Cerebrovascular ageing is a complex process characterized with increased vessel stiffness, decreased sensitivity to vasodilators and vasoconstrictors, and reduced angiogenesis, which is mediated via time-dependent manner. The triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index, calculated by ln[fasting triglycerides (TG) (mg/dl) × fasting blood glucose (FBG) (mg/dl)/2], has recently been evidenced as a reliable surrogate of insulin resistance (IR). Currently extensive studies provide robust statistical evidence of the predictability of the TyG index in the development and prognosis of ageing-related cerebrovascular diseases.

The role of mitochondrial function in ovarian cancer (OC) progression has garnered substantial attention, yet its precise molecular mechanisms remain elusive. Mitochondrial ribosomal protein L13 (MRPL13), involved in the translation of oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) complex subunits, plays a critical role in regulating mitochondrial function.

The relationship between the PNI and postoperative quality of life (QOL) in patients with esophageal cancer (EC) has not been examined. This study sought to examine the effects of the PNI on the postoperative patient-reported outcomes (PROs) of patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC).

Streptococcus gallolyticus (Sg), a gut commensal and opportunistic pathogen, is associated with CRC. This study investigates the impact of the supernatant derived from Sg cultures (hereafter referred to as Sgsup) on CRC progression and examines the underlying mechanisms.

Methods: This retrospective study analyzed clinical data of 284 patients with AIS who underwent MT. Patients were divided into a good prognosis group modified Rankin Scale ([MRS] score ≤2) and a poor prognosis group ([modified Rankin Scale] score >2) based on their outcomes 90 days post-MT.
Backgrounds: The primary controversy surrounding the treatment of anterior disc displacement (ADD) of temporomandibular joints (TMJ) stems from the unclear relationship between disc position and condylar adaptation. The long-term impact of varying disc position on condylar bone remodeling remains poorly understood.
Methods: A randomized controlled clinical trial was conducted to evaluate the effects of different disc positions on condylar bone modeling/remodeling at baseline (T0) and after an 18-month-follow-up (T1).
Background: The triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index is associated with various cerebrovascular diseases. However, the association between the TyG index and the instability (growth or rupture) of unruptured intracranial aneurysms (UIAs) remains underexplored.
Methods: This multicenter retrospective analysis used data from 2 prospective Chinese cohorts with UIAs.
Background: Breakage and displacement of the high-speed dental handpiece bur is one of the intraoperative complications during mandibular third molar extraction. The retained metallic fragments can trigger issues such as pain and infection. Traditional retrieval methods require extensive tissue dissection, increasing the risk of nerve injury and postoperative complications.

Moreover, we tried to elaborate the potential mechanism of p75NTR's effect on the odontogenic or osteogenic differentiation ability of neural crest cells (s).
Methods: We used gene p75NTR knockout (p75NTR) mice and wildtype (p75NTR) mice embryos as a model.
To assess the modulation of on aroma compounds, non-volatile metabolites, and their potential correlation in Sichuan-style sausage, in this study, an isolated strain was used as starter cultures to prepare Sichuan-style sausages at different inoculum levels (10, 10, and 10 CFU/g). The results showed that fermented sausages exhibited reduced total plate counts and stronger antioxidant activity compared to control sausage. UHPLC-MS/MS metabolomics identified 1047 metabolites, of which 930 were characterized.

Previous studies have shown that an aberrant CAR is associated with stress-related disorders. However, there is a lack of prospective longitudinal studies examining whether individual differences in the CAR can predict daily stress reactivity.

The association of TyG index and postoperative outcome of SSICH patients hasn't been extensively studied. This study aimed to investigate whether the high TyG index was associated with increased risk of poor outcomes in SSICH patients.

However, the development of an ideal hydrogel that possesses excellent mechanical properties, effective self-healing capabilities, tissue adherence and antimicrobial characteristics for wound dressing presents a significant challenge in clinical settings. Inspired by lotus-fiber and mussel, we synthesized a novel multifunctional hydrogel composed of bacterial cellulose-reinforced dopamine-grafted oxidized hyaluronic acid/polyacrylamide (OHA-DA/PAM/BC).

In this paper, a 3D gray image of a shrinkage pore-developed sandy conglomerate sample is obtained with micro-CT scanning, the maximum class spacing algorithm is used for binarization segmentation to construct the 3D shrinkage pore digital rock, and the corresponding shrinkage pore network model is extracted through the maximum ball algorithm. By applying the shrinkage pore network model, different formation lower limit RT values are set to eliminate the pores and throats below the lower limit value, and the corresponding shrinkage pore network model is built to calculate the physical parameters.

Epithelial ovarian cancer, the most prevalent form of ovarian cancer, is a health concern worldwide. Phosphoserine aminotransferase 1 (PSAT1), as the rate‑limiting enzyme in serine synthesis, is key in the conversion of 3‑phosphoglycerate to serine. The present study explored the role of PSAT1 expression in epithelial ovarian tumors.
