Point-of-care (POC) detection of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) is critical for the early screening and monitoring of prostate cancer (PCa), which facilitates timely intervention and personalized treatment. However, existing POC platforms suffer from inadequate detection sensitivities, susceptibility to matrix interference, and complex sample pretreatment. To address these issues, we proposed a naked-eye and colorimetric sensing platform based on magnetic nanozyme (FeO@ZIF-67@Pt) integrated with a tetrahedral DNA framework (TDF) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP)-triggered hydrolysis reaction for PSA detection with superior sensing performances.

High-entropy oxides represent a paradigm shift in sodium-ion battery cathodes by utilizing entropy-driven structural stabilization to address the intrinsic challenges of lattice strain and sluggish ion kinetics. However, conventional high-entropy oxides face challenges in synthesis complexity and insufficient mechanistic insights into strain-kinetics coupling. Here, a high-entropy O3-type layered oxide, NaNiCoFeMnZnCuTiO (NNCFMZCT), is proposed featuring seven transition metals in a single crystallographic site, to synergistically optimize Na⁺ diffusion and structural resilience.

Start loss variants occur at the start codon that can disrupt the normal translation initiation process, potentially resulting in the production of abnormal protein isoforms. Although numerous computational methods have been developed to aid in the large-scale interpretation of genetic variants, they often show limited predictive accuracy for start-loss variants. A significant limitation of the majority of these methods is their dependence on manually curated features, which restricts their ability to predict variants that have not been studied and characterized.

Aphid infestation significantly reduces the yield and forage quality of sorghum, underscoring the urgent need to identify and develop aphid-resistant sorghum varieties. Marker-assisted selection (MAS) remains one of the most effective strategies for enhancing aphid resistance in sorghum. In this study, an F segregating population derived from a cross between the aphid-resistant variety IS23514 and the susceptible variety IS23992 was employed to map aphid resistance genes using bulked segregant analysis based on whole-genome resequencing (BSA-seq) and Insertion-Deletion (InDel) marker analysis.

The hybrid-order monolithic imaging diffractive (HMID) lens was designed to address the issue of negative dispersion of diffractive optical elements (DOEs) in infrared minimalist optical systems. However, the imaging quality is negatively impacted by processing errors and aberrations of the HMID when it is expanded for large aperture use. The initial goal of minimalist imaging is contradicted by traditional optical techniques like adding additional lenses to eliminate aberrations, so we proposed a joint optical-algorithmic processing method in this paper to address the above issues.

This paper proposes a nano-g level monolithically integrated tri-axial passive photonic accelerometer chip using uniform silicon-based micromachining with a low-frequency band. The silicon sensing units are designed with compact gradient-type and asymmetric S-type spring beams, allowing superior sensitivity in low-frequency band and tri-axial consistency. The spring-mass structures behave with uniform 460 μm thickness, significantly simplifying the silicon micromachining and improving process yield.

In this study, we generated and integrated plasma proteomics and metabolomics with the genotype datasets of over 2300 European (EUR) and 400 African (AFR) ancestries to identify ancestry-specific multi-omics quantitative trait loci (QTLs). In total, we mapped 954 AFR pQTLs, 2848 EUR pQTLs, 65 AFR mQTLs, and 490 EUR mQTLs. We further applied these QTLs to ancestry-stratified type-2 diabetes (T2D) risk to pinpoint key proteins and metabolites underlying the disease-associated genetic loci.
