Tungstate-based catalysts for olefin metathesis generally suffer from insufficient reaction rates, which require relatively high temperatures for the satisfied activities. This issue is mainly due to the shortage of active WO species related to intrinsic low adsorption and poor activation of olefin molecules. Herein, we found that the silanol nests in dealuminated Beta zeolite (DeAl-Beta) were favorable for high dispersion of tungsten species, forming active WO species on the zeolite, which was helpful for the adsorption and activation of olefin molecules, thus facilitating the generation of metallocycle intermediates.

However, concurrent manifestations of these two conditions within a short period of time after infection are exceedingly rare, and the underlying mechanisms and clinical management strategies remain unclear.
Case Presentation: A 45-year-old Chinese man developed sudden polydipsia, polyuria, and cervical pain on day 7, within 2 weeks of SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Purpose: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDA) remains one of the most lethal malignancies with limited early diagnostic and therapeutic options. Although receptor for activated C kinase 1 (RACK1) is an evolutionarily conserved scaffold protein, its functional role and mechanistic involvement in PDA pathogenesis remain elusive.
Methods: Using multimodal approaches including: (1) genetically engineered mouse models of pancreatitis and carcinogenesis, (2) patient-derived PDA tissues with matched normal specimens, (3) primary acinar cell 3D cultures, and (4) orthogonal gain/loss-of-function assays in PDA cell lines, we systematically investigated RACK1's spatiotemporal expression patterns and functional impacts.

Accurate quantification of cancer-related miRNA in exosomes offers a promising approach for early and effective cancer diagnosis. However, reliably detecting extremely low-abundance exosomal miRNAs in complex bodily fluids remains a significant challenge. Herein, a CRISPR/Cas13a triggered-DNA walker amplified SERS sensor has been proposed for detection of cancer cell-derived exosomal miRNA-106a.

This maternally inherited trait is valuable for hybrid breeding. This study employed integrated analysis of miRNA, transcriptome, and degradome sequencing data aligned to the Chinese cabbage reference genome to elucidate the molecular function of bra-miR9569 in Ogura CMS pollen fertility and explore its associated pathways.

To elucidate the response patterns and adaptation mechanisms of winter wheat leaves to low-temperature and weak-light environments, we simultaneously measured prompt chlorophyll a fluorescence, delayed chlorophyll a fluorescence, and modulated 820 nm light reflection; moreover, we analyzed the effects of low temperature and weak light treatment for different duration (2 h and 4 h) on the donor-side activity of photosystem II (PSII), the degree of PSII unit dissociation, the efficiency of light energy absorption and capture by PSII, electron transfer to Q and PSI terminal, PSI activity and cyclic electron transport activity in isolated wheat leaves under controlled conditions. The results, which were corroborated using the three methods, revealed that in low-temperature and weak-light environments, the degree of PSII unit dissociation, and the efficiency of light energy absorption, capture, and electron transfer to Q decreased, while the donor-side activity remained unaffected.

This study investigated the flavor and metabolite profiles of hawk black tea (HBT) processed from leaves of different colors. Sensory evaluation revealed that purple-leaf HBT (PHBT) exhibited prominent floral-fruity notes, green-leaf HBT (GHBT) showed fresh camphoraceous characteristics, while mixed-leaf HBT (MHBT) demonstrated optimal flavor with the highest overall acceptability.

To mitigate the astringency of early tea, this study identified the astringent compounds present in the tea, subsequently optimized its fixation process based on the key astringent substances. Initially, 20 early tea samples were categorized into three groups (low, middle, and high astringency) according to the differences in astringency.

Rhizomatous plants reproduce asexually through transplantation of rhizome segments bearing buds, which develop into new individuals. However, the regulatory mechanism governing rhizome bud differentiation and development is still unknown.

A double-antibody sandwich method was employed to establish the YKL-40 TRFIA, which utilizes two antibodies targeting distinct epitopes on the YKL-40 antigen (a coating antibody and a labeled antibody). The assay's linearity, sensitivity, accuracy, specificity, and recovery rate were evaluated.

Introduction: Cisplatin, a platinum-based antineoplastic agent belonging to the alkylating class, is one of the most widely used chemotherapeutic agents in the treatment of solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. Cisplatin works by forming covalent bonds in DNA, resulting in cell cycle arrest, inadequate repair, and ultimately, apoptotic or non-apoptotic cell death. Despite its efficacy, cisplatin is known to be highly toxic, showing nephrological, Gastrointestinal (GI), and hepatotoxicity, but there is limited data on its association with adverse vascular events.

However, generating entangled photon pairs with large detuning via spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC) often requires complex configurations to compensate for phase matching. Here, we propose a simple and efficient scheme to generate polarization-entangled photon pairs based on type-0 SPDC in a thin-film lithium niobate waveguide with a single poling period.
