This article presents a case of a 15-year-old male with a 6-year history of aplastic anemia treated with long-term oral stanozolol to promote hematopoiesis. Throughout this period, he underwent regular outpatient follow-up assessments of blood and liver function parameters. While abnormal liver function was recorded on several occasions and treated with oral hepatoprotective drugs, no abdominal imaging test was conducted.

The fast crystallization and facile oxidation of Sn of tin-lead (Sn-Pb) perovskites are the biggest challenges for their applications in high-performance near-infrared (NIR) photodetectors and imagers. Here, we introduce a multifunctional diphenyl sulfoxide (DPSO) molecule into perovskite precursor ink to response these issues by revealing its strong binding interactions with the precursor species. The regulated perovskite film exhibits a dense morphology, reduced defect density and prolonged carrier diffusion length.

VEXAS (Vacuoles, E1 enzyme, X-linked, Autoinflammatory, Somatic) syndrome is a haemato-rheumatoid disease caused by somatic UBA1 mutations in hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). The pathogenic cell type(s) responsible for the syndrome are unknown and murine models recapitulating the disease are lacking. We report that loss of Uba1 in various mouse hematopoietic cell types resulted in pleiotropic consequences and demonstrate that murine mutants with about 70% loss of Uba1 in neutrophils induced non-lethal VEXAS-like symptoms.

Dendrobium officinale(DO) is a traditional Chinese medicinal and edible plant, while it is critically endangered worldwide. This article, primarily based on the original research findings of the author's team and available articles, provides a comprehensive overview of the factors contributing to the endangerment of DO and the key technologies for the conservation, efficient cultivation, and value-added utilization of this plant. The scarcity of wild populations, low seed-setting rates, lack of endosperm in seeds, and the need for symbiosis with endophytic fungi for seed germination under natural conditions are identified as the primary causes for the rarity and endangerment of DO.

Ovarian cancer (OC) is a highly lethal gynecologic malignancy that lacks reliable early biomarkers. Numerous long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been found to play critical regulatory roles in OC, yet the mechanisms underlying most of them remain unclear. Recently, lncRNAs have emerged as key regulators of RNA splicing, while splicing dysregulation is widespread and plays critical roles in cancer.

Background: A large number of studies have previously established a causal association between stroke and dementia, and have demonstrated a strong correlation between ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke and all-cause dementia, respectively. Given the overall increasing prevalence of all-cause dementia worldwide and the absence of data from randomized clinical trials confirming the existence of effective dementia interventions. The aim of this paper is to apply the GBD database to estimate the proportion and trends of dementia following ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes globally and within regions, and to discuss potential risk factors for vascular dementia using Mendelian randomization (MR).

Background: Despite achieving complete revascularization, patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) may experience adverse outcomes, potentially attributable to coronary microvascular dysfunction (CMD). Coronary flow reserve (CFR), which integrates both epicardial and microvascular coronary function, and a reduced CFR following complete revascularization indicates the presence of CMD.

Aims: This study aimed to measure CFR in patients who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for complete revascularization using myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) and analyzed the prevalence of CMD and its correlation factors.

Artificial photosynthesis presents a highly promising approach for addressing global energy and environmental challenges. However, its efficiency remains constrained by rapid charge recombination and inefficient CO activation. To overcome these limitations, cobalt-nickel layered double hydroxide (CN-LDH) is decorated onto BiOBr nanosheets to enhance Lewis alkaline sites and facilitate charge separation.

Tree xylem formation is highly dependent on non-structural carbohydrates content and microenvironments. However, it is still less understood that the key variables regulating cambial activity and xylem formation under different environmental conditions, nor the specific contribution of each variable to the number of cells in different stages of xylogenesis. Here, we monitored the xylogenesis and xylem non-structural carbohydrates dynamics of Picea crassifolia during the growing seasons of 2021 and 2022 along an altitude gradient in the Qilian Mountains.

Young migrants, particularly those at high altitudes, are predisposed to heart health abnormalities, including high-altitude heart disease. Despite the profound impact of hypobaric hypoxia on the gut microbial community, the understanding of the roles played by gut microbiota and gut microbiota-associated serum metabolites in high-altitude heart diseases remains limited. Therefore, we conducted a comprehensive multi-omics analysis involving 230 graduates from the same university, with 163 Tibetan Plateau migrants and 67 Chengdu Plain residents, and identified 206 differential metabolites (82 in serum and 124 in feces) and 369 species that differed between migrants and residents.

Skeletal diseases pose a significant threat to both physical and mental health, emerging as a critical global issue. A thorough understanding of bone physiology and the development of effective clinical interventions necessitate robust research methodologies. Recently, organoids have gained widespread attention as three-dimensionalmodels capable of recapitulating complexenvironments, addressing key limitations of traditional two-dimensional cell cultures and animal models.

Introduction: Emerging evidence implicates gut microbiota (GM), shaped by diet, in Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathogenesis. However, the association between the dietary index for GM (DI-GM) and AD remains unclear.

Methods: This cross-sectional study analyzed data from 28,830 adults aged ≥20 years in the 2004-2018 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).

Scaling up methanol yields by artificial photosynthesis at a modest cost remains thermodynamically challenge. Designing concerted reaction sites to control intermediate evolution and stimulate proton-coupled electron transfer (PCET) is necessary. Here we show a nickel-titanium-based catalyst that achieves near-millimolar hourly methanol yields with 99.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Our previous work verified that decadienyl-L-carnitine (C10:2) biosynthesis has therapeutic-target capacity for RCE inhibiting pulmonary vascular remodeling to modulate experimental pulmonary hypertension(PH). However, the profound molecular mechanism remains incompletely elucidated.

Aim Of Study: This study aims to investigate whether C10:2 biosynthesis regulates pulmonary vascular remodeling by activating cell pyroptosis.

An electrochemical sensor demonstrating exceptional sensitivity was constructed for bisphenol F analysis. Carbon nanocages and Prussian blue nanocubes were synthesized and then applied to modify a glassy carbon electrode layer by layer, creating the unique sensing platform. The combination of carbon nanocages and Prussian blue nanocubes greatly improved the charge transfer rate and offered a substantial surface area for bisphenol F adsorption.

The creation of dynamically tunable hierarchical architectures in photonic materials represents a crucial frontier in nanoscale science, yet deterministic multi-scale structural control under non-equilibrium conditions persists as an unresolved core limitation despite advances in field-guided assembly technologies. This study demonstrates a magnetic morphogenesis platform combining field-driven droplet deformation and non-equilibrium colloidal assembly to resolve multi-scale structural control. Systematic phase mapping (100-1500 G, 0.

Background: Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune disease predominantly driven by autoantibodies targeting acetylcholine receptor (AChR), resulting in muscle weakness. Efgartigimod, a neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) blocker, reduces pathogenic immunoglobulin G in anti-AChR antibody-positive generalised MG (gMG). This study aimed to identify immune mechanisms underlying MG pathology and response to efgartigimod.
