The distributed energy storage device units (ESUs) in a DC energy storage power station (ESS) suffer the problems of overcharged and undercharged with uncertain initial state of charge (SOC), which may reduce the service period of ESUs. To address this problem, a distributed secondary control based on diffusion strategy is proposed. In the first layer, each ESUs operates with its local controller by droop control.

The Snow Goose Algorithm (SGA) is a new meta-heuristic algorithm proposed in 2024, which has been proved to have good optimization effect, but there are still problems that are easy to fall into local optimal and premature convergence. In order to further improve the optimization performance of the algorithm, this paper proposes an improved Snow Goose algorithm (ISGA) based on three strategies according to the real migration habits of snow geese: (1) Lead goose rotation mechanism. (2) Honk-guiding mechanism.

(1) Background: At present, the bio-inspired visual neural models have made significant achievements in detecting the motion direction of the translating object. Variable contrast in the figure-ground and environmental noise interference, however, have a strong influence on the existing model. The responses of the lobula plate tangential cell (LPTC) neurons of Drosophila are robust and stable in the face of variable contrast in the figure-ground and environmental noise interference, which provides an excellent paradigm for addressing these challenges.

Learning engagement is a crucial factor affecting the quality of learning and holds significant value in promoting student development and enhancing teaching quality. By using time-lagged data from four schools and considering intentional self-regulation, this study integrates three types of relationships (parent-child, teacher-student, and peer relationships) into the same research framework to examine their impacts on learning engagement and the underlying mechanisms among high school students. The findings reveal that parent-child, teacher-student, and peer relationships all significantly positively affect high school students' learning engagement.

Cocombustion with biomass tar is a potential method for NO reduction during fossil fuel combustion. In this work, the molecular dynamic method based on the reactive force field was used to study the NO reduction by phenol, which is a typical tar model compound. Results indicate that phenol undergoes significant decomposition at 3000 K, resulting in the formation of small molecular fragments accompanied by the generation of large molecular, network-structured soot particles.

Hydrological prediction in ungauged basins often relies on the parameter transplant method, which incurs high labor costs due to its dependence on expert input. To address these issues, we propose a novel hydrological prediction model named STH-Trans, which leverages multiple spatiotemporal views to enhance its predictive capabilities. Firstly, we utilize existing geographic and topographic indicators to identify and select watersheds that exhibit similarities.

In this study, CO reacted with a curing agent through nucleophilic addition to form ammonium salts, enabling the stable capture and internal release of CO, which achieved gas-phase nucleation and foaming. Additionally, the introduction of wave-absorbing agents improved the absorption mechanism and promoted uniform foaming. This nucleation-free foaming process relies on the induced growth of gas nuclei and the synergistic effect of the wave-absorbing agents, effectively preventing the uneven foaming issues caused by traditional nucleating agents.

Passive radiative cooling (PRC) is an emerging sustainable technology that plays a key role for achieving the goal of carbon neutrality. However, several challenges remain for PRC materials in their practical application in building thermal management, including overcooling problems and unsatisfactory cooling efficiency caused by solar absorption and parasitic heat gains. In this work, fluorinated cellulose-based composite aerogels (FCCA) integrating thermal insulation and PRC were developed by a facile manufacturing strategy that combined phase separation and freeze-drying.

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) show great promise for microwave absorption (MA) due to their excellent electrical conductivity and lightweight properties, which are conferred by the one dimensional hollow tubular structure. However, the ambiguous intrinsic motivations behind the formation of CNTs and the intricate growth processes have resulted in a lack of a systematic methodology for precisely controlling their electromagnetic properties. Herein, a flexible CNTs regulation strategy is designed to develop, with the core focus being the directional growth of carbon atoms and the differential catalysis of metal sources.

This paper introduces a novel butterfly optimization algorithm, called the spiral search and dynamic crossover based butterfly optimization algorithm (SCBO), for parameter estimation in proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) models. To enhance the global performance of the butterfly algorithm, a spin-search strategy is incorporated to expand its exploration range, while an adaptive factor is introduced to strike a balance between exploration and exploitation. Additionally, a dynamic crossover operation is integrated to enhance solution diversity, addressing the algorithm's tendency to converge to local optima.

A V-shaped linear ultrasonic motor (LUSM), used as a driving element for the absolute gravimeter, generates structural vibrations when the motor starts and stops, which interfere with and influence the accurate measurement of the absolute gravimeter. In order to address this problem and provide better stability and measurement accuracy, this paper designs a fuzzy proportional integral differential (PID) controller and realizes the drive control of the motor on a field programmable gate array (FPGA) using the Verilog hardware description language (HDL). The advantages of the proposed controller are verified by comparing the simulation results with those of the traditional PID controller.

The lack of a chemical platform with high spatial dimensional diversity, coupled with the elusive multi-scale amorphous physics, significantly hinder advancements in amorphous electromagnetic wave absorption (EWA) materials. Herein, we present a synergistic engineering of phenolic multiple kinetic dynamics and discrete crystallization thermodynamics, to elucidate the origin of the dielectric properties in amorphous carbon and the cascade effect during EWA. Leveraging the scalability of phenolic synthesis, we design dozens of morphologies from the bottom up and combine with in-situ pyrolysis to establish a nanomaterial ecosystem of hundreds of amorphous carbon materials.

DC converter stations have a high voltage level, a long transmission distance, and complex internal equipment, and contain power electronic devices, which seriously endanger the stable operation of the system itself and the active distribution network at the receiving end when faults occur. Accurate fault analysis and diagnosis are critical to the safe and stable operation of power systems. Traditional fault diagnosis methods often rely on a single source of information, leading to issues such as insufficient information utilization and incomplete diagnostic scope when applied to DC transmission systems.

Existing gearbox fault diagnosis methods are prone to noise interference and cannot extract comprehensive fault signals, leading to misdiagnosis or missed diagnosis. This paper proposes a method for gearbox fault diagnosis based on adaptive variational mode decomposition-stationary wavelet transform (AVMD-SWT) and ensemble refined composite multiscale fluctuation dispersion entropy (ERCMFDE). Initially, the kurtosis coefficient and autocorrelation coefficient are presented, and the Intrinsic Mode Functions are denoised through the application of AVMD-SWT.
