Background: Patients with multiple myeloma (MM) and renal impairment (RI), particularly those requiring dialysis, have historically experienced poor outcomes. Despite advancements in targeted therapies, the prognosis of dialysis-dependent MM and factors influencing dialysis independence remain unclear.
Objectives: This study aimed to provide a comprehensive analysis of the clinical manifestations and treatment outcomes of dialysis-dependent MM patients in China, and to explore the factors associated with dialysis independence and long-term survival.
Objective: To compare maternal and neonatal outcomes in women with a previous history of pregnancy loss and/or preterm delivery who underwent ultrasound-indicated cerclage (UIC) or history-indicated cerclage (HIC).
Methods: PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and Embase databases were searched for observational studies and randomized controlled trials (RCT) from inception to 30 April 2024. Eligible studies should have compared the outcomes of women with singleton pregnancies who underwent UIC or HIC.
Background And Aims: The beneficial effect of pre-treatment with unfractionated heparin (UFH) at first medical contact (FMC) before primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI) in all-comers with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) remains uncertain.
Methods: HELP-PCI was an investigator-initiated, randomized controlled trial conducted at 36 clinical centres in China. Patients with STEMI presenting ≤12 h after symptom onset undergoing PPCI were randomly assigned (1:1) to intravenous administration with UFH (100 U/kg) at FMC or in the Cath Lab through a catheter sheath.

The vacuolar-type H-ATPase (V-ATPase) has emerged as a promising molecular target for the development of new pesticides. In our previous work, we employed computer-aided drug design (CADD) strategies targeting the V-ATPase H subunit of the Mythimna separata. Through homology modeling, virtual screening, and lead compound synthesis, we successfully identified 4-propargyloxybenzenesulfonamide as a potent insecticidal compound.

However, the synergisms and mechanisms associated with these mixed pollutants are largely overlooked. The combined application of atomic force microscopy, high-resolution mass spectrometry, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, isothermal titration calorimetry, and quantum chemical calculations revealed that cadmium (Cd) was capable of forming tridentate coordination complexes with typical organic beneficiation reagents, namely xanthates (ethyl, isopropyl, and butyl xanthates).

This study probes the vulnerabilities of cooperative multi-agent reinforcement learning (c-MARL) under adversarial attacks, a critical determinant of c-MARL's worst-case performance prior to real-world implementation. Current observation-based attacks, constrained by white-box assumptions, overlook c-MARL's complex multi-agent interactions and cooperative objectives, resulting in impractical and limited attack capabilities. To address these shortcomes, we propose Adversarial Minority Influence (AMI), a practical and strong for c-MARL.

Background: Deep gray matter (DGM) iron deposition and white matter hyperintensity (WMH) often occur simultaneously in hypertensive patients. However, their relationship and effect on cognition in hypertension remain unclear. We aimed to investigate the correlation between DGM iron deposition, WMH, and cognitive impairment.

Recently, the observation of charge transfer and interfacial polarons in a superconducting interface has aroused extensive research interest. However, experimental data to investigate charge transfer on the CuO plane and the presence of polarons are still missing.

Current evidence remains inconclusive regarding the prognostic relevance of fusion partners in 11q23/KMT2A-rearranged AML. The comprehensive mutational landscape and prognostic implications of co-occurring driver mutations remain poorly characterized.

In the previous work, the natural product cingulin V, which was isolated from Celastrus angulatus Maxim in our laboratory, was determined to act on the subunit H on V-ATPase. After homology modeling and virtual docking of the subunit H on V-ATPase, the highest scoring compound was selected for structural modification; two critical functional groups-the sulfonamide and propargyloxy moieties-were ultimately identified as being essential for the significant enhancement of insecticidal activity.

Background: The treatment of complex spinal deformities poses significant challenges, as the placement of pedicle screws and the execution of osteotomies within deformed vertebral structures carry an elevated risk of neurological complications. Numerous techniques have been developed to enhance the safety and accuracy of pedicle screw placement and osteotomies. Among these techniques, patient-specific guides, which feature pre-defined and pre-validated trajectories, present an attractive solution for achieving precision in screw placement and osteotomies.

Classical stoichiometric algorithms such as OptForce and FSEOF narrow the experimental search space but fail to account for thermodynamic feasibility and enzyme-usage costs, leaving a space for their predictive performance. In this study, we introduce ET-OptME, a framework integrating two algorithms that systematically incorporate enzyme efficiency and thermodynamic feasibility constraints into genome-scale metabolic models.

Methods: A cohort of 434 patients with histopathologically confirmed GB (226 patients) and SBM (208 patients) was retrospectively analyzed. Radiomic features were derived from CE-T1WI, with feature selection conducted through minimum redundancy maximum relevance and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression.
According to the 2022 International Consensus Classification (ICC) guidelines, nine myelodysplasia-related (MDS-related) gene mutations are classified as adverse-risk markers in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) under intensive therapy (INT). Although venetoclax (VEN) has demonstrated clinical benefit in subsets of AML with MDS-related gene mutations (AML-MR), its efficacy across all nine mutations remains unclear. In this retrospective study involving 453 AML-MR patients, the overall composite complete remission (CRc) rate was 62.

Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) is a typical tumor marker for the recurrences of HCC, and can be utilized potentially during routine follow-up after HCC resection. Therefore, sensitive and accuracy detection of AFP is very critical at the early stage of hepatocellular carcinoma.

: SQUAMOSA promoter-binding protein (SBP) genes encode a group of plant-specific transcription factors that play crucial roles in plant growth, development, and stress responses. To date, genes have been reported in a number of plant species, but the SBP gene family has not been identified in , an important fast-growing species referred to as a 'miracle tree' and recognized for its potential medicinal value in Southeast Asia. : Bioinformatics approaches were employed to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the NcSBP gene family, including investigations into physicochemical characteristics, phylogenetic relationships, gene structure, chromosomal localization, conserved motifs, -acting elements, and expression patterns.

In recent decades, Arctic surface warming has reached its maximum (minimum) during the cold season (summer) because of increased seasonal ocean heat storage (SHS) release (formation). Reanalysis data suggest that increased land ice melt dominates summer Arctic surface warming. The absence of land ice melt decreases Arctic surface warming in Phase 6 Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP6) simulations.
