Young migrants, particularly those at high altitudes, are predisposed to heart health abnormalities, including high-altitude heart disease. Despite the profound impact of hypobaric hypoxia on the gut microbial community, the understanding of the roles played by gut microbiota and gut microbiota-associated serum metabolites in high-altitude heart diseases remains limited. Therefore, we conducted a comprehensive multi-omics analysis involving 230 graduates from the same university, with 163 Tibetan Plateau migrants and 67 Chengdu Plain residents, and identified 206 differential metabolites (82 in serum and 124 in feces) and 369 species that differed between migrants and residents.

Extreme heatwaves and droughts are coinciding more frequently worldwide, exerting far reaching and adverse effects on ecosystems and economic development. Nevertheless, our knowledge of compound heatwave drought events (CHDEs) and their negative impacts on inland waters remains relatively scarce. Our findings indicate that the average annual duration of heatwaves varies: 3-107 days in river segments, 4-69 days in directly connected lakes, and 2-71 days in controlled lakes in the Yangtze River Basin (YRB), China's largest basin from 1980 to 2022.

Methods: A total of 200 cervical cancer patients who treated by Infinity (109 cases) and Synergy (91 cases) linear accelerators underwent volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) from 2019 to 2022 were enrolled and used as technical testing (TT) and technical validation (TV) datasets, respectively, which was then randomly divided into training, validation and testing set at a ratio of 7:1:2. PSQA dose distributions were predicted using U-shape-like network with skip-connection modules (called T-Net) with the input of CT and plan dose distributions.

Myocardial injury is a common disease in the plateau, especially in the lowlanders who have migrated to the plateau, in which the pathogenesis is not well understood. Here, we established a cohort of lowlanders comprising individuals from both low-altitude and high-altitude areas and conducted plasma proteome profiling. Proteomic data showed that there was a significant shift in energy metabolism and inflammatory response in individuals with myocardial abnormalities at high altitude.

Numerous rivers and lakes in the monsoon climate zone are heavily influenced by frequent rainstorms that mobilize dissolved organic matter (DOM) from pristine or urbanized environments into downstream lakes. Of particular concern is the mobilization of DOM from anthropogenic effluents, which are commonly enriched in aliphatic compounds that can be easily degraded by microorganisms. Rapid degradation of highly biodegradable DOM, in turn, may cause significant depletion of dissolved oxygen in the water, which, by creating anoxic conditions at the bottom water-sediment interface, promotes microbial production of CO and CH.

Well-established connections exist between increased gait variability and greater fall likelihood in human movement. Introduction: Parkinson's disease (PD) is characterized by muscle stiffness, bradykinesia, and balance disorders, significantly impairing the quality of life for affected patients. While motion pose estimation and gait analysis can aid in early diagnosis and timely intervention, clinical practice currently lacks objective and accurate tools for gait analysis.
Methods: This study proposes a multi-level 3D pose estimation framework for PD patients, integrating monocular video with Transformer and Graph Convolutional Network (GCN) techniques.
