We propose a novel single-plane phase retrieval method to realize high-quality sample reconstruction for lensfree on-chip microscopy. In our method, complex wavefield reconstruction is modeled as a quadratic minimization problem, where total variation and joint denoising regularization are designed to keep a balance of artifact removal and resolution enhancement. In experiment, we built a 3D-printed field-portable platform to validate the imaging performance of our method, where resolution chart, dynamic target, transparent cell, polystyrene beads, and stained tissue sections are employed for the imaging test.

2,5-Diphenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole has been widely used as an acceptor portion of donor-acceptor fluorophores that exhibit thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF), but analogous 2-alkyl-5-phenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazoles have been much less widely investigated. Here the properties of carbazole-substituted 2-methyl-5-phenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazoles are compared to those of their 2,5-diphenyl analogues. The fluorescence of each of the former compounds is blue-shifted by ca.

Low dose acute administration of -methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) antagonist MK-801 is widely used to model cognition impairments associated with schizophrenia (CIAS) in rodents. However, due to no unified standards for animal strain, dose, route of drug delivery, and the duration of administration, how different doses of MK-801 influence behavior and fundamental frequency bands of the local field potential (LFP) in cortical and subcortical brain regions without consistent conclusions. The optimal dose of MK-801 as a valid cognition impairers to model CIAS in C57BL/6J mice remains unclear.

The Ni-rich cathode holds great promise for high energy density lithium-ion batteries because of its high capacity and operating voltage. However, crucial problems such as cation disorder, structural degradation, side reactions, and microcracks become serious with increasing nickel content. Herein, a novel and facile sol/antisolvent coating modification of Ni-rich layered oxide LiNiCoMnO (NCM) is developed where we use ethanol to disperse the nanosized LiBO to form the sol and adopt tetrahydrofuran (THF) as antisolvent to prepare the cluster of nanoparticles to be coated on the surface of NCM.

The detection of tumor markers in blood samples with high efficiency and sensitivity is in urgent need. In this work, a one-step quantitative detection assay for alpha fetal protein (AFP) based on gold microelectrode which is denoted as AuμE through square wave voltammetry using [Fe(CN)] as mediator was developed. As the biorecognition element of the assay, sulfydryl-modified AFP aptamer could be directly conjugated onto the surface of the AuμE, which could capture AFP with high specificity, and this attachment would cause the decrease of the capacitive current of the cyclic voltammetry due to the reduction of the active area of the electrodes.

In this paper, sodium alginate-sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (SA-CMC) composite material was used as a carrier, and sodium alginate-embedded laccase (Lac@SC) was prepared by traditional embedding method. After that, ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether (EGDE) and glutaraldehyde (GLU) were used as cross-linking agents, two different cross-linking-embedded co-immobilized laccases (Lac@SCG and Lac@SCE) were innovatively prepared, respectively, and then these immobilized laccases were characterized by SEM, FT-IR and XRD, and the stability of the three immobilized laccases was explored. In addition, the effects of different factors on the removal of 2,4-DCP by immobilized laccase were studied, and the degradation kinetic models of three immobilized laccases on 2,4-DCP were summarized, the possible degradation pathways of pollutants were also given.

Utilizing ionic liquids (ILs) with low flammability as the precursor component for a gel polymer electrolyte is a smart strategy out of safety concerns. Solvate ionic liquids (SILs) consist of equimolar lithium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide and tetraglyme, alleviating the main problems of high viscosity and low Li conductivity of conventional ILs. In this study, within a very short time of 30 s, a SIL turns immobile using efficient and controllable UV-curing with an ethoxylated trimethylolpropane triacrylate (ETPTA) network, forming a homogeneous SIL-based gel polymer electrolyte (SGPE) with enhanced thermal stability (216 °C), robust mechanical strength (compression modulus: 1.

The success of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells in treating B cell malignancies comes at the price of eradicating normal B cells. Even though T cell malignancies are aggressive and treatment options are limited, similar strategies for T cell malignancies are constrained by the severe immune suppression arising from bystander T cell aplasia. Here, we show the selective killing of malignant T cells without affecting normal T cell-mediated immune responses in vitro and in a mouse model of disseminated leukemia.
