Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, of which 35-40% suffers recurrence after standard chemotherapy treatment. Disulfidptosis is a novel mode of cell death, which has been found to be associated with tumor environment and prognosis in several tumors. Here, we applied transcriptome profile data of 30 types of tumors, somatic mutation data, and scRNA-seq data of DLBCL patients for analysis.

Oncolytic viruses (OVs), a kind of emerging therapeutics for treating tumors, are characterized by high replication efficiency, superior killing effects, and few adverse reactions, which have shown great application prospects in preclinical tumor treatment trials. To overcome the limitations of OV monotherapy, recent studies have found that combination therapy with other anti-tumor therapeutics, especially with immunotherapy, yields promising outcomes in tumor eradication. Due to the advancements in genetic engineering, the combination of OVs with novel immunotherapy, including cellular immunotherapy, adoptive cellular immunotherapy, immune checkpoint inhibitors, cancer vaccines, cytokines, and bi- or tri-specific T cell engagers, has greatly improved clinical outcomes and quality of life of tumor patients.

Sperm flagellum defects are tightly associated with male infertility. Centriolar satellites are small multiprotein complexes that recruit satellite proteins to the centrosome and play an essential role in sperm flagellum biogenesis, but the precise mechanisms underlying this role remain unclear. (), which encodes a protein containing eight coiled-coil (CC) domains, has been associated with syndromic ciliopathies and male infertility.

Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) - induced progressive hair loss is a worldwide phenomenon primarily attributed to excessive dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and reactive oxygen species (ROS) within hair follicles. This leads to follicle atrophy and eventual loss, posing a significant challenge for hair regeneration in affected individuals. Herein, we designed a bifunctional sodium hyaluronate microneedle patch as an in situ medical intervention, incorporating glycyrrhizin-loaded dutasteride (GL-DUT) micelles as the 5α-reductase inhibitor to reduce DHT levels and mesoporous polydopamine nanoparticles (MPDA NPs) as the ROS scavenger.

Damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) can cause platelet activation and coagulation system dysfunction. It is often released by broken cell membranes after cell death. The oligomerization of ninjurin-1 (NINJ1) is closely associated with platelet plasma membrane rupture, but whether it actually prevents the release of platelet DAMPs is unclear.

Background: Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is both genetically and phenotypically heterogeneous, yet precise treatment strategies are insufficient. Magnolin, a natural compound derived from the Magnolia plant, has been clinically used for its anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory, antihypertensive, and antibacterial effects. Recent studies have shown its promising therapeutic effects in tumor treatment.

Background: To examine the progression-free survival from disease worsening after the implementation of routine screening for psychological problems in hospitalized patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs) during a long-term follow-up.

Methods: The retrospective cohort study enrolled 1265 patients with active IBDs. Their records were stratified into screening cohort (n = 827), receiving screening for psychological problems within 48 h after admission, and a 2:1 propensity score matching was utilized to match cases without screening as controls (n = 438).

Neuromorphic computing, inspired by the brain's energy-efficient parallelism processing, offers a transformative alternative to overcome von Neumann bottlenecks. A critical challenge is to replicate the dynamic plasticity of biological synapses using artificial transistor devices capable of nonvolatile, stimulus-tunable charge transport. Existing synaptic transistors mainly rely on mechanisms such as ion migration, ferroelectric switching, floating gate coupling or charge trapping, yet these approaches are inherently constrained by issues like ionic diffusion, polarization fatigue, and charge leakage─that degrade reliability and memory retention.

We describe a 68-year-old man who had prostate cancer (PCa) diagnosed with breast metastasis, presenting as a breast mass. Seven years ago, the patient had PCa with bone metastasis and had been systematically receiving endocrine therapy for prostate cancer and osteoprotective treatment since the diagnosis. In October 2023, the patient visited our hospital due to bilateral breast masses for four days.

The complexation of Tartary buckwheat starch with flavonoids facilitates the preparation of resistant starch. However, the research on the formation mechanism of Tartary buckwheat starch-flavonoid complexes under various treatment methods remains limited. In this study, we investigated the effects of high hydrostatic pressure treatment and heat treatment on Tartary buckwheat starch-flavonoid complexes (BSF), and explored the binding mechanisms between Tartary buckwheat starch (TBS) and flavonoids.

Background: Infectious diseases that require tissue biopsy are usually more difficult to diagnose through conventional microbiological tests (CMT), and knowledge of the infection microbiota pattern from biopsied tissues remains incomplete. Our study aimed to investigate the diagnostic and prognostic value of metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS), characterize the microbiota profile from biopsied tissues, and examine its relationship with clinical outcomes.

Methods: This retrospective cohort study included 110 patients who underwent tissue biopsy and sent both mNGS and CMT due to suspected complex infection.

Traditional tomato-braised beef brisket with potatoes is celebrated for its rich, complex flavors and culinary appeal but requires lengthy preparation. Pre-packaged versions of the dish rely on thermal sterilization for safety; however, high-temperature processing accelerates protein and lipid oxidation, thereby compromising its sensory quality. As the demand for ready-to-eat meals grows, the food industry faces the challenge of ensuring microbial safety while preserving flavor integrity.

Understanding the electrical double layer (EDL) at solid-liquid interfaces is pivotal across various fields, including energy storage, electrowetting, and electrocatalysis, yet probing its structure and heterogeneity remains a considerable challenge. Here, we report an optical method for the direct visualization and quantification of the zeta potential (ζ) across the interfaces between 2D materials and aqueous solutions. By modulating surface charge density, we map the heterogenous distribution of ζ potential across the MoS nanosheet interface, revealing how both external factors and intrinsic material properties shape interfacial charge.

Primary gastrointestinal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (PGI-DLBCL) is the most common extra-nodal DLBCL. Metabolism-related factors have been associated with tumor progression, but the relationship between abnormal metabolism and prognosis of PGI-DLBCL remains unelucidated. In our study, consensus clustering based on metabolism-related genes classified PGI-DLBCL patients into two metabolic subtypes, and poor prognosis was associated with immunosuppressive microenvironment.
