Single-atom catalysts (SACs) exhibit outstanding catalytic activity, yet their application in real complex environments is constrained by the single active sites and instabilities that are susceptible to inactivation. Extensive efforts have been made to regulate the metal coordination environment, but the catalytic role of nonmetal dopants, especially beyond the first shell, remains underexplored. Herein, S-engineered second-shell Fe single-atom catalysts (FeNSC) are reported, in which S sites not only function as additional nonmetallic active sites separated from Fe but also reinforce the stability of the catalysts.

We included 94 treatment-naïve AITL patients diagnosed by histopathology. Based on the axial CT images of the third lumbar vertebra, the areas of skeletal muscle (SM), visceral adipose tissue (VAT), and subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT) were semi-automatically delineated and standardized to finally obtain SM index (SMI), VAT index (VATI), and SAT index (SATI).

An additive-free trifluoromethylation-heteroarylation of enamides with trifluoromethyl heteroaryl sulfones via EDA photochemistry is reported. Under visible-light irradiation, diverse enamides and sulfones undergo efficient difunctionalization to afford CF-heteroaryl amides in moderate to excellent yields, without the need for photocatalysts or additives. Mechanistic studies support the formation of a photoexcited EDA complex that triggers C-S bond cleavage, generating CF and heteroaryl anions.

Variants in the SWItch/Sucrose non-fermentable (SWI/SNF) complex genes are significant contributors to NDDs. ARID2, ARID1B, and SMARCC2 are important subunits of the SWI/SNF complex, and their variants can also result in Coffin-Siris syndrome (CSS), a type of NDDs characterized by CNS disorders, global developmental delay, visual/hearing impairment, distinct facial features, and congenital heart disease (CHD).

Results: This work establishes an accurate and personalized three-dimensional dose calculation method based on Monte Carlo simulation and multi-modal images of PCa patients with skull metastasis, and analyzes the three-dimensional dose distribution of metastatic lesions and OARs in the brain. Results show that due to the targeting characteristics of Lu-PSMA-617, metastatic brain lesions of all patients can receive high radiation doses with the average dose of 0.
Sulfur dioxide (SO) has long been recognized as a hazardous environmental pollutant, and excessive intake of SO and its derivatives (HSO/SO) may be harmful to human health. A fluorescent probe capable of quantitative sulfite detection (0.755 μM - 500 μM), named RPB-R, was developed to exhibit chromogenic and red fluorescence turn-on responses.

The uranyl ion (UO) poses notable risks to the ecological environment and human health owing to its intense radioactivity and high chemical toxicity. Consequently, we need to develop an effective straightforward method for detecting UO. This study presents an innovative ratiometric fluorescent probe, referred to as Nap-HBT, conveniently fabricated through the amalgamation of 4-hydroxynaphthalimide (Nap) and 2-(2-hydroxyphenyl) benzothiazole (HBT).

Emerging evidence highlights the critical involvement of the immune microenvironment and dysregulated inflammatory responses throughout IS progression. Consequently, therapeutic strategies targeting specific immune-related markers or signaling pathways within this microenvironment hold significant promise for IS management.

The modification of chitosan has garnered significant attention as a promising approach for detecting and removing heavy metal contaminants. Herein, we presented a novel dual-functional fluorescent nanoprobe Nano-NAP for the effective detection and absorption of Hg, which could be conveniently fabricated by self-assembling a small-molecule Hg fluorescent probe into a carrier of chitosan-based fluorophore (CS-MeO).

The prepared chiral stationary phase was characterized using techniques such as scanning electron microscopy, infrared spectroscopy, and thermogravimetric analysis. The results confirmed the successful preparation of the amylose and homochiral secondary amine molecular cages co-modified silica gel chiral stationary phase.

Quartz flexible accelerometers (QFAs) are a type of temperature-sensitive sensor, whereby a change in temperature will cause the key parameters of the accelerometer to drift and cause stability errors. Due to the absence of effective methods for sensing the temperature of internal accelerometer components, existing temperature error correction approaches primarily rely on shell temperature measurements to establish correction models. Consequently, most correction methods achieve higher accuracy during the steady-state heat conduction phase of the accelerometer, whereas the correction error markedly increases during the transient heat conduction phase.

Flexible wearable potentiometric ion sensors for continuous monitoring of electrolyte cations have made significant advances in bioanalysis for personal healthcare and diagnostics. However, less attention is paid to the most abundant extracellular anion, chloride ion (Cl) as a mark of electrolyte imbalance and an important diagnostic indicator of cystic fibrosis, which has important significance for accurate monitoring in complex biological fluids. An all-solid-state Cl-selective electrode is constructed utilizing oxygen vacancies reinforced vanadium oxide with a nitrogen-doped carbon shield as the solid contact (VO@NC/Cl-ISE).
