Early diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) is essential for improving patient outcomes. As a primary diagnostic modality, electrocardiogram (ECG) signals pose challenges for automatic classification due to their complex temporal and morphological characteristics. This study proposes a CNN-CBAM-GRU model that integrates Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), the Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM), and Gated Recurrent Units (GRU) to enhance both spatial feature representation and temporal sequence modeling.

Design: We prospectively examined the risk of metachronous high-risk neoplasia, including high-risk adenoma, high-risk serrated polyp (SP) and CRC, according to index colonoscopy findings among individuals aged <50 years and ≥50 years who had received ≥1 follow-up colonoscopy in the Mass General Brigham Colonoscopy Cohort (2007-2023).
Early detection of leakage in foundation pit retaining structures during excavation is critical for ensuring both construction safety and the integrity of adjacent buildings. Conventional surface direct current methods suffer from poor resolution, low interference to resistance, and limited capability in pinpointing leakage locations. To achieve accurate leakage identification and enhance the quality control of major engineering projects, this study first establishes a coupled electrokinetic-steady electric field response mechanism by integrating the naturally occurring electric field from electrokinetic effects in leakage zones with artificial steady electric fields during pumping tests.

However, the local correlation assumption of inductive bias limits the ability of convolutions to focus on global information, which has led to the performance of Transformer-based methods surpassing that of CNNs in some segmentation tasks in recent years. Although combining with Transformers can solve this problem, it also introduces computational complexity and considerable parameters.

However, zinc dendrite growth, zinc corrosion, and side reactions on the Zn anode surface in aqueous electrolyte cause severe challenges for the practical application of aqueous ZIBs. Inspired by protein facial film, this study proposed to employ low concentrations (10 mol/L magnitude, 5.

Through dynamic monitoring of sulfide concentrations and environmental parameter variations in anaerobic pipelines, a multiphase coupled kinetic model integrating liquid-phase, gas-phase, and biofilm metabolic processes was developed. The results demonstrate that moderate salinity enhances the activity of sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) and accelerates sulfate reduction rates, whereas excessive sulfide accumulation inhibits SRB activity.

Background: The path from paroxysmal to persistent atrial fibrillation (AF) is still poorly understood, leading to suboptimal treatment outcomes.
Objectives: In this study, the authors sought to investigate the level of fibrosis in different stages of AF with the use of F-labeled aluminum fluoride (AlF) targeting fibroblast activation protein inhibitor (FAPI) positron emission tomography (PET)-magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Methods: A total of 78 patients with AF and 49 health volunteers were enrolled in this study.

Background: Conversion therapy with tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) offers the potential for curative resection in unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, early recurrence (≤2 years) after conversion liver resection remains a major concern. This study aimed to develop and validate online preoperative and postoperative risk scores to predict early recurrence in patients undergoing conversion liver resection.

The increase in pixel density exacerbates the process difficulty and manufacturing cost of flat panel displays, especially for Micro-LED displays. To alleviate this problem, this paper proposes a novel single-image subpixel rendering method using a residual network for RGBG square-arranged flat panel subpixel displays. The proposed method uses a residual network to achieve nonlinear mapping from the original image to the rendered image and designs a perceptual error loss function based on the contrast sensitivity function (CSF) of the human eye to find an optimal balance between luminance resolution and chromatic aliasing.

The notorious dendrite growth, serious Zn corrosion and hydrogen evolution confronted by the Zn anode greatly limit the cycle life of aqueous zinc metal batteries. Here, the structure of electrical double layer (EDL) is designed by a specifically adsorbed anionic surfactant (MOA) featuring a zincophilic phosphate group and hydrophobic long alkyl chain, decreasing the activity of water on the Zn anode, effectively inhibiting the side reactions. More importantly, the reconstructed EDL by MOA exhibits a high current response characteristic, leading to the formation of a denser and thinner EDL under a high current density, which accelerates the diffusion kinetics of Zn and benefits the uniform Zn plating/stripping.

The unpleasant sour off-flavors for Dosidicus gigas greatly affects its flavor and edible value, which is provably attributed to the formation of opines as the characteristic sour compounds. Opine dehydrogenases (OpDHs) play a crucial role in opine formation. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the enzymatic properties of OpDHs and further clarify the catalytic mechanisms of OpDHs mainly including meso-alanopine dehydrogenase (meso-ADH), β-alanopine dehydrogenase (β-ADH), and strobmine dehydrogenase (SDH) for the formation of corresponding opines.
