As the world's largest CO emitter, China needs accurate city-level CO emission accounts to formulate effective low-carbon policies. However, previous studies mainly accounted for emissions from fossil fuel combustion and overlooked process-related CO emissions from industrial production (e.g.

Background: This study investigates how mP6/Rg3 micelles modulate ABCB1 expression to induce ferroptosis in oral cancer stem cells (CSC) and enhance oral cancer outcomes.
Methods: Micelles targeting CD44 peptide P6 were prepared and characterized using TEM and immunofluorescence. Biocompatibility was evaluated through LIVE/DEAD staining and CCK-8 assays.

This study aims to compare the effectiveness of lifestyle interventions on systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) in individuals with prehypertension. A systematic literature search was conducted in PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and the Wanfang database from inception to December 2023. The analysis included randomized controlled trials with either parallel or cross-over designs.

This study aims to explore the potential causal relationships between diabetic complications and circulating vitamins in diabetics. We selected vitamin A (VitA) genetic variants ( = 5,006), vitamin B (VitB) genetic variants ( = 64,974), vitamin C (VitC) genetic variants ( = 52,018) and vitamin D (VitD) genetic variants ( = 441,291) as exposures of interest from large-scale Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) databases.

Background: Skip metastasis of lateral cervical lymph nodes not uncommonly occurs in early papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC), which represents a heterogeneous metastasis type. Currently, few studies report on the relationship between skip metastasis and prognosis or propose treatment recommendations.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on patients with unilateral T1-stage PTC who underwent lobectomy between 2007 and 2015.
Dirigent (DIR) proteins are key regulators of lignin and lignan biosynthesis and play critical roles in plant hormone responses, abiotic stress tolerance, and growth and development. This study identified and characterized 47 genes in Moso bamboo, classifying them into three groups. Phylogenetic and comparative analyses revealed strong evolutionary conservation, with the Moso bamboo genes being most closely related to those in rice and maize.

Background: The presence of lymph node metastasis (LNM) is frequently observed in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC), and most clinical guidelines recommend total thyroidectomy. However, the impact of LNM on specific types of locoregional recurrence remains uncertain, particularly for stage T1 PTC.
Methods: The present retrospective cohort study enrolled patients diagnosed with stage T1 PTC between 2008 and 2015.
The incidence of lymph node metastasis in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is common and a significant risk factor for local recurrence; however, its impact on recurrence patterns among low-risk patients remains uncertain. We aimed to elucidate the effect of metastatic lymph node on recurrence type. The medical records of 1209 patients with stage T1 PTC who underwent unilateral thyroidectomy with ipsilateral central lymph node dissection were retrospectively analyzed.

The deposition of low mechanical loss materials (3×10) with a high refractive index (1.93) while maintaining low processing costs was achieved and the following trends were demonstrated: The energy band gap increased as the concentration was increased in the mixture, and the disorder constant decreased when the annealing temperatures increased.

To demonstrate this, the LVF fabricated in our group has been measured and analyzed. Simulations for beam spot size effects on measurements were performed for various LVF spectral peak profiles with results indicting significant averaging effect due to beam spot size and this is consistent with experiment results.

Due to external vibrations, cyclic loads, and pollution, the fitting parts may start getting loose, which could result in pipeline leaks and other environmental disasters. It is of great significance to develop a reliable technique that could provide real-time monitoring of the looseness of pipeline fittings.
