Background: Klebsiella pneumoniae is ubiquitous in animals, humans, and the environment, facilitating the dissemination of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and virulence traits. Most studies are primarily focused on human clinical isolates, leaving critical gaps in understanding non-human reservoirs and cross-species transmission risks.
Methods: We combined large-scale genomic analyses with in vitro and in vivo infection models to characterize the evolutionary dynamics of 2809 K.

Methicillin-resistant (MRSA) represents a major clinical challenge as a predominant pathogen causing chronic and difficult-to-treat wound infections. Effective strategies that simultaneously combat bacterial infection and promote tissue regeneration are essential yet challenging for managing MRSA-related wound complications. Herein, we report the design of a novel integrated dual-gas release molecular platform, which enable the phototriggered simultaneous release of NO and CO within a single molecular entity, i.

However, Bb strains are intrinsically resistant to several antibiotics commonly used to treat respiratory infections. Phage therapy has been recognized as a promising strategy to combat bacterial infections.

Background: Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) have recently garnered attention for their possible neurotoxic effects. This study was meticulously crafted to assess the influence of PAHs exposure on the emergence of perinatal anxiety symptoms.
Methods: From April 28, 2020, to July 20, 2021, a case-control study recruiting eligible pregnant women was conducted in two primary hospitals in Hefei City, China.
Evidence suggests that cognitive impairments due to obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) are related to abnormal lipid metabolism. Abnormal lipid metabolism in the brain might be a potential cause of neurodegeneration. Nonetheless, there is limited clarity regarding the comprehensive lipid metabolism changes in the hippocampus induced by chronic intermittent hypoxia (CIH).

However, pathophysiological traits in OSA patients with nGER were poorly understood, and arousal threshold (ArTH) might play an important role in this relationship. This study aimed to identify the clinical characteristics of patients with OSA comorbid with nGER, and investigate the association between ArTH and nGER in patients with OSA.

Background: Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) is the most common liver disorder associated with pregnancy and is usually diagnosed based on high serum bile acid. However, the pathogenesis of ICP is unclear. Ferroptosis has been reported as an iron-dependent mechanism of cell death.

We have designed a dual adeno-associated viral vector encoding a split-intein adenine base editor to correct the most common mutation in ABCA4 (c.5882G>A, p.

However, the role of CSN5 in plant immunity is largely unexplored. Here, we found that suppression of in rice enhances resistance against the fungal pathogen and the bacterial pathogen pv.

Background: Echinococcosis is an infectious parasitic disease that is extremely harmful to human health. Albendazole is provided free of charge to patients requiring medication under the central government finance transfer payment scheme for echinococcosis control and prevention in China. Our aim is to monitor the state of patient medication and its therapeutic impact, which will help improve medication compliance and the therapeutic effect.

Tensor networks are emerging architectures for implementing quantum classification models. The branching multi-scale entanglement renormalization ansatz (BMERA) is a tensor network known for its enhanced entanglement properties. This paper introduces a hybrid quantum-classical classification model based on BMERA and explores the correlation between circuit layout, expressiveness, and classification accuracy.

This study aimed to analyze the epidemiological status and spatiotemporal clustering characteristics of VL in Xinjiang, China, between 2004 and 2021 to provide a basis for the development and implementation of surveillance and response measures. Data on VL incidence during 2004-2021 were collected from the National Diseases Reporting Information System of China.

Methods: A hybrid effectiveness-implementation trial was conducted in two antenatal clinics in Hefei, China, to assess the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of application-based tiered care (Mom's Good Mood, MGM) in treating PNA and to understand how well it fits into routine practices. Pregnant women who scored at least 5 points on the 7-Item Generalised Anxiety Disorder Scale (GAD-7) scale were successively assigned to the control group or the intervention group, which were given the usual care and MGM on usual care, respectively.
Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) is a pregnancy-specific liver disease, which can lead to adverse fetal outcomes, including preterm labor and intrauterine death. The pathogenesis of ICP is still unclear. We hypothesized that pathological index leads to abnormal placenta changes in ICP.

Objective: To explore the independent and combined effects of smoking and passive smoking during pregnancy on maternal depression, anxiety and depressive anxiety comorbidities.
Methods: From August 2020 to February 2022, women who underwent 42-day postpartum examination in Changfeng Women's Center and Shuangfeng Hospital of Hefei were recruited. Their depression and anxiety symptoms were assessed using EPDS Scale and GAD Scale, respectively, and smoking and passive smoking status during pregnancy were collected.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the ability of 4-formylphenyl acrylate (FA) to enhance the bond strength and stabilize the resin-dentin bonding interface of universal adhesives in self-etching mode over time.
Methods: Different concentrations of FA (1%, 3%, 5%, 7%, 9%) were prepared as primer. The optimal group was selected according to degree of conversion of 2 universal adhesives (Single Bond Universal (SBU)/All-Bond Universal (ABU)), and grouped according to the pre-treatment time (30s, 1min, 2min).

Objective: Although paradoxical insomnia is a prevalent subtype of chronic insomnia, the etiology of it is unclear. Contrary to complaints of little or no sleep, polysomnography (PSG) findings show that paradoxical insomnia patients have near normal sleep macrostructure. The purpose of this study is to determine the changes of microstructure and explore the etiology of paradoxical insomnia.

Organoids generated from human pluripotent stem cells provide experimental systems to study development and disease, but quantitative measurements across different spatial scales and molecular modalities are lacking. In this study, we generated multiplexed protein maps over a retinal organoid time course and primary adult human retinal tissue. We developed a toolkit to visualize progenitor and neuron location, the spatial arrangements of extracellular and subcellular components and global patterning in each organoid and primary tissue.

The Thinking Healthy Programme (THP), developed under the core theory of cognitive-behavioural therapy, is an evidence-based approach that is recommended as a psychosocial intervention for managing PND in low/middle-income countries. Sparse evidence has been generated, however, to assess the effectiveness of THP and guide its implementation in China.
