Super strength and toughness, excellent deformation resistance, and high-temperature service performance are the key factors to determine the practical application of new thermal barrier coatings (TBCs). The limited mobility of dislocations and the internal inherent defects in ceramics will inevitably lead to the decline of strength-plasticity and the reduction of service performance. Introducing preexisting twin boundaries and stacking faults (SFs) or preparing ceramic materials with high configuration entropy has demonstrated to be an effective strategy for enhancing the mechanical properties of ceramics.

A dual-mode fluorescent/colorimetric sensor is presented utilizing Au/ZIF-67 nanocomposites for an ultrasensitive ochratoxin A (OTA) detection. The system employs polydopamine-coated FeO nanoparticles (FeO@MIP) as magnetic recognition elements and aptamer/3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB)-functionalized Au/ZIF-67 nanocomposites (Apt/TMB/Au/ZIF-67) as dual-signal probes for both fluorescence and colorimetric detection. Through molecular imprinting-aptamer synergistic recognition, OTA binding induces the formation of sandwich-structured particles (FeO@MIP-OTA-Apt/TMB/Au/ZIF-67).

Fifty-five chronic insomnia patients were randomized into two groups: an active tDCS group received 10 days of active anode HD-tDCS stimulation, and a sham tDCS group received sham stimulation. A anode stimulation electrode was placed in Fz (10/20 system) which intend to target the bilateral hemisphere DMPFC, and four cathodes were placed at FPz, F3, Cz, and F4 (10/20 system).

This review summarizes recent findings on the role of M2 tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) and their exosome-derived non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) in cancer cell resistance to therapeutics. M2 TAMs promote angiogenesis, suppress immune responses, and facilitate metastasis, thereby creating a tumor-supporting microenvironment. A range of antitumor drugs, including 5-FU, cisplatin, and gemcitabine, are mediated by M2 exosomes, each with distinct mechanisms of action.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to understand the trends of myopia prevalence among children and adolescents in Shihezi, China.
Methods: This was a cross-sectional study using data from 2018 to 2023 from the Vision Surveillance Research Program for Students in Shihezi City. Describe the prevalence of myopia with 95% CIs in 31,265 children and adolescents in urban and rural areas, by sex and age.
This study evaluated the effects of sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) and glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RA) on glycemic control, islet cell function, and insulin resistance in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients with T1-stage renal cell carcinoma (RCC). A retrospective cohort of 175 patients was divided into a control group receiving SGLT2i monotherapy (n = 84) and an observation group receiving combination therapy with SGLT2i and GLP-1RA (n = 91). Propensity score matching (PSM) was employed to balance baseline characteristics, resulting in 35 patients per group.

Background: Cancer stem cells are characterized by self-renewal, clonal tumor initiation capacity, and treatment resistance, which play essential roles in the tumor progression of prostate cancer (PCa). In this study, we aim to explore the features of cancer stemness and characterize the expression of stem cell-related genes for PCa.
Methods: We downloaded RNA-seq data and related clinical information from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database.
This work aimed to develop a fluorescence/colorimetric sensor for the ultrasensitive detection of AFB1 based on the aptamers and molecular imprinted polymers (MIPs). The polydopamine on FeO (FeO@MIP) was used to achieve efficient separation of AFB1. The aptamer-modified carbon dots and metal-organic frameworks (Apt-CDs@MOF) were used to form sandwich particles (FeO@MIP-AFB1-Apt-CDs@MOF).

Periodic poling of ridge waveguide can avoid the selective etching effect of lithium niobate, however, the fabrication of high-quality ferroelectric domain is still a challenge. In this work, we optimized the applied electric field distribution, and rectangular inverted domain structure was obtained in the ridge waveguide which is beneficial for efficient nonlinear frequency conversions.

Treatment for Parkinson's disease (PD) has been impeded by inefficient treatment results and multiple membrane barriers during drug delivery. This study reports the design, synthesis, and application of microneedles (MNs) loaded with mitochondrion-targeted liposome encapsulated iron (Fe)-isolated single-atom nanozymes (Mito@Fe-ISAzyme, MFeI), called MFeI MNs, for in situ drug delivery into the brain parenchyma and efficient enrichment of drugs in lesion sites. In in vitro experiments, MFeI can scavenge reactive oxygen species (ROS) and protect the neurons via mitochondrial targeting, guaranteeing the subsequent treatment of PD.

A dual-mode fluorescence/visual aptasensor was developed for straightforward and accurate determination of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) based on an Au/metal-organic framework (Au/MOF) composite. Aptamer-modified Au/FeO (Apt/Au/FeO) served as the recognition element, and Au/MOF modified with complementary chains and 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (cDNA/TMB/Au/MOF) acted as the fluorescence and visual probes. These components are integrated to form conjugates (Apt/Au/FeO-cDNA/TMB/Au/MOF).
