Dopamine (DA) signaling is essential for neurodevelopment and is particularly sensitive to disruption during adolescence. Protein restriction (PR) can impair DA dynamics, yet mechanistic insights remain limited due to challenges in real-time neurochemical sensing. Here, we present aptCFE, a robust implantable aptamer-based sensor fabricated via a reagent-free, 3 min electrochemical conjugation (E-conjugation) using amine-quinone chemistry.

Aqueous zinc-ion microbatteries exhibit promising prospects for wearable devices due to their high safety and cost-effectiveness but face challenges such as low energy density and short cycle life. To address these challenges, a dual-plating flexible Zn-Br microbattery was developed using freestanding MXene films as a zinc metal free anode. The MXene anode retains no redundant Zn, as Zn from the electrolyte undergoes deposition/stripping reactions on its substrate, thereby eliminating the necessity for excess zinc.

The Buchwald-Hartwig (B-H) reaction graph, a novel graph for deep learning models, is designed to simulate the interactions among multiple chemical components in the B-H reaction by representing each reactant as an individual node within a custom-designed reaction graph, thereby capturing both single-molecule and intermolecular relationship features. Trained on a high-throughput B-H reaction data set, B-H Reaction Graph Neural Network (BH-RGNN) achieves near-state-of-the-art performance with an score of 0.971 while maintaining low computational costs.

Myocardial injury constitutes a life-threatening complication of sepsis, driven by synergistic oxidative-inflammatory pathology involving dysregulated production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), reactive nitrogen species (RNS), and proinflammatory cytokines. This pathophysiological cascade remarkably elevates morbidity and mortality rates in septic patients, emerging as a key contributor to poor clinical outcomes. Despite its clinical significance, no clinically validated therapeutics currently exist for managing septic cardiomyopathy.

The CO cycloaddition route is an effective way to achieve efficient conversion and utilization of CO. Zeolites with diverse topologies and tunable acidic sites can efficiently promote the cycloaddition reaction of CO with epoxides. The exchangeable cations in zeolites have a great influence on the performance of the CO cycloaddition, but there are few studies on it.

While hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) hosts promising room-temperature quantum emitters for hybrid quantum photonic circuits, scalable deterministic integration and insufficient brightness alongside low photon collection and coupling efficiencies remain unresolved challenges. We present a femtosecond laser nanoengineering platform that enables the site-specific generation of hBN single-photon source (SPS) arrays. First-principles density functional theory (DFT) calculations and polarization-resolved spectroscopy confirm the atomic origin of emission as interfacial defects at hBN/SiO heterojunctions.

A regioselective C3-H alkynylation of triazolopyridazines has been achieved via dual gold/silver catalysis employing hypervalent iodine(III) reagents. The transformation proceeds through an alkynyl Au(III) intermediate and a silver-assisted C-H activation pathway, delivering a broad range of 3-alkynylated triazolopyridazines in good to excellent yields. Mechanistic studies, including H/D exchange experiments, reveal that the silver species plays a crucial role in facilitating C-H activation.

Bioinspired network designs are widely exploited in biointegrated electronics and tissue engineering because of their high stretchability, imperfection insensitivity, high permeability, and biomimetic J-shaped stress-strain responses. However, the fabrication of three-dimensionally (3D) architected electronic devices with ordered constructions of network microstructures remains challenging. Here, we introduce the tensile buckling of stacked multilayer precursors as a unique route to 3D network materials with regularly distributed 3D microstructures.

Embodied intelligence in soft robotics offers unprecedented capabilities for operating in uncertain, confined, and fragile environments that challenge conventional technologies. However, achieving true embodied intelligence-which requires continuous environmental sensing, real-time control, and autonomous decision-making-faces challenges in energy management and system integration. We developed deformation-resilient flexible batteries with enhanced performance under magnetic fields inherently present in magnetically actuated soft robots, with capacity retention after 200 cycles improved from 31.

Acoustic transducers require films that demonstrate both toughness and fatigue resistance, presenting notable challenges when achieved through conventional nanoscale reinforcing strategies. Here, we found that the rib structure of a cicada's tymbal exhibits exceptional toughness and fatigue resistance, attributed to its unique architecture composed of alternating soft and stiff polymer layers. Inspired by this rib structure, we developed a robust artificial rib film (ARF) using a nanoconfined crystallization strategy that involves the deposition of soft polyethylene oxide and stiff phenol formaldehyde.

Triple-negative breast cancers (TNBCs) lack predictive biomarkers to guide immunotherapy, especially during early-stage disease. To address this issue, we used single-cell RNA sequencing, bulk transcriptomics, and pathology assays on samples from 171 patients with early-stage TNBC receiving chemotherapy with or without immunotherapy. Our investigation identified an enriched subset of interferon (IFN)-induced CD8 T cells in early TNBC samples, which predict immunotherapy nonresponsiveness.

Numerous parameters influence the slotting performance of slotted cartridge, to facilitate rapid, efficient, and accurate predictions of the slitting performance, statistical analysis of PMMA blasting experiments with six different slitted cartridge parameters yielded 12 evaluation indicators. Subsequently, a principal component analysis (PCA) method was introduced to reduce the dimensionality of the data associated with these indicators, and three new comprehensive indicators were extracted for a comprehensive assessment of the slotting performance. The PCA scores ranked the influence of the six slotted cartridge parameters on slotting performance as follows: decoupling coefficient, slotting width, slotting angle, slotting tube thickness, slotting tube material, and charge amount.

Polymerizable deep eutectic solvents (PDES) have recently emerged as a class of solvent-free ionically conductive elastomers and are considered among the most feasible candidates for next-generation ionotronic devices. However, the fundamental challenge persists in synergistically combining high mechanical strength, robust adhesion, reliable self-healing capacity, and effective antimicrobial performance within a unified material system capable of fulfilling the rigorous operational demands of next-generation ionotronic devices across multifunctional applications. Inspired by the hierarchical structure of spider silk, HCAG eutectogels composed of acrylic acid (AA), 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA), and choline chloride (ChCl) were successfully synthesized via a one-step photopolymerization method.

The in-depth integration of gene regulation with protein modulation can enhance cellular information processing, yet it is significantly constrained by ineffective and complex protein-to-gene transduction strategies. Herein, we developed a simple protease-guided autocatalytic gene silencing platform named iPAD (intelligent peptide-programmed deoxyribonuclease) that converts the protease recognition events into versatile DNA readout signals by rationally designing a native protease-responsive cationic peptide (PP) to efficiently modulate the DNAzyme (Dz) activity. Without requiring additional chemical modifications, the multifunctional PP regulator consists simply of one cell-specific targeting peptide segment and two cationic peptide segments isolated by one protease-specific peptide substrate.

Antigen-capturing nanomaterials hold great promise for cancer immunotherapy; however, the need for tumor localized administration and limited antigen-binding affinity remains the "Achilles heel" of this strategy. Herein, we present a tumor microenvironment (TME)-activatable nanoplatform, TDR848@FPB, designed for systemic administration and enhanced covalent capture of tumor-associated antigens (TAAs), enabling effective immunotherapy with minimal off-target effects and independent of localized tumor administration. This platform encapsulates a photosensitizer-conjugated, light-activated toll-like receptor (TLR) agonist, which induces immunogenic cell death and triggers a pro-inflammatory TME conducive to antigen capture upon light irradiation.
