Importance: Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps causes severe symptoms and impaired quality of life. Stapokibart is a novel monoclonal antibody that targets interleukin 4Rα.

Objective: To assess the efficacy and safety of stapokibart as an add-on treatment to intranasal corticosteroids in patients with severe uncontrolled chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps.

Bioinformatics analysis of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma based on the high infection rate of HPV in Northwest China.

Background: An increasing number of studies have demonstrated that human papillomavirus (HPV) plays a crucial role in the occurrence and development of laryngeal cancer. The present study aims to identify the differentially expressed genes and pathways in HPV-positive and HPV-negative laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) cells for the diagnosis and treatment of HPV-related LSCC, and to determine the prevalence rate of HPV in laryngeal cancer in Northwest China.

Methods: PCR-reverse dot blot was used to detect HPV genotypes in 115 LSCC patients' paraffin sections from Jan 2022 to Jun 2024.

[Analysis of auditory-vestibular function and inner ear imaging features at different stages of Meniere's disease].

To explore of auditory-vestibular function and inner ear imaging features of patients with Meniere's disease（MD） at different clinical stages. The clinical data of 110 patients with unilateral MD who were admitted from January 2023 to March 2024 were collected, and all patients were staged according to the results of pure tone hearing threshold test, including 13 patients with stage Ⅰ, 18 cases with stage Ⅱ, 65 cases with stage Ⅲ, and 14 cases with stage Ⅳ. All patients were tested for vestibular function, including caloric tests, vestibular evoked myogenic potentials（VEMPs）, vHIT and sensory integration tests（SOT）.

Characteristics of juvenile-onset recurrent respiratory papillomatosis in China, 2011-2021: A hospital-based nationwide study.

Objectives: To assess the demographic and clinical characteristics, treatment and health outcome, and economic burden of juvenile-onset recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (JoRRP) in China.

Methods: We identified twelve hospitals mainly responsible for JoRRP management across China to enroll patients presenting for JoRRP between Jan 1, 2011, and Dec 31, 2021. Data were primarily extracted from medical records, and missing values were additionally collected through telephone or outpatient interviews by two researchers independently.

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and olfactory dysfunction have a reciprocal relationship, where each condition exacerbates the other. This review aims to systematically explore the key mechanisms underlying the association between OSA and olfactory impairment, offering a detailed analysis of these interrelated phenomena. A comprehensive literature search was conducted on PubMed/MEDLINE in October 2024, focusing on studies published in the last decade that investigate the link between OSA and olfactory dysfunction.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Yuping Tongqiao Tablets is a classic traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula commonly employed in China for managing various ailments, especially allergic conditions. Clinical reports indicate its potential as an effective treatment for persistent allergic rhinitis. Nevertheless, there remains a dearth of placebo-controlled studies to definitively establish its safety and efficacy.

[Clinical analysis of 78 cases of refractory pharyngeal ulcers].

To explore the clinical characteristics, treatment methods, and prognosis of refractory pharyngeal ulcers. A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical manifestations, laryngoscopic features, laboratory tests, histopathological examinations, and treatments of 78 patients diagnosed with refractory pharyngeal ulcers. There was no significant difference in the proportion of males-to-females in benign lesions, while males were significantly more prevalent in cases of malignant lesions.

[Expert consensus on the application of nasal cavity filling substances in nasal surgery patients（2025, Shanghai）].

This consensus will introduce the characteristics of fillers used in the surgical cavities of domestic nasal surgery patients based on relevant literature and expert opinions. It will also provide recommendations for the selection of cavity fillers for different nasal diseases, with chronic sinusitis as a representative example.

Emerging biologics that selectively target key cytokines present a promising therapeutic alternative for patients suffering from severe, uncontrollable chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). Despite the limited availability of registered biologics for CRSwNP treatment in China, the country is experiencing rapid development in this field. It is imperative to standardize the application of biologic agents in CRSwNP management in preparation for their future integration into the CRSwNP care pathway.

LOC730101 exhibits significant overexpression in human LSCC tissues, and elevated LOC730101 levels correlate with malignant clinicopathological characteristics.

Risk factors and healing factors for pharyngocutaneous fistula after total laryngectomy for laryngeal cancer: An epidemiological study.

To analyse the risk factors and healing factors of pharyngocutaneous fistula (PCF) in patients with laryngeal cancer after total laryngectomy, and to explore the relevant epidemiology. A retrospective analysis was conducted on laryngeal cancer patients who underwent total laryngectomy in our hospital from January 2010 to December 2022. The 349 patients included in the study were divided into a PCF group of 79 and a non-PCF group of 270.

Efficacy and safety of stapokibart (CM310) in uncontrolled seasonal allergic rhinitis (MERAK): an investigator-initiated, placebo-controlled, randomised, double-blind, phase 2 trial.

