In the complex process of gene expression and regulation, RNA-binding proteins occupy a pivotal position for RNA. Accurate prediction of RNA-protein binding sites can help researchers better understand RNA-binding proteins and their related mechanisms. And prediction techniques based on machine learning algorithms are both cost-effective and efficient in identifying these binding sites.

A highly sensitive, selective, and simple method for detecting uranyl ions (UO) is crucial for human health and environmental safety. Amidoxime-based nanomaterials have been widely employed for UO detection, but their higher affinity for vanadium than UO limits their practical applications. Herein, a novel covalent organic polymer fluorescent probe (TT-COP) for UO detection was innovatively developed by a one-step Schiff-base condensation reaction between 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) and 2,4,6-triformylphloroglucinol (Tp).

This article employs a finite element model integrated with the Hybrid III dummy to investigate how automatic braking and active muscle forces influence lower-limb injuries in frontal collisions. Prolonged braking can increase the tibial index, indicating more severe injury to the lower leg. Braking mitigated thigh injury at 50 km/h but exacerbated it at 40 km/h.

The underlying mechanisms in atherosclerotic vascular diseases are not entirely clear, posing a challenging hurdle to treatment. Inflammation is a root cause of atherosclerosis (AS); therefore, anti-inflammatory agents have potential for its management. Sweroside, possessing anti-inflammatory properties, emerges as a potential agent to impede AS progression.

Chelating agent contributes to the remediation of heavy metal contaminations, but it remains unclear how they affect the transformation of radioactive pollutants and microbial traits in phytoremediation. We comprehensively investigated on the uranium (U) speciation and microbial communities in the rhizosphere of Macleaya cordata, Paspalum scrobiculatum and Bamboo willow, and analyzed the accumulation of U in the three plants after the addition of chelating agents including 0.1 mmol kg siderophore (DFO) and 2.

The direct introduction of a bromine atom into organic molecules is valuable because of its versatility in synthetic intermediates and modular building blocks but traditionally suffers from poor selectivity and relatively complicated and/or harsh reaction conditions. We herein present the first visible-light-driven organic-dye-catalyzed bromination protocol under mild conditions with high regioselectivity. This methodology leverages rapid intramolecular radical trapping to achieve regioselective monobromination of alkenes, thus effectively suppressing competing dibromination and electrophilic bromination pathways.

Chemotherapy is often hindered by systemic toxicity and poor selectivity. To address these issues, we develop an enzyme-responsive metallopeptide hydrogel (HY-Pd) that integrates enzyme-instructed self-assembly (EISA) and bioorthogonal catalysis for selective tumor-targeted prodrug activation. Upon exposure to alkaline phosphatase (ALP), which is overexpressed in osteosarcoma cells (Saos-2), HY-Pd selectively accumulates and self-assembles into catalytic nanofibers.

Hyperosmolality-triggered physiological drought hinders plant growth and development, leading to a drop in crop yields. Hyperosmolality triggers calcium signaling, and yet how osmotic-induced calcium signaling participates in cellular osmotic response remains enigmatic. To date, several Ca channels and transporters have been identified to regulate osmotic-induced calcium signal generation (CaSG) or Ca homeostasis.

Objective: Previous studies have shown that insomnia is closely related to erectile dysfunction(ED). However, the causal relationship between them is still unclear. Mendelian randomization (MR) provides a new method for studying the relationship between the two, and the theory of heart-kidney interaction in TCM provides a new idea for exploring the causal relationship between them.

Single-atom Ni catalysts hold great promise for the acidic CO reduction reaction (CORR), owing to their high CO selectivity. However, their performance under industrially relevant high current conditions is limited by the weak interaction between isolated Ni-N sites and *COOH intermediates, restricting efficient CO conversion. Here, we introduced edge-rich Ni-N sites via support vacancy engineering to enhance *COOH adsorption, thereby boosting the CORR activity and selectivity in acidic media.

The O3-type NaNiFeMnO material is modified by introducing Sr into the Na sites and Al into the transition metal (TM) sites. The inactive Sr and Al serve as structural pillars within the NaO and TMO slabs, respectively, expanding the interlayer spacing and boosting the stability of the structure. The optimized cathode demonstrates a good rate performance of 117.

Polyphenol-derived vitrimers offer compelling prospects for sustainable materials owing to their intrinsic recyclability, reprocessability and biodegradability. However, practical development remains constrained by structure degradation under harsh reprocessing conditions and the need for sophisticated modifications of the bio-sourced precursors. Herein, we reported a strategy that integrates commercially available polyphenols and low-molecular-weight PDMS through adaptable iminoboronate chemistry, obviating the need for structural modifications.

Amorphous materials with thickness thinned down to the single-layer limit have attracted increasing interest due to their well-defined disorder and emerging unique properties, such as disorder-dominated electronic states, high-density unsaturated coordination, enhanced quantum confinement, These features could enable innovative applications in electronics, photoelectronics, catalysis, and beyond. In this perspective, we provide an overview of recent advances in two-dimensional (2D) amorphous materials approaching the single-layer limit. We first introduce newly-developed key structural descriptors for these systems, including local bonding, topological disorder, and chemical composition.

Aims: Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease caused by the destruction of insulin-producing pancreatic β-cells. While T cells are well-known critical, growing evidence shows that B cells also play a key role in T1D development. T cell immunoreceptor with immunoglobulin and ITIM domain (TIGIT), as an inhibitory immune checkpoint, is important in maintaining immune homeostasis and has become a therapeutic target for several autoimmune diseases.

Controlling the electrode-electrolyte interfacial behavior is crucial for achieving a high-quality solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) and ensuring sustainable battery performance. Here, we propose a selective catalysis strategy to stabilize antimony atom-cluster (Sb) anode/electrolyte interface for robust potassium-ion batteries (PIBs). Specifically, the electrode featuring Sb in porous carbon (Sb/PC) as "electrocatalyst" unduly catalyzes the reduction of the dimethyl ether-based electrolyte, resulting in loose SEI layer and rapid capacity decay.

The water-gas shift reaction (WGSR) is crucial to the hydrogen economy, which is hampered by the harsh conditions and complicated purification process. In this work, the spatially separated efficient CO conversion and high-purity H production are realized by electrochemistry-accelerated water-gas shift reaction (WGSR) with IrN-RhN dual sites single atom catalysts (IrRh-NC) in high-temperature polymer-electrolyte-membrane electrolyzer. In this reaction, the Ir single atoms in the catalysts can rapidly dissociate HO at an extremely low potential to supply abundant *OH, which ensures the *OH groups bind to the spontaneously adsorbed *CO on neighboring Rh sites to further accelerate CO conversion.
