Background: Golf is a sophisticated sport that integrates precision, skillfulness, and strategic thinking, with swing techniques of different clubs exhibiting distinct biomechanical characteristics. This study aims to investigate the biomechanical characteristics of golfers' full swings with different clubs from kinematic and dynamics perspectives, thereby providing insights for optimizing full swing techniques.

Methods: Ten low-handicap right-handed college male golfers were recruited, and their full swing parameters with the driver, 5-iron, and 7-iron (each club was successfully collected 10 times) were synchronously collected using a 250 Hz infrared motion capture system and a 1000 Hz three-dimensional force platform.

Introduction: The effect of muscle glycogen stores on performance during intense short-duration exercises in humans is unclear. We hypothesized that low initial muscle glycogen levels would impair constant-load intense one-legged knee extensor exercise lasting approximately 5 min and human muscle contractile function, as determined by maximal voluntary contraction (MVC), electrically induced single-twitch maximal force, rate of force development (RFD), and rate of relaxation. Furthermore, alter phosphorylation of the Na/K-ATPase (NKA) regulatory proteins AMPK and FXYD1 indicating attenuated NKA activity.

In the context of China's growing emphasis on digital finance and sustainable investing, this study investigates the factors influencing investors' behavioral intentions to adopt FinTech solutions, specifically robo-advisors, for green investments. Drawing on responses from 393 investors and employing PLS-SEM analysis through SmartPLS-4, we examine the effects of robo-advisor usage, awareness of ESG factors, and personalization of ESG portfolios on perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and behavioral intention, with perceived trust as a moderator. The results reveal that robo-advisor usage and awareness of ESG factors significantly influence perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, though not intention directly.

Background: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disease requiring long-term therapy, where adherence critically impacts outcomes. Non-adherence remains a significant barrier to disease control, particularly in China, where healthcare disparities persist.

Objectives: This scoping review aimed to systematically map the existing evidence on the frequency, barriers and facilitators of treatment adherence among Chinese patients with SLE and to identify gaps to guide future research and interventions.

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) from probiotics containing multiple bioactive ingredients play important roles in intercellular communication, immunomodulation, and tumor suppression, therefore possessing enormous potential for improving health, targeted drug delivery, and vaccine development. However, the difficulty in extraction and low yield limits the widespread application of EVs. Here, response surface methodology was employed to optimize the extraction conditions of Lacticaseibacillus paracasei LH23 EVs (LP-Evs).

Accurate molecular property prediction is fundamental to modern drug discovery and materials design. However, prevailing computational methods are often insufficient, as they rely on single-granularity structural representations that fail to capture the hierarchical complexity of molecular systems. To address this challenge, we propose a new approach to molecular representation learning that incorporates structural information across multiple scales.

Introduction: The decisive movements that determine judo performance rely on anaerobic power. Currently, the optimum training protocol for increasing the anaerobic endurance of heavyweight judo athletes remains elusive due to tricky balance between training loads increase and injury prevention. This study investigated the impact of sprint interval climbing incorporated into the regular training on the anaerobic training load of heavyweight judo athletes.

The seeds of are rich in polyphenols, yet their chemical characteristics and biological activities require systematic elucidation. In this study, seed polyphenols (TGSP) were prepared using ultrasound-assisted extraction (70% ethanol, solid-to-liquid ratio of 1:40 g/mL, 210 W power, 55°C, 50 min) coupled with AB-8 macroporous resin purification. The resulting TGSP were characterized by ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).

ECoG signals are widely used in Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) due to their high spatial resolution and superior signal quality, particularly in the field of neural control. ECoG enables more accurate decoding of brain activity compared to traditional EEG. By obtaining cortical ECoG signals directly from the cerebral cortex, complex motor commands, such as finger movement trajectories, can be decoded more efficiently.

Defining Keypoints to Align H&E Images and Xenium DAPI-Stained Images Automatically.

Cells

June 2025

Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Christopher S. Bond Life Sciences Center, University of Missouri, Columbia, MO 65211, USA.

10X Xenium is an in situ spatial transcriptomics platform that enables single-cell and subcellular-level gene expression analysis. In Xenium data analysis, defining matched keypoints to align H&E and spatial transcriptomic images is critical for cross-referencing sequencing and histology. Currently, it is labor-intensive for domain experts to manually place keypoints to perform image registration in the Xenium Explorer software.

School of Life Sciences, Zhuhai College of Science and Technology, Zhuhai, Guangdong, China; School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine, Macau University of Science and Technology, Macao. Electronic address:

Ferroptosis is a type of iron-dependent programmed cell death distinguished by increased oxidative stress and the pathological accumulation of lipid peroxides within the cell membrane. Emerging evidence suggests a strong link between ferroptosis and both the occurrence and progression of acute kidney injury (AKI). However, many outstanding issues remain to be solved in the development of drugs that target ferroptosis.

To investigate the immunomodulatory activity of polysaccharides derived from the rhizome of , polysaccharides (IRPs-H) were extracted using hot water extraction and further purified via DEAE-52 ion-exchange chromatography, yielding three fractions: IRPs-H1, IRPs-H2, and IRPs-H3. The structural features of these fractions were characterized by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), high-performance gel permeation chromatography (HPGPC), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Their immunological activities were evaluated in vitro.
