Flexible wearable strain sensors are rapidly advancing non-invasive devices, while achieving both an ultra-low detection limit and wide sensing range concurrently presents a challenge. Herein, we propose a liquid metal (LM) strain sensors manufacturing strategy employing aerosol jet printing (AJP). Specially formulated LM ink is the key to enabling high-precision printing (12 μm) of LM via AJP, which is optimized by adjusting the concentration of polyvinylpyrrolidone and diethylene glycol.

Over the past decade, our understanding of cancer metabolism has advanced significantly, revealing a complex and dynamic landscape of metabolic reprogramming that facilitates tumor progression and promotes therapeutic resistance. To survive under stressful conditions, cancer cells undergo crucial metabolic adaptations while also creating vulnerabilities that can be exploited for therapeutic purposes. Here, we discuss the evolving understanding of cancer cell metabolic adaptation in the tumor environment and the recent advances in identifying potential therapeutic mechanisms, including synthetic lethality, post-translational modifications (PTMs), as well as the interplay between metabolism and epigenetics.

While achieving multifunctional integration of light wave phase, polarization, focusing, filtering, and more, metasurfaces often encounter challenges in ensuring optical imaging quality, including optical distortions like aberrations. This paper addresses the significant aberration challenges in far-field imaging of long-wave infrared metasurfaces by proposing the use of an infrared germanium lens point spread function (PSF) to optimize aberration phenomena in metasurface imaging. This study also demonstrated that the phase distribution of the metasurface unit cells achieved a complete coverage of 0-2, thereby validating the precise phase modulation capability of the designed metasurface.

Purpose: Pelvic lymph node dissection (PLND) remains standard for nodal staging in prostate cancer (PCa), yet its benefit in intermediate-risk PCa is controversial. Traditional imaging and nomograms often lack accuracy, resulting in unnecessary PLND. Prostate-specific membrane antigen positron emission tomography/CT (PSMA PET/CT) is a promising alternative.

Processing errors can result in an asymmetric stiffness distribution within a microelectromechanical system (MEMS) disk resonator gyroscope (DRG) and thereby cause a mode mismatch and reduce the mechanical sensitivity and closed-loop scale factor stability. This paper proposes an automatic mode-matching method that utilizes mode reversal to obtain the true resonant frequency of the operating state of a gyroscope for high-precision matching. This method constructs a gyroscope control system that contains a drive closed loop, sense force-to-rebalance (FTR) closed loop, and quadrature error correction closed loop.

In this paper, magnetically responsive graphene/boron nitride/iron oxide fillers were prepared by growing iron oxide on the surface of graphene/boron nitride fillers via liquid-phase reaction. By adding the composite filler into the epoxy resin and utilising magnetic field-assisted curing, the composites were prepared to effectively improve the thermal conductivity of the composites while maintaining the insulating properties. The thermal conductivity of the composite filler is 2.

Integrin α5β1 and αv crosstalk in chemotaxis and clonogenic survival of prostate cancer cells is abrogated by a bispecific α5β1/αv antibody (BsAbα5β1/αv), which uniquely induces internalization and lysosomal degradation of target integrins. We hypothesized that the BsAbα5β1/αv inactivates pathological mechanosignaling pathways that correlate with integrin expression from patient samples. Mechanistic studies indicate that the BsAbα5β1/αv uniquely reverses YAP, beta-catenin and FAK nuclear localization compared to monospecific integrin α5β1 and αv antibody controls in basal-type androgen-receptor negative prostate cancer cells.

Data-driven decision-making is crucial in drug development, with the predictive probability of success (PoS) being a key quantitative tool. PoS estimates the likelihood of success of a future trial based on the same or surrogate endpoint(s) of interest, utilizing information from interim analyses, or completed historical studies. While it has been extensively studied and broadly applied in clinical practice, there is a growing need of a unified approach for PoS that can effectively incorporate information from surrogate endpoints and multiple historical studies.

Cu(I)-based metal halides have gained significant interest as scintillators. However, their X-ray luminescence efficiency is mainly determined by the competition between radiative organic ligands and nonradiative metal cluster-centered charge transfer. How to regulate their charge transfer to enhance radiative emission is an intractable challenge.
