The seawalls and roads between the habitats and intertidal zone impede the migration of land crabs to their spawning sites and increase the risk of roadkill in Gaomei Wetland. A pilot project aimed at mitigating roadkill risk involved modifying the landside of the seawalls from vertical to sloped. The effectiveness of the seawall modification needs to be further assessed.

In the past, there has been a lack of systematic discussion and comprehensive theoretical construction of the key elements affecting the improvement of China's Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) inspection. Through this study, the key elements and theoretical logic for applying PIC/S standards to improve China's pharmaceutical GMP inspection work are constructed.

Protein-protein interactions (PPIs) are fundamental to understanding cellular mechanisms, signaling networks, disease pathways, and drug development. Over the years, numerous computational models with artificial intelligence (AI) have been developed to predict PPIs. However, these models mostly face significant challenges, such as fragmented feature extraction pipelines, inability to capture complex global relationships among proteins, and reliance on handcrafted features.

In support of this decision, the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) issued a technical guideline regarding accepting foreign clinical trial data in July 2018. Collectively referred to as the accepting foreign clinical data policy, these measures have accelerated the influx of overseas drugs into China.

Background: Ropeginterferon alfa-2b-njft (ropegIFN) has demonstrated superior efficacy over hydroxyurea in polycythemia vera (PV); however, real-world data on its application across Philadelphia chromosome-negative (Ph-) myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) remain limited.
Patients And Methods: This retrospective cohort study included 64 patients with Ph- MPNs (15 PV, 16 essential thrombocythemia [ET], 5 prefibrotic myelofibrosis [preMF], and 28 with overt myelofibrosis [MF]) treated with ropegIFN between October 2018 and June 2024.
Results: After a median follow-up of 5.

Photoacoustic computed tomography (PACT) is an emerging hybrid imaging modality with potential applications in biomedicine. A major roadblock to the widespread adoption of PACT is the limited number of detectors, which gives rise to spatial aliasing and manifests as streak artifacts in the reconstructed image. A brute-force solution to the problem is to increase the number of detectors, which, however, is often undesirable due to escalated costs.

However, the established relationships between particle size, shape, and photocatalytic activity of SnO are contradictory, indicating the influence of other factors. In this work, the effect of the SnO crystallographic texture on its band gap and photocatalytic activity was shown for the first time.

Aging is commonly associated with a decline in gastrointestinal function, leading to various digestive disorders that impact the quality of life of older adults. The gut microbiota is a highly complex ecosystem that plays crucial roles in digestion, metabolic processes, immune functions, and overall health.

Gut microbiota is demonstrated to show a correlation to pregnancy outcomes by participating in regulating maternal metabolism. However, the specific functional microbiota and its mechanical effects on regulating embryo implantation and survival remain unclear.

Anisotropy in imaging systems often results in directional degradation, impairing image quality and complicating subsequent analyses. While multiangle imaging has proven effective in mitigating these effects, it introduces challenges such as extended imaging times and increased excitation doses. To address these limitations in Photoacoustic Tomography (PAT), we propose a novel approach-Diffusion-based Sparse Tomographic Angular Recovery (D-STAR).

This study was designed to evaluate the "as high as safe administration" (AHASA) principle of RAI treatment in pediatric DTC patients based on the maximum tolerance activity (MTA) of blood to certify dosimetry via a simple algorithm method. Twenty pediatric DTC patients were enrolled and received RAI treatment empirical dosing based on risk stratification after total thyroidectomy.

However, due to the inherent variability in size, shape, and depth of wounds during practical application, for HMNs, customization is essential for optimal alignment with individual wounds to expedite the healing process. Here, we developed a personalized gelatin methacrylate/methacrylated silk fibroin (GelMA/SFMA) HMNs loaded with platelet-rich proteins (GSPMNs) to accelerate wound healing.

In vivo cross-linking mass spectrometry (XL-MS) enables the proteome-wide characterization of protein complexes in living cells. However, most XL-MS methods face significant sample loss during enrichment, limiting their applications to limited-quantity samples, and suffer from poor reproducibility (20%-40%), hindering precise quantification. To overcome these challenges, we developed a novel membrane-permeable cross-linker, 2,6-dimethylpiperidine disuccinimidyl tridecanoate (DPST), in which the dimethylpiperidinyl group enables one-step enrichment of cross-linked peptides via tandem mass tags (TMTs) antibody approach, eliminating sample loss from multi-step processes and allowing analysis from as few as 1E4 cells.

Diabetic wound healing is severely hindered by prolonged oxidative stress and susceptibility to bacterial infections. To address this challenge, a dual-network hydrogel (PVA/HA@BT) was developed by integrating baicalein (BCE), a natural antioxidant, and tannic acid-stabilized silver nanoparticles (TA-AgNPs) into a polyvinyl alcohol/hyaluronic acid (PVA/HA) matrix. The hydrogel enables sustained BCE release to neutralize reactive oxygen species and alleviate oxidative damage, while synergistically enhancing antibacterial efficacy through the combined action of BCE and TA-AgNPs.

Using the digital financial inclusion index of 337 prefecture-level cities in China and the empirical data of Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share-listed pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises from 2011 to 2022, the article empirically examines the impact mechanism of digital financial inclusion on R&D investment of pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises from the perspective of government subsidy by using a high-dimensional fixed-effects model, a two-stage systematic GMM, and a moderated-effects test method. It is found that digital financial inclusion has a positive incentive effect on pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises to increase R&D investment, and this positive effect still holds after the endogeneity test and robustness test.

The chaperonin tailless complex polypeptide 1 (TCP1) is a key subunit of chaperonin containing TCP1 (CCT) that regulates the folding and stability of proteins during cancer progression. Here, the prognostic significance of TCP1 was explored mainly in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). We showed that TCP1 expression was significantly greater in clinically malignant tumour tissues than in normal tissues and that high TCP1 expression was associated with poor prognosis.

Multispectral photoacoustic tomography (PAT) can create high spatial and temporal resolution images of oxygen saturation (sO2) distribution in deep tissue. However, unknown distributions of photon absorption and scattering introduces complex modulations to the photoacoustic (PA) spectra, dramatically reducing the accuracy of sO2 quantification. In this study, a rigorous light transport model was employed to unveil that the PA spectra corresponding to distinct sO2 values can be constrained within separate convex cones (CCs).
