Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) is a synthetic elastomer widely used in biomedical and industrial applications. Despite its widespread use, the natural evolution of its mechanical and surface properties over time remains poorly understood. In this study, we fabricated PDMS samples with base-to-curing agent mixing ratios from 5:1 to 30:1 and aged them for up to 8 weeks under six non-harsh conditions at room temperature.

The pathogenesis of RISI involves oxidative stress, inflammation, DNA damage, and cellular senescence.

Mobile mapping is the research trend in the mapping field due to its superior time efficiency compared to traditional fixed mapping methods. It is an important digital base for numerous applications, such as high-definition (HD) maps, digital twins, smart cities. However, most mobile mapping datasets are based on portable platforms, such as backpacks and robotics, leading to insufficient research on large-scale mobile mapping and autonomous driving.

Hematological analysis of alpha-thalassemia: A single-center, retrospective clinical study.

Objectives: To determine the optimal cutoffs of the three indicators (MCV, MCH and HbA2) for alpha-thalassemia screening and to evaluate the validity of these indicators in Fujian Province, China.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis on the results of specimens received from May 2016 to April 2023. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used to confirm the optimal cutoffs of the screening indicators.

Dual Interfacial Engineering of Cracked NiCoP Electrode with Directed Bubbling for Efficient and Stable Hydrogen Evolution.

Constructing stable electrodes is the premise of practical water electrolysis. Unfortunately, the catalytic performance under industrial conditions encounters critical challenges in bubble dynamics, wherein the violent bubble accumulation not only blocks active sites against reactants but also induces excessive stress upon detachment, leading to catalyst delamination from substrates. Here, a substrate-strengthened and crack-configured NiCoP electrode is developed, which features robust catalyst-substrate binding strength and weakened adhesion at the catalyst-bubble interface.

To compare the performance of first-trimester serum screening (FTSS) and non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) in detecting fetal chromosomal aneuploidies trisomy 21 (T21) and trisomy 18 (T18), and to evaluate the cost-effectiveness and clinical feasibility of four screening strategies for the prevention of Down syndrome (DS) from a health economics perspective. This retrospective study included 33,559 pregnant women who underwent DS screening at Fujian Maternity and Child Health Hospital between February 25, 2022, and December 29, 2023. Participants were divided into an FTSS group (n = 23,136) and an NIPT group (n = 10,423) based on the type of screening received.

This review synthesizes current knowledge on eccDNA, covering its classification, biogenesis, detection methods, biological functions, and clinical implications. Once considered rare anomalies, eccDNAs are now recognized as major drivers of oncogene amplification, genomic plasticity, and therapeutic resistance, particularly in cancer.

This paper presents the D-type distributed iterative learning control protocol to synchronize fractional-order competitive neural networks with time delay within a finite time frame. Firstly, the input sharing strategy of such desired competitive neural network is proposed by employing the average weighted combination of neural network, so that each neural network shares its input information to accelerate synchronization speed between competitive neural networks under a fixed communication topology. With the contraction mapping approach and bellman-gronwall inequality, the learning synchronization convergence of the distributed D-type iterative learning protocol is rigorously analyzed along the iterative axis.

This study assessed the pharmacokinetics, bioequivalence, and food effect of two enteric-coated aspirin tablets (100 mg) in healthy Chinese subjects. Ninety subjects were enrolled and divided into fasted (n = 42) and fed cohorts (n = 48) in a single-center, randomized, open-label, single-dose, four-period, two-sequence and crossover study. The pharmacokinetic characteristics of acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) and its metabolite salicylic acid, including C and AUC, were compared after subjects received single oral doses of enteric-coated aspirin tablet using a validated LC-MS/MS method.

Prophylactic cerebral irradiation sensitizes relapsed sensitive small cell lung cancer to temozolomide: A retrospective cohort study.

Prophylactic cerebral irradiation (PCI) reduces the rate of brain metastasis and improves the prognosis of patients with small cell lung cancer (SCLC), but little is known about the effect of PCI on second-line chemotherapy in patients with relapsed sensitive SCLC. This retrospective cohort study included a total of 164 patients with relapsed sensitive SCLC, 20 of whom were administered temozolomide (TMZ). Categorical clinical variables were compared between subgroups with the chi-square test or Fisher's exact test, continuous clinical variables were compared with the t-test or one-way ANOVA, and the impact on overall survival (OS) was assessed using Kaplan-Meier analysis with the log-rank test.
