Methods: Eighty-six male patients with voluntary sterilization were divided into control group (usual vasectomy, n=50) and observation group (sterilization of vas deferens by irrigation, n=36). The age, testicular volume, preoperative average concentration of spern, serum testosterone level, recovery duration evaluated by Artificial Obstruction Azoospermia (AOA) and degree of satisfaction were compared between the two groups of patients.

In recent years, while main-group elements from the - and -block have emerged in the field of N activation, silylenes─despite their remarkable successes in the activation of diverse small molecules─remain unreported for N activation. Herein, we design "silylene-borole" frustrated Lewis pairs (FLPs) by combining silylene moieties with boron components and conduct comprehensive density functional theory (DFT) calculations to thoroughly investigate their potential for N activation. Screening silylene moieties via machine learning suggests that a smaller Δ value will benefit N activation thermodynamically.

Background: Lumbar disc degeneration (LDD) displays considerable heterogeneity in terms of clinical features and pathological changes. However, researchers have not clearly determined whether the transcriptome variations in LDD could be used to identify or interpret the causes of heterogeneity in clinical features. This study aimed to identify the transcriptomic classification of degenerated discs in LDD patients and whether the molecular subtypes of LDD could be accurately predicted using clinical features.

Predicting Dinitrogen Activation and Coupling with Carbon Dioxide and Other Small Molecules by Methyleneborane: A Combined DFT and Machine Learning Study.

The capture of carbon dioxide is extremely important due to the increasingly severe greenhouse effect, and the conversion of dinitrogen into high-value N-C compounds is of great significance. Here, we predict through density functional theory calculations that the coupling of dinitrogen with carbon dioxide by methyleneborane becomes favorable both thermodynamically and kinetically. Machine learning analysis suggests that increasing the HOMO-LUMO gap or the charge on the boron atom or decreasing the charge of the nitrogen atom will reduce the reaction energies.

MicroDreamer: Efficient 3D Generation in $\sim$20 Seconds by Score-based Iterative Reconstruction.

Optimization-based approaches, such as score distillation sampling (SDS), show promise in zero-shot 3D generation but suffer from low efficiency, primarily due to the high number of function evaluations (NFEs) required for each sample and the limitation of optimization confined to latent space. This paper introduces score-based iterative reconstruction (SIR), an efficient and general algorithm mimicking a differentiable 3D reconstruction process to reduce the NFEs and enable optimization in pixel space. Given a single set of images sampled from a multi-view score-based diffusion model, SIR repeatedly optimizes 3D parameters, unlike the single-step optimization in SDS.

Association of the number of minor hallucinations and well-structured visual hallucinations in Parkinson's disease.

Minor hallucinations (MH), comprising three subtypes (presence hallucinations, passage hallucinations, and visual illusions), typically emerge during the early stages of Parkinson's disease (PD) and precede the onset of well-structured visual hallucinations (VH). Whether the number of MH is associated with VH in PD patients remains unclear. We investigated the association between the number of MH and VH in 372 PD patients.

Objective: This study constructed machine learning (ML) models based on 10 different algorithms using the ratio of preoperative and postoperative hematological indicators to predict the risk factors for perioperative Clavien-Dindo grade III/IV complications after anterior resection in rectal cancer patients who underwent neoadjuvant therapy.

Methods: Rectal cancer patients undergoing anterior resection after neoadjuvant therapy at the Xijing Hospital of Digestive Diseases were retrospectively collected from January 2011 to December 2021. Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curves, calibration curve, Decision Curve Analysis (DCA), accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), negative predictive value (NPV) and F1 score were used to evaluate the model performance.

Multiferroic (MF) materials, exhibiting magnetic-electronic coupling properties, hold transformative potential for application in low-power spintronic devices. In this work, we investigate the structural, electronic and magnetic properties of a multiferroic MnGaSSe monolayer using first-principles calculations. Our results show that the -phase MnGaSSe (-MnGaSSe) monolayer exhibits a ferromagnetic (FM) semimetallic character with long-range magnetic order, while the -phase MnGaSSe (-MnGaSSe) monolayer adopts an FM metallic ground state.

Mechanisms of dynamic seepage response of H and Pu in the surrounding of a disposal repository in northwest China.

During the disposal of low- and intermediate-level waste, damage to the fuel casing through oxidation and breakage can lead to the leaching and migration of radionuclides, posing significant risks to the surrounding environment. This study addresses these challenges by highlighting the limitations of relying solely on batch experiments and chemical reaction models, which may lead to overly conservative assessments of radionuclide migration. Instead, a comprehensive approach that integrates both physical nonequilibrium and chemical nonequilibrium adsorption mechanisms is warranted for a more accurate appraisal of the adsorption behavior of Pu within environmental media.

Phase 2 Study of Relmacabtagene Autoleucel (CD19 CAR-T) for Relapsed/Refractory Mantle Cell Lymphoma in Chinese Adults.

Relma-cel, an anti-CD19 CAR-T therapy, is approved in China for R/R large B-cell lymphoma and follicular lymphoma. This phase 2, open-label, single-arm, multicenter study evaluated its efficacy and safety in Chinese patients with heavily pretreated R/R mantle cell lymphoma. A total of 70 patients with R/R MCL who had undergone 1-9 prior therapies (including anthracycline or bendamustine chemotherapy, anti-CD20 antibodies, and BTK inhibitors) were enrolled.