Background: There is no trial to assess the benefits of periodically using biologics during the pollen season in patients with uncontrolled seasonal allergic rhinitis (SAR), who have moderate-to-severe symptoms even after standard-of-care. This trial aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the add-on administration of stapokibart, a humanised monoclonal antibody that targets interleukin-4 receptor alpha, in patients with uncontrolled SAR.

Methods: In this investigator-initiated, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, eligible patients received either stapokibart 600-300 mg weekly (QW), every 2 weeks (Q2W), or placebo QW for 4 weeks.

Kinesin Family Member C1 Overexpression Exerts Tumor-Promoting Properties in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma via the Rac1/Wnt/β-catenin Pathway.

Kinesin family member C1 (KIFC1) is a kinesin-14 motor protein, and its abnormal upregulation promotes the malignant behavior of cancer cells. N6-methyladenosine (m6A) RNA methylation is a common modification of eukaryotic messenger RNA and affects RNA expression. In this study, we explored how KIFC1 regulated head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) tumorigenesis and how m6A modification affected KIFC1 expression.

[Curative effect analysis of radical endoscopic sinus surgery for eosinophilic chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps].

To evaluate the efficacy of functional endoscopic sinus surgery（FESS） and radical endoscopic sinus surgery（RESS） in eosinophilic chronic sinusitis with nasal polyps（EosCRSwNP）. A total of 44 patients diagnosed with EosCRSwNP in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Henan Provincial People's Hospital from July 1st, 2020 to August 1st, 2021 were included, the percentage of eosinophils in leukocytes in all patients included was more than 3.05%.

Increased diagnostic yield in a cohort of hearing loss families using a comprehensive stepwise strategy of molecular testing.

Hearing loss is one of the most common sensory disorders in humans. This study proposes a stepwise strategy of deafness gene detection using multiplex PCR combined with high-throughput sequencing, Sanger sequencing, multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification (MLPA), and whole-exome sequencing (WES) to explore its application in molecular diagnosis of hearing loss families. A total of 152 families with hearing loss were included in this study, the highest overall diagnosis rate was 73% (111/152).

To explore the clinical significance of orofacial myofunctional therapy combined with muscle functional appliance in postoperative rehabilitation of children with OSA. Sixty children were diagnosed as moderate-to-severe OSA with AHI≥5 and underwent adenoid and/or tonsillar surgery. Children were divided into two groups based on whether they were willing to receive orofacial myofunctional therapy and muscle functional appliance after surgery.

Laryngeal squamous cell cancer (LSCC) is one of the most common malignant tumors in head and neck tumors. Our previous study has revealed that hsa_circ_0006232 is abnormally expressed in LSCC. This study attempts to verify the biological role of hsa_circ_0006232 in LSCC.

Hsa_circ_0042823 accelerates cancer progression miR-877-5p/FOXM1 axis in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.

Background: Laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) is a common malignant tumour of the head and neck. Our previous study reveals that the circular RNA (circRNA) hsa_circ_0042823 is abnormally expressed in LSCC, suggesting that hsa_circ_0042823 is closely associated with LSCC. Here, we attempted to explore the molecular mechanism of hsa_circ_0042823 in LSCC.

[Genotype and clinical phenotype analysis of 42 patients with delayed nonsyndromic hearing loss].

The aim of this study is to analyze the mutation characteristics of GJB2 and SLC26A4 gene in patients with delayed non-syndromic hearing loss, which is beneficial to the early detection and intervention of delayed deafness. Sanger sequencing technology was used to detect two common genes in 139 patients with non-syndromic deafness, six hot spot mutations in GJB2 gene and SLC26A4 gene, and single heterozygous mutations found in GJB2 gene and SLC26A4 gene were detected by whole exome sequencing. Among the 25 patients with deafness caused by GJB2 gene mutation, 12 of them passed universal newborn hearing screening and then developed delayed extremely severe hearing loss.

[Analysis of clinical characteristics of 87 patients with cochlear migraine].

The aim of this study is to analyze the clinical features of cochlear migraine. The clinical data of cases of cochlear migraine were collected, and the clinical symptoms and hearing examination results were analyzed. The ratio of male to female patients with cochlear migraine was 1∶3.

An epidemiological survey of laryngopharyngeal reflux disease at the otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery clinics in China.

Purpose: Using the Reflux Symptom Index (RSI), this nationwide study aimed to investigate the incidence, diagnostic status, risk factors, and common symptoms of adult laryngopharyngeal reflux disease (LPRD) at otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery (OHNS) clinics in China.

Methods: This multicenter cross-sectional survey began at the different institutions ranged from July to October 2017, and the duration was 12 months. A total of 90,440 eligible patients were finally enrolled from 72 medical institutions in China.
