We report herein an asymmetric Ni-catalyzed cross-electrophile coupling approach to prepare enantioenriched aryl/vinyl alkyl carbinol esters through arylation/vinylation of easily accessible racemic 1-chloro-1-alkanol esters with aryl/vinyl electrophiles. The method features a broad substrate scope as demonstrated by more than 60 examples including the challenging chiral allylic esters. It tolerates a wide array of functional groups including alkenyl, carbonyl and free hydroxyl groups that may not survive in conventional carbonyl reduction and addition methods.

Electroencephalography (EEG) is recorded by electrodes from different areas of the brain and is commonly used to measure neuronal activity. EEG-based methods have been widely used for emotion recognition recently. However, most current methods for EEG-based emotion recognition do not fully exploit the relationship of EEG channels, which affects the precision of emotion recognition.

Domain adaptation aims to learn a classifier for a target domain task by using related labeled data from the source domain. Because source domain data and target domain task may be mismatched, there is an uncertainty of source domain data with respect to the target domain task. Ignoring the uncertainty may lead to models with unreliable and suboptimal classification results for the target domain task.

Traditional acid-base leching technology is the primary technology to recycle silver from crystal silicon solar panels, which is fussy and often employs poisonous/harmful chemicals. In the present study, silver was easily recycled from photovoltaic panels in self-synthesized. Deep-Eutectic Solvents System (DESs) without pretreatments and the reaction system could be cyclically utilized.

As one of important precursors of secondary organic aerosol (SOA), intermediate volatile organic compounds (IVOCs) have attracted much attention in recent years. Most of the previous studies however largely focused on characteristics of IVOCs from different emission sources, while data from field observations to study their temporal variations was limited for lacking the sufficient time resolution monitoring data. In this study, an online thermal desorption-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (TD-GC/MS) method was developed to generate monitor data with a three-hour time resolution for gaseous atmospheric IVOCs.

The wet desulphurisation and denitrification technique based on micro-nano bubbles, which is available by either D-method or I-method, is a promising novel process. By employing piped water, NaSO aqueous solution and HA-Na aqueous solution as the absorption liquids, a comparative study was conducted in this article on D-method and I-method to analyze their performance, advantages and disadvantages. It was accompanied by an investigation of how initial pH and initial temperature values of the absorption liquids affected the removal efficiency.

Iron-based catalysts have been demonstrated to activate peroxymonosulfate (PMS) to generate reactive radicals, which is however limited by their complex preparation process, high costs and inefficiency for practical applications. Herein we obtain spent LiFePO (SLFP), with powerful catalytic capacity by a simple one-step treatment of the retired LiFePO cathode material, for PMS activation to decontaminate organic pollutants. Lithium defects and oxygen vacancies in SLFP play critical roles for PMS utilization, further confirmed by density functional theory (DFT) calculations.

Inorganic perovskite cesium lead iodide nanocrystals (CsPbINCs) are good candidates for optoelectronic devices because of their excellent properties of remarkable luminous performance (high luminous efficiency, narrow luminous spectral line), and high photoelectric conversion efficiency by using simple preparation method. But their inherent poor stability greatly limits its practical applications. In this paper, electrospinning is used to grow fibrous membranes with embedded cesium lead iodide perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs) formedin a one-step process.

To analyze the impact of government carbon tax and subsidy policies on the manufac turing industry in the context of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. This paper constructs a game model based on two government policies: a "carbon tax" policy for the original product and a "subsidy" policy for the remanufactured product, taking the original product and the remanufactured product as the objects. The policy game model is used to study the impact of carbon taxes, government subsidies, and carbon emissions on product quality, sales, and corporate profits.

Link prediction based on bipartite networks can not only mine hidden relationships between different types of nodes, but also reveal the inherent law of network evolution. Existing bipartite network link prediction is mainly based on the global structure that cannot analyze the role of the local structure in link prediction. To tackle this problem, this paper proposes a deep link-prediction (DLP) method by leveraging the local structure of bipartite networks.

Efficient and nondestructive liquid exfoliation of MXene with large lateral size has drawn growing research interest due to its outstanding properties and diverse potential applications. The conventional sonication method, though enabling a high production yield of MXene nanosheets, broke them down into submicrometric sizes or even quantum dots, and thus sacrificed their size-dependent properties, chemical stability, and wide applications. Herein, rigid biological nanofibrils in combination of mild manual shake were found to be capable of peeling off MXene nanosheets by attaching on MXene surfaces and localizing the shear force.

Accurate sleep staging results can be used to measure sleep quality, providing a reliable basis for the prevention and diagnosis of sleep-related diseases. The key to sleep staging is the feature representation of EEG signals. Existing approaches rarely consider local features in feature extraction, and fail to distinguish the importance of critical and non-critical local features.

The thermal transport of Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)-poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) nanofiber is contributed by the electronic component of thermal conduction and the phonon component of thermal conduction. The relationship between the electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity of these conducting polymers is of great interest in thermoelectric energy conversation. In this work, we characterized the axial electrical conductivities and thermal conductivities of the single PEDOT:PSS nanofibers and found that the Lorenz number is larger than Sommerfeld value at 300 K.

As a typical phase-change material (PCM) with high heat storage capacity and wide distribution, hydrated salts play broad and critical roles in solar energy utilization in recent years. However, the leakage and supercooling problems of hydrated salts have been a constraint to their further practical applications. In the current work, the super-hydrophilic reduced graphene oxide (RGO) aerogels modified by konjac glucomannan (KGM) as supporting structural materials are prepared by the hydrothermal reaction-freeze-drying, which can effectively absorb and convert visible sunlight energy into thermal energy.
