Background: Robotic single-port transvaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (RSP-vNOTES) is an emerging minimally invasive approach that combines the advantages of robotic surgery with scarless transvaginal access. Its application in gynecologic oncology remains limited, particularly for omentectomy during ovarian cancer staging.
Methods: We present the case of a 45-year-old woman with an ovarian granulosa cell tumor (GCT) who underwent supplemental staging surgery following unilateral oophorectomy.

Halogenated phenazines hold promise as antimicrobial and antibiofilm agents, yet are mainly accessed via chemical synthesis. Herein, we report PezW, a novel single-component flavin-dependent halogenase (FDH) that halogenates phenazine scaffolds, notably enabling enzymatic synthesis of bioactive 2-bromo-1-hydroxyphenazine () and 2,4-bromo-1-hydroxyphenazine (). Structural modeling and mutagenesis revealed key residues critical for substrate binding and catalysis.

Age-related eye diseases (AREDs) are the leading cause of visual impairment in the elderly, affecting the structure of the anterior and posterior segments of the eye, significantly reducing the quality of life of patients, and even leading to irreversible blindness. Typical AREDs include age-related cataract (ARC), dry eye disease (DED), age-related macular degeneration (AMD), glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy (DR), the global prevalence of which continues to rise, becoming a serious public health concern. SIRT1 is an NAD + dependent deacetylase, which plays an important physiological regulatory role in ocular tissues, mainly affecting gene expression and various cellular processes by regulating the acetylation status of substrate proteins.

Background: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) play a pivotal role in the treatment of advanced gastric cancer (GC). However, the biomarkers used to predict ICI efficacy are limited due to their reliance on single or static tumor characteristics. This study aims to develop a machine learning (ML) model that incorporates dynamic changes in clinlabomics data to optimize the predictive accuracy of ICI efficacy.

Purpose: To enhance the temporal feature learning capability of the laparoscopic cholecystectomy phase recognition model and address the class imbalance issue in the training data, this paper proposes an Xception-dual-channel LSTM fusion model based on a dynamic data balancing strategy.
Methods: The model dynamically adjusts the undersampling rate for each surgical phase, extracting short video clips from the original data as training samples to balance the data distribution and mitigate biased learning. The Xception model, utilizing depthwise separable convolutions, extracts fundamental visual features frame by frame, which are then passed to a dual-channel LSTM network.

The behavior of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) released from tire road wear particles (TRWPs) in human digestive fluids may pose a significant risk to human health. However, the current understanding of the release pattern and influencing factors of PAHs from TRWPs is still insufficient. In this study, the release characteristics of PAHs from UV-aging TRWPs (ATRWPs) were systematically investigated by in vitro digestive simulation experiments, release kinetic model fitting and control variable experiments.

Copper (Cu) is an essential micronutrient in various enzymatic and physiological functions. However, excessive copper intake, mainly resulting from industrial emissions and improper agricultural practices, has raised growing concerns due to its toxicological effects, particularly on the male reproductive system. This review summarizes current research progress on copper-induced reproductive toxicity in males, emphasizing its impact on sperm quality, androgen production, and testicular structure and function.

The singular forms of programmed cell death (PCD), including pyroptosis, apoptosis, and necroptosis, are inadequate for comprehensively elucidating the complex pathological mechanisms underlying ischemic diseases. PANoptosis is a unique lytic, innate immune, and inflammatory cell death pathway, initiated by innate immune sensors and driven by caspases and RIPKs through PANoptosome complexes. In diseases like cerebral ischemia, retinal ischemia, myocardial ischemia, renal ischemia, and spinal cord ischemia, targeting key regulatory factors of PANoptosis can help mitigate tissue damage.

Wheat yellow mosaic virus (WYMV) is the main cause of wheat yellow mosaic disease. Although its regulation of protein translation and interactions with host proteins are well-studied, independent regulation of the virus genome is poorly understood. This study performed in vitro experiments investigating replication regulation by the 5' UTR and 3' UTR of WYMV RNA2.

Transcription factors (TFs) are essential proteins that regulate gene expression by specifically binding to transcription factor binding sites (TFBSs) within DNA sequences. Their ability to precisely control the transcription process is crucial for understanding gene regulatory networks, uncovering disease mechanisms, and designing synthetic biology tools. Accurate TFBS prediction, therefore, holds significant importance in advancing these areas of research.

The aluminum electrolysis industry generates massive greenhouse gas emissions dominated by CO and perfluorocarbons (PFCs, CF/CF), presenting dual challenges of climate impact and resource waste. Here, we report a robust nickel-based metal-organic framework (SIFSIX-3-Ni) featuring confined square channels (3.55 Å) that achieves the molecular-sieving separation of CO from CF/CF mixtures.

This study investigates the impact of transportation infrastructure financed by Chinese aid on child health in 11 sub-Saharan African countries using Demographic and Health Survey data matched with the precise geospatial features of transportation infrastructure. We find that an additional year of exposure to transportation infrastructure significantly increases children's height-for-age z-scores by 0.041 standard deviations and reduces the likelihood of stunting by 1.

Primary agricultural products are closely related to our daily lives, as they serve not only as raw materials for food processing but also as products directly purchased by consumers. These products face the issue of freshness decline and spoilage during both production and consumption. Freshness degradation induces sensory deterioration and nutritional loss and promotes harmful substance accumulation, causing gastrointestinal issues or even endangering life.

Purpose: Urosepsis, a condition caused by a urinary tract infection spreading to the bloodstream, has a complex epigenetic behavior in its cellular and molecular pathophysiology. The objective of this study was to identify relevant genes and signaling pathways in adult urosepsis through a bioinformatic analysis of differentially expressed genes (DEGs).
Materials And Methods: In this in-silico study, the GSE69528 dataset, containing 138 total RNA blood samples from patients with sepsis and uninfected controls, was obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database.
Purpose: To describe our integrated pelvic fascial structure-sparing (IPFSS) technique for robotic-assisted radical cystectomy (RARC) with intracorporeal orthotopic neobladder (ONB) reconstruction and to evaluate its impact on urinary continence and sexual function in male patients.
Methods: This retrospective observational study was conducted at a single high-volume center. Male bladder cancer patients who underwent IPFSS RARC with ONB were included.
