With the continuous advancement of cancer treatment technology, cardiotoxicity has gradually become a significant concern regarding the quality of life and long-term prognosis of cancer patients. This review systematically explores the mechanisms of cardiac metabolic reprogramming during cancer treatment, highlighting the impact of chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and other drugs on the metabolic balance of cardiac cells. The primary manifestation of this impact is the shift from efficient fatty acid oxidation to inefficient glycolysis dependence.

Photoinitiators (PIs), as an important component of UV inks, are widely used in the printing of paper food packaging. Nevertheless, there is limited information concerning the identification of PIs in food packaging and their potential migration rules under natural storage condition. In this study, 23 target PIs detected in paper food packaging were dominated by benzophenones (BZPs), followed by amine co-initiators (ACIs), thioxanthones (TXs) and phosphine oxides (POs).

Nevertheless, the underlying mechanisms of how micronutrients, such as metal ions, influence tumor-intrinsic properties and tumor-immune crosstalk remain inadequately characterized. Here, our integrative analysis of multi-center single-cell, spatial transcriptome sequencing, and bulk RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) cohorts reveals that nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC)-specific SRY-box transcription factor 4 (SOX4) governs microenvironmental and cellular zinc metabolism through its downstream target, SLC39A14 (ZIP14), a membrane zinc uptake transporter.

In this Letter, we propose and experimentally demonstrate a single-path interferometric technique for full-field reconstruction and OAM mode decomposition. Compared to the standard interferometric technique, our technique significantly improves measurement efficiency and accuracy.

Radiation simulation of the plume mainly includes the radiation simulation of its flow field and the transmission characteristics during its long-distance propagation. However, current research in this area often focuses on one of these two aspects and fails to integrate an analysis of both processes.

In this random environment, the orbital angular momentum (OAM)-based communication system will cause signal-mode degradation and mode crosstalk. As an unconventional source, asymmetric vortex beams have unique control dimensions and methods, and the coupling characteristics with a turbulent environment are rarely reported.

The relationship between inflammation and atrial fibrillation (AF) has recently attracted significant research interest. Epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) contributes to the pathogenesis of AF through its inflammatory, metabolic, and electrophysiological effects and may also influence AF outcomes. Inflammatory cells within EAT release key proinflammatory cytokines, including interleukin (IL)-1β and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), which promote cardiomyocyte apoptosis and fibrosis.

Understanding how depressive symptoms interrelate can enhance intervention strategies. While network analysis has advanced our comprehension of depressive symptom structure, few studies have explored dynamic interactions in older populations.

Identifying risk factors for ankle fracture-related infection (FRI) is beneficial in preventing complications and reducing the risk of treatment. The study aims to retrospectively analyze clinical risk factors for ankle FRI.

Existing Graph Attention Networks (GATs) generally adopt the self-attention mechanism to learn graph edge attention, which usually return dense attention coefficients over all neighbors and thus are prone to be sensitive to graph edge noises. To overcome this problem, sparse GATs are desirable and have garnered increasing interest in recent years. However, existing sparse GATs usually suffer from high training complexity and are also not straightforward for inductive learning tasks.

Methods: Twenty-five patients diagnosed with traumatic neuroma as complications of ankle arthroscopy were included. The standard procedure of microsurgical neuroma resection and nerve release was performed in all patients.
Higher expression of Complement C1q-like protein 4 (C1ql4) in breast cancer may be associated with increased tumor malignancy. As a protein involved in immune responses and inflammation, C1ql4 is expressed across all molecular subtypes of breast cancer. We conducted a retrospective analysis and follow-up study involving 111 patients who underwent breast cancer resection at the Department of Breast Surgery, Affiliated Hospital of Chengde Medical College, to investigate the relationship between C1ql4 expression and overall survival, as well as to evaluate the prognostic value of C1ql4 both independently and in combination with conventional clinicopathologic parameters.

With over 350,000 digital health apps available on the app stores today, those apps need to be of sufficient quality to be safe to use. Discovering the typology of digital health apps regarding professional and clinical assurance (PCA), user experience (UX), data privacy (DP), and user ratings may help in determining the areas where digital health apps can improve.

Plant microbiome plays a vital role in plant fitness and ecosystem functioning, yet its response to global environmental change remains poorly understood. Using an 18-year field experiment, we investigated the effects of climate warming and nitrogen deposition on the diversity of leaf epiphytic and endophytic bacterial communities in two dominant plant species (Stipa breviflora and Cleistogenes songorica) of a temperate desert steppe. We found that warming and nitrogen addition increased both epiphytic and endophytic bacterial diversity, but via different mechanisms.

While Chromosome Conformation Capture (3C)-based methods have provided static snapshots of chromatin architecture, the kinetics of chromosomal encounters in live cells remain poorly characterized. In this study, we employ Chemically Induced Chromosomal Interaction (CICI) to measure encounter times between multiple loci pairs in G1-arrested budding yeast.

Aims: To compare clinical outcomes in patients with talar Osteochondral lesions (OLTs) treated with medial malleolar osteotomy (MMO) or anterior malleolar osteotomy (AMO) combined with Osteochondral autologous transplantation (OAT).
Methods: From May 2014 to May 2020, 39 patients with Hepple V OLTs underwent MMO (n = 22) or AMO (n = 19). Functional outcomes were assessed using the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society ankle-hindfoot scale (AOFAS) and Visual Analog Scale (VAS) pain scores.
Extensive landfill leachate from human activities is one of the most intractable liquid waste due to the presence of stubborn leachate dissolved organic matter (LDOM) and various pollutants. However, critical driving forces regarding LDOM complexity are still unclear. This study explores relationships between LDOM chemical composition, microbial community, anthropogenic factors and climate conditions based on national-scale landfill leachates in China.

However, the inherent instability of dearomatized intermediates, particularly bearing labile C(sp)-heteroatom bonds, has hindered progress due to competing rearomatization pathways. By capitalizing on arene dearomatization and transforming the rearomatization predicament into a new opportunity, we herein present a stability-driven catalytic asymmetric dearomatization/rearomatization (CADA/RA) cooperative strategy to resolve racemic -stereogenic compounds.

The pathogenesis of BPD involves a combination of genetic susceptibility and environmental insults, such as oxidative stress and mechanical ventilation. Herein, aminoethyl anisamide-modified nano-biomimetic low-density lipoprotein (A-aLDL) is used to target deliver the PTT agent and artesunate (ARS) to both CAFs and cancer cells. Though CAFs are sensitive to PTT and notably transition to heat-resistant phenotype, the formed protective barrier is destroyed by ARS.

RLCKs receive signals from pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) to activate pattern-triggered immunity (PTI), including reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, Ca influx, mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascades, cellulose synthesis, phosphatidic acid (PA) production, hormone synthesis and signaling, and transcriptional remodeling. Besides, RLCK also participate in effector-triggered immunity (ETI) and the interplay between ETI and PTI.
