Development of aprotic lithium-oxygen (Li-O) batteries suffers from slow cathode reaction kinetics, numerous side reactions, and large polarization, which are intimately related to the discharge product of LiO. Here, we designed and prepared a modified CoO nanoparticle with atomic Ru substitution at octahedral Co sites supported by carbon nanocages (RuCoO@HCNs) as a cathode catalyst. The asymmetrical octahedral Ru-O-Co units trigger a strong electron coupling effect, leading to charge redistribution and optimization of the d-orbital energy levels, thus facilitating oxygen activation and conversion into superoxide anions during discharging.

Background: Endothelial keratoplasty (EK) has revolutionized the treatment of corneal diseases by offering a less invasive alternative to traditional full-thickness keratoplasty. Over the past decades, EK techniques have evolved significantly, improving surgical outcomes, expediting recovery, and reducing postoperative complications. Nevertheless, challenges such as postoperative rejection and endothelial cell loss persist.

Peste des petits ruminants (PPR) is a highly contagious disease caused by peste des petits ruminants virus (PPRV). PPRV is classified into four lineages based on the nucleocapsid (N) or fusion (F) genes. We established a TaqMan quantitative real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) assay using a pair of primers and a probe based on the phosphoprotein (P) gene.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFPeste des petits ruminants virus (PPRV) has been classified into four lineages based on the nucleocapsid and fusion genes, with lineage IV strains being the most widely distributed. In Africa, recent epidemiological data revealed that PPRV lineage IV is increasingly displacing other lineages in prevalence, suggesting a competitive advantage in viral transmission and adaptability. Moreover, a lineage IV strain was the only confirmed strain in Europe and Asia.

A new flavonol glycoside, namely astraside D, was isolated and characterised from the stems and leaves of (AMSL). Its structure was determined through comprehensive spectroscopic analysis, including HR-ESI-MS, 1D and 2D NMR. Building on our previous findings that AMSL alleviates memory impairment, we investigated the neuroprotective effect of astraside D on PC12 cells.

The previous studies have demonstrated that syndecan-1 exerts an essential role in several pulmonary diseases. However, there are few researches about the relation of serum syndecan-1 with corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Background: Perinatal women are increasingly turning to digital media for maternal health information; however, concerns regarding the quality of this information persist. Understanding perinatal women's perceptions of information quality is essential for enhancing the effectiveness of information services.
Objective: This review aims to (1) identify the key features that perinatal women focus on when perceiving the quality of maternal health information on digital media and (2) summarize the quality issues with maternal health information on digital media that perinatal women have reported.

Background: Accurate staging is crucial for effective treatment of hepatic fibrosis (HF). This study evaluates whether spectral CT-derived liver iron concentration (LIC) quantification correlates with HF stages and validates its efficacy in diagnostic staging.
Methods: One hundred seventy-five New Zealand white rabbits were included in the prospective study (35 normal controls; 140 HF models).

The aim of this study was to investigate the regulation of triptolide on Rab7-mediated lipophagy to elucidate the potential association between lipophagy and ferroptosis in triptolide-induced hepatotoxicity. Human normal liver HL7702 cells and C57BL/6J mice were treated with triptolide to establish in vitro and in vivo models. The results revealed that triptolide caused a severe hepatic cell damage in vitro and in vivo.

Primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG), characterized by angle closure (AC) with insidious and irreversible progression, requires precise assessment of AC mechanisms for accurate diagnosis and treatment. This study developed an artificial intelligence system, ACM-Assessor, to evaluate AC mechanisms in ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) images. A dataset of 8482 UBM images from 1160 patients was retrospectively collected.

In the present study, nine previously undescribed steroidal saponins, designated as infundilides A-I (1-9), were isolated from PR. These compounds exhibit unique structural features characterized by the presence of unusual hydroxymethyl or carboxyl substituents at the C-20 position.
