Objective: This study aimed to integrate network pharmacology, bioinformatics analysis, molecular docking, and experimental validation to construct a "component-target-pathway" multidimensional network model, systematically elucidate the potential mechanisms underlying the therapeutic effects of the extract of Potentilla freyniana Bornm. (PFB) on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and thereby clarify its pharmacological basis.
Methods: HCC datasets were retrieved from GEO and TCGA databases, and the DEGs were screened.
Sepsis-associated pulmonary fibrosis (SAPF) is a life-threatening condition driven by persistent fibroblast activation and excessive extracellular matrix (ECM) deposition. While metabolic reprogramming, profibrotic extracellular vesicles (EVs), and integrin activation are implicated in pulmonary fibrosis, their interplay remains unclear. This study reveals that succinic acid, a product of glycometabolic reprogramming, promotes macrophage-mediated endocytosis, driving the release of profibrotic EVs.

Biofluid flow generates fluid shear stress (FSS), a mechanical force widely present in the tissue microenvironment. How brain tumour growth alters the conduit of biofluid and impacts FSS-regulated cancer progression is unknown. Dissemination of medulloblastoma (MB) cells into the cerebrospinal fluid initiates metastasis within the central nervous system.

Background: Klebsiella pneumoniae is ubiquitous in animals, humans, and the environment, facilitating the dissemination of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and virulence traits. Most studies are primarily focused on human clinical isolates, leaving critical gaps in understanding non-human reservoirs and cross-species transmission risks.
Methods: We combined large-scale genomic analyses with in vitro and in vivo infection models to characterize the evolutionary dynamics of 2809 K.
The Chinese Expert Consensus on central precocious puberty (CPP) defines girls' rapid sexual development before age 8 as CPP; while after age 8 as early normal puberty (ENP). And the use of recombinant human growth hormone (rhGH) for CPP and ENP is off-label and lacks reliable evidence for clinical practice. This study only included girls due to the low prevalence among boys.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate comprehensively and quantitatively the efficacy of manipulation and therapeutic exercise acting on the neck region of patients with myogenous temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD) using meta-analysis.
Methods: Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in regard to this issue were searched in electronic databases. The timeframe was from the starting year of inclusion in each database to 25 December 2024 for all searches.
Herein, the tetra (4-carboxyphenyl) porphyrin (TCPP) based metal-organic frameworks with high peroxidase (POD)-like activity were designed and fabricated for detection and degradation of aflatoxin B (AFB) in dried fruits. The strategy of metal ratio (Fe/Co/Ni) tuning was adopted to obtain the optimal enzymatic activity of TCPP-Fe/Co/Ni. The aptamer-modified TCPP-Fe/Co/Ni/ssDNA composite specifically binds AFB, with the presence of AFB inhibiting the POD-like activity of the material, thus establishing a rapid and sensitive colorimetric method for AFB detection.

To evaluate its potential as a novel source of dipeptidyl peptidase-IV (DPP-IV) inhibitory peptides, ESM was enzymatically hydrolyzed using five proteases, among which alkaline proteases exhibited the most effective hydrolysis. The resulting hydrolysates were systematically assessed for DPP-IV inhibitory activity, amino acid composition, and peptide sequence characteristics.

Chimeric antigen receptor macrophages (CAR-M) represent promising candidates for cancer therapy owing to their superior tumour-infiltrating and antigen-specific phagocytotic abilities, and to being professional antigen presenting cells. However, broader applications of CAR-Ms face challenges such as complex manufacturing processes and predominant accumulation in the liver following intravenous administration.

Although multiple treatment options are available, their efficacy is often limited due to the heterogeneous nature of asthma. Luteolin (LUT), a naturally occurring flavonoid, has demonstrated therapeutic potential in various inflammatory conditions.

The mechanisms of MV-induced pulmonary fibrosis (MVPF) remain poorly understood. Ferritinophagy, a novel autophagic process, regulates ferroptosis and the release of ferritin-containing extracellular vesicles (EVs), both of which may contribute to MVPF.

Deletion of either protease from an infectious clone abolishes infectivity. We report a mild ANSSV isolate, designated ANSSVm, from areca palm leaves exhibiting mild chlorosis.

We find that macrophages co-expressing AR and triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-2 (TREM2) exhibiting potent immunosuppressive and tumour-promoting effects. Genetic ablation of TREM2 combined with pharmacological blockade of AR, significantly reduces tumour progression in prostate cancer mouse models.

Several lines of evidence suggest that mutations in the human TSPEAR gene are associated with hearing loss or ectodermal dysplasia. Although tooth abnormalities and a reduced capacity for caudal fin regeneration were observed in the Tspeara;Tspearb knockout zebrafish model, there have been no reports of the Tspear knockout mouse model to date, which hampers further investigation of its physiological role.

Residual egg yolk in egg white, a common issue in industrial processing, impairs foaming properties vital for aerated bakery products. This study reveals that yolk residue ≥0.7 % (w/w) destabilizes foams via lipid bridge formation and interfacial protein network disruption.

Excessive NETs formation exacerbates lung injury by triggering inflammation, impairing essential alveolar macrophage functions and activating the coagulation cascade. Consequently, inhibiting NETs formation represents a promising strategy for treating ALI.

Lipid droplets are dynamic organelles involved in lipid metabolism and various metabolic disorders. Herein, we report the design and synthesis of a novel amphiphilic polymer based on 18β-glycyrrhetinic acid (GA). GA was chemically conjugated to polyethylene glycol (PEG) and further functionalized with a lipid droplet-targeting fluorescent probe D via an oxalate ester bond, then self-assembly yielding PGOD nanoplatform.

Mitochondrial diseases have become important in modern medical research due to their complex genetic background and diverse clinical manifestations. Studies in recent years have shown that estrogen plays an essential role in physiological regulation and may also affect the health status of cells by regulating mitochondrial function, which in turn affects the occurrence and development of diseases.

Recent advances in immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), particularly those targeting PD-1/PD-L1, have transformed cancer treatment. However, their efficacy is often hampered by the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME). Here, we developed a cantharidin-loaded nanomedicine (CA@TPGS-AmP), composed of D-α-tocopheryl polyethylene glycol succinate (TPGS) and naturally derived amphiphilic peptides (AmP), designed to enhance PD-1 blockade via induction of immunogenic cell death (ICD).

Leptomeningeal metastases are the most important source of morbidity and mortality for medulloblastoma patients. Radiation of the entire brain is highly effective in the treatment and/or prevention of medulloblastoma leptomeningeal metastases. Infants treated on clinical trials with focal tumor radiation recur metastatically, whereas infants treated with only chemotherapy relapse locally.

To address this, trypsin and papain hydrolysis were employed to depolymerize pasteurized egg white (PEW) and five freeze-thaw cycles treated egg white (FT-5). The maximum FC (403 %) achieved with a 60-min trypsin treatment.
