In this study, aloe emodin and β-d-glucose pentaacetate were added into potato starch/polyvinyl alcohol for the construction of colorimetric/fluorescent dual-pass intelligent response labels. Inspired by the lotus leaf structure, retained the advantages of the label itself and solved the hydrophilic problem of the label, and further developed a multi-functional dual-channel smart label with hydrophobicity and self-adhesion. The water contact angle of the prepared T-AEB label was 120.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a highly prevalent endocrine disorder characterized by intertwined reproductive and metabolic abnormalities. While its causal origins remain incompletely understood, accumulating evidence suggests metabolic dysfunctions-manifested by insulin resistance, obesity, hyperglycemia, and dyslipidemia-as key contributors to the pathogenesis and progression of PCOS. Emerging interventions targeting these metabolic disturbances, including caloric restriction, GLP-1-based therapies, and bariatric surgery, have shown efficacy in alleviating PCOS symptoms and potentially blocking their inheritance.

Among these conditions, endocrine hypertension, such as primary aldosteronism (PA), Cushing's syndrome (CS) and pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma (PPGL), is a common and significantly harmful cause. With advancements in diagnostic techniques, the prevalence of endocrine hypertension is much higher than previously reported, but large-scale epidemiological survey data in this field are still lacking in China.

To overcome the limitations of conventional enzymatic glyphosate (Glyp) detection methods, including enzyme environmental sensitivity, high cost, and limited enzyme sources, this study developed a portable paper-based fluorescence platform (Y-R membrane) based on a metal-organic framework (MOF)-driven fluorescence regulation mechanism for non-enzymatic and rapid detection of Glyp. This platform was constructed by immobilizing MnMOF and yellow carbon dots (Y-CDs) on a polyvinylidene fluoride membrane. The ZrOx-OH derived from alkaline-treated UiO-66 regulated the Mn/Mn redox reactions through its surface hydroxyl groups, triggering the red fluorescence of MnMOF.

Targeting angiogenesis remains a pivotal therapeutic approach in cancer treatment, aiming to impede tumor growth and metastasis. In this study, three novel cyclometallated Ir(III) complexes (Ir1, Ir2, and Ir3) were synthesized and systematically assessed for their in vitro cytotoxic effects across a range of cancer cell lines. Mechanistic studies revealed that these complexes are internalized by MCF-7 cells via energy-dependent pathways and predominantly accumulate within lysosomes or the endoplasmic reticulum.

Methods: To identify simulation studies comparing at least two strategies to deal with MBOD and evaluating their performance (bias, coverage and power), we searched MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials via Ovid, Web of Science, and JSTOR from their inception up to December 20, 2023. We evaluated reporting quality using established criteria for simulation studies in medical statistics.
As lung cancer is still the deadliest cancer worldwide, there is an urgent need for safer and more efficient therapies. This study aims to address the challenges posed by tumors in reducing the efficacy of sonodynamic therapy (SDT) through mechanisms such as hypoxia and abnormal blood vessel formations. In this study, manganese-containing DNA nanoflowers (DHA-DDF) loaded with doxorubicin (DOX) were functionalized with an AS1411 aptamer and a hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) antisense sequence.

Impressively, compared with conventional single-shear site DNA walkers with poor walking efficiency, the LMDW obtained from the RCA-confined HCR reaction can accommodate a considerable number of functional domains, increasing the shear efficiency to the hairpin probe with the beacon material, thereby consequently enhancing the reaction rate and sensitivity of the biosensor. Following validation, the probe acquisition time down to just 20 min, far less than traditional single-shear site DNA walkers and the detection limit was 0.

CRISPR-Cas12a-based diagnostic technologies have revolutionized nucleic acid detection, but their broader application remains constrained by the protospacer adjacent motif (PAM) requirement and limited multiplexing capabilities due to reliance on -cleavage. Here, we present a photocontrolled programmable enzymatic cascade strategy that enables temporal regulation of three sequential reactions─nucleic acid amplification, photoactivated lambda exonuclease (λ-exon)-mediated single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) generation, and PAM-independent Cas12a detection─all within a one-pot system, effectively overcoming the PAM constraint. We further exploit the orthogonal -cleavage activity of Cas12a and Cas13a to enable simultaneous dual-gene detection within the one-pot system, thereby circumventing multiplexing limitations.

The increased adoption of renewable power necessitates the development of grid-scale storage solutions, with aqueous redox flow batteries (RFBs) at the forefront. Despite their potential, performance limitations arising from high solution viscosity at high concentrations of active material and rapid degradation due to active material crossover continue to pose challenges. Here, we use flow chemistry to create redox-active hyperbranched copolymers (HBCs), which exhibited substantially improved suppression of crossover and enhanced rheology behaviors.
