains controversial.

An increasing amount of evidence shows that type I interferon response, which is induced by cyclic guanosine monophosphate-adenosine monophosphate synthase (cGAS) and stimulator of interferon genes (STING) is closely associated with health and neuroinflammatory diseases. Abnormal activation or loss of control of the cGAS-STING axis affects the development of neuroinflammation. Thus, we examined its role in major neurological diseases, including traumatic brain injury, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, multiple sclerosis, herpes simplex encephalitis, and ataxia-telangiectasia.
