Objective: Cervical cancer screening through cytology remains the gold standard for early detection, but manual analysis is time-consuming, labor-intensive, and prone to inter-observer variability. This study proposes an automated deep learning-based framework that integrates lesion detection, feature extraction, and classification to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of cytological diagnosis.
Materials And Methods: A dataset of 4,236 cervical cytology samples was collected from six medical centers, with lesion annotations categorized into six diagnostic classes (NILM, ASC-US, ASC-H, LSIL, HSIL, SCC).

The growth of subsolid nodules (SSNs) is a strong predictor of lung adenocarcinoma. However, the heterogeneity in the biological behavior of SSNs poses significant challenges for clinical management. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical utility of deep learning and radiomics approaches in predicting SSN growth based on computed tomography (CT) images.

Comprehensive control of fine particulate matter (PM) and ozone (O) is essential for improving environmental quality. In this study, spatiotemporal pattern mining methods were used to study the spatiotemporal evolution of PM and O in Shandong Province, and Kolmogorov‒Zurbenko (KZ) filtering and stepwise regression methods were integrated to study their influencing factors. The results revealed that (1) from 2014-2023, the PM concentrations in Shandong were high in winter and low in summer, forming a "U"-shaped pattern, and the O concentration showed a seasonal pattern of summer > spring > fall > winter, revealing an inverted "U"-shaped pattern.

Systemic iron overload, which leads to serious complications and affects both patients' quality of life and overall survival, is a common clinical challenge in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). We previously elucidated the direct effects of iron overload on AML cells.

Background: Patients with schizophrenia may lack awareness of the importance of post-tracheotomy care due to the impact of their condition, often showing resistance or misunderstanding of care measures. When coupled with the impact of negative symptoms and the risk of complications after tracheotomy, patients may experience emotional fluctuations, restlessness, anxiety, and hostile behaviors, which pose significant challenges to nursing work.
Case Summary: We have reported the case of an 87-year-old male patient who was admitted to the hospital because of negative symptoms of schizophrenia and who underwent tracheotomy for severe pneumonia.

Background: Stroke is the second leading cause of death globally and the third leading cause of disability, severely impacting quality of life and increasing healthcare costs. Identifying underlying causes is critical for effective management. Oral health is closely linked to stroke occurrence, and tooth loss is a common oral health issue.

Spectrum reconstruction with accurate diffusion coefficients or relaxation time is essential for the Laplace-related NMR experiments, but existing processing methods generally yield varying results because of the ill-posed nature of inverse Laplace transform, making it challenging to assess the accuracy and reliability of estimations without ideal references. To address this, we developed a deep learning-based method that not only recovers parameter distributions from exponential signals with improved accuracy but also provides an uncertainty estimation for each reconstruction result.

Methods: We collected clinical data from patients who underwent DIEP flap breast reconstruction at the Department of Breast, Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Zhengzhou University between December 2019 and December 2023. We analyzed the incidence of postoperative complications and their relationship with patient clinical data and surgical parameters.
Cinnamic acid (CA) is a natural bioactive substance with antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which has potential value as a novel feed additive. This study investigated the effects of CA supplementation on growth performance, carcass characteristics, meat quality, energy metabolism and antioxidant capacity in muscle of Yuedong black pigs. A total of 100 3-month-old Yuedong black pigs with an initial body weight of 35 kg were selected and randomly assigned to two treatment groups: the control group and the 0.

Background: Motoric cognitive risk (MCR) syndrome represents an "ultra-early" stage of dementia prevention, highlighting the need for effective screening tools.
Aim: To develop and validate a novel tool for MCR identification, comparing its effectiveness with existing methods.
Methods: As part of a community study on healthy aging, a cross-sectional study recruited 1189 Chinese participants aged 50 years and older between May 1, 2022, and March 15, 2023.
Background: To examine the impact of a multi-perspective nursing approach using the whole-course Enhanced Recovery After Surgery concept on laparoscopic fundoplicationoutcomes for patients with proton pump inhibitor-dependent gastroesophageal reflux disease.
Methodology: This study was a randomized controlled trial. 98 proton pump inhibitor -dependent gastroesophageal reflux disease patients who underwent aparoscopic fundoplication in our hospital from Jan 2020 to Dec 2022 were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table.

The photochemistry of sulfur dioxide (SO) plays a crucial role in the Earth's atmosphere. In contrast to the well-established photochemistry of free SO, the electronic properties and reactivity of SO complexes with other atmospherically relevant gas molecules are barely known. Herein, we demonstrate that the photochemistry of SO can be dramatically influenced by the first formation of charge-transfer (CT) prereaction complexes through intermolecular chalcogen bonds.

Primary adrenal extranodal natural killer (NK)/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTL) is exceptionally rare, and it remains unclear whether this subtype of ENKTL exhibits distinct clinicopathological features. This case report describes a later 30s female patient who presented with 6 months of back pain. 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) revealed a hypermetabolic left adrenal mass.

Neuroimmune signals can regulate neuronal function and affect behavior through mechanisms that are not yet fully understood. Here we investigated the action of interleukin 13 (IL-13), a cytokine that can be produced in the brain by both microglia and neurons. We show that dopamine-containing neurons in the ventral tegmental area (VTA) predominantly express the IL-13 receptor alpha 1 (IL-13Rα1) and exhibit presynaptic vesicular localization of neuronal IL-13.

Clozapine remains the most effective treatment for schizophrenia unresponsive to other antipsychotics and demonstrates superior efficacy for positive and negative symptoms compared to risperidone and olanzapine. However, the common and distinct molecular targets underlying these different clinical responses to KarXT and clozapine are not fully understood.

Economic insecurity was experimentally manipulated in a laboratory setting, and participants' risk preference was subsequently assessed using the Balloon Analogue Risk Task (BART). Participants completed the BART under either a gain frame, where inflating a virtual balloon increased potential monetary gains (Experiment 1), or a loss frame, where ballon inflation was necessary to avoid monetary loss (Experiment 2).
