Background: Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) , an aggressive cancer often detected late, carries a grim prognosis. 2',4'-Dihydroxychalcone (2',4'-DHC), a flavonoid monomer isolated from Empetrum nigrum, has demonstrated notable anti-tumor activity in multiple cancer types. However, its therapeutic mechanism in cholangiocarcinoma remains poorly understood, especially regarding the regulation of ferroptosis, a mechanism that has not yet been fully elucidated in this disease.

Objective: To study clinicopathological features and differential diagnosis of hyalinizing clear cell carcinoma in the head and neck.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed patients with hyalinizing clear cell carcinoma in the head and neck, who underwent surgical resection in Beijing Tongren Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University from January 2014 to May 2024. The clinical features of HCCC were analyzed by computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging.
Sebaceous gland carcinoma (SGC) and some poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinomas (SC) of the eyelid may have overlapping clinical and histopathologic features, leading to potential misdiagnosis and delayed treatment. The authors developed a deep learning (DL)-based pathological analysis framework to classify SGC and SC automatically. In total, 282 whole slide images (WSIs) were used for training, validating and inner testing the DL framework and 36 WSIs were obtained from another hospital as an external testing dataset.

Background: Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT) in the nasal cavity and sinuses is rare and has special clinical and pathological characteristics with poor prognosis. This study aimed to investigate the clinicopathological and molecular features of primary IMT in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses.
Methods: The clinical features, histopathological findings, immunohistochemical findings and results of molecular genetic examination were retrospectively analyzed in 25 patients who were diagnosed with IMT in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses.
Allergic fungal rhinosinusitis (AFRS) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the sinuses that can involve serious late complications; thus, prompt diagnosis is essential to determine the appropriate treatment. The most important diagnostic element of AFRS is the detection of noninvasive fungi within eosinophilic mucin. However, the rarity of fungal hyphae in ARFS makes it difficult to specifically identify them using histochemical staining alone.

Introduction: Cervical cancer is one of the most prevalent malignant tumors affecting women worldwide, and affected patients often face a poor prognosis due to its high drug resistance and recurrence rates. β-lapachone, a quinone compound originally extracted from natural plants, is an antitumor agent that specifically targets NQO1.
Methods: CC cells were treated with varying concentrations of β-lapachone to examine its effects on glucose metabolism, proliferation, metastasis, angiogenesis, and EMT .

Background: Anti-IL-4 receptor subunit alpha (IL-4Rα) treatments can effectively treat eosinophilic chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (ECRSwNP). However, their impact on the overall population of patients with uncontrolled CRSwNP remains unclear.
Objectives: We evaluated the safety and efficacy of GR1802, a novel anti-IL-4Rα monoclonal antibody, in patients with uncontrolled CRSwNP.

Objective To investigate the effect of baicalein (BAI) on autophagy of gastric cancer cell line BGC-823 cells by upregulating microRNA-7-5p (miR-7) and its possible mechanism. Methods The MTT method was used to screen the optimal drug concentration of BGC-823 cells treated with BAI. Real-time quantitative PCR was used to detect the transfection efficiency of BGC-823 cell line stably transfected with miR-7.

CRME is often used as Chinese materia medica preparation for rheumatoid arthritis, traumatic injury, irregular menstruation, abdominal pain, and hypertension treatment. Since gastric cancer (GC) existed as a health problem of human over the years, we are committed to the development of potential components of Chinese herbal medicine curing cancer, and we found CRME is expected to be one of the effective anti-tumor traditional Chinese medicine preparations.

Background: The existing body of scientific literature offers inconclusive findings on the safety and therapeutic effectiveness of etrolizumab (ETR) for the treatment of ulcerative colitis (UC).
Objectives: The goal of this meta-analysis is to furnish a comprehensive synthesis of evidence that evaluates the safety and therapeutic effects of ETR in the management of UC.
Design: Meta-analysis.
Background: To date, an effective means to preoperatively predict the malignant transformation of sinonasal inverted papilloma (SIP) remains lacking due to similarities in clinical appearance. This study aimed to retrospectively evaluate dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) parameters and microvessel structure in tumors with histologically confirmed SIP and inverted papilloma-associated squamous cell carcinoma (IP-SCC), as well as correlate DCE-MRI findings with angiogenesis biomarkers.
Methods: Absolute quantitative DCE-MRI parameters (K, K, V) based on the Tofts model and model-free semi-quantitative indices (T, WR, MaxSlope) of SIP (n = 22) and IP-SCC (n = 20) were investigated.
Objective: Recent studies have suggested that insulinoma-associated protein 1 (INSM1) is a useful marker for pathological diagnosis of neuroendocrine tumors. In the present study, we investigated the association between INSM1 expression and prognosis in patients with olfactory neuroblastoma (ONB) and assessed the usefulness of INSM1 as a prognostic biomarker in these patients.
Method: Immunohistochemistry was performed on 109 ONB patients who underwent endoscopic surgery at Beijing Tong Ren Hospital (Beijing, China) between June 2006 and November 2021 Patient age at the time of surgery ranged from 10 months to 72 years (mean age, 43.

Background: Extranodal natural killer (NK)/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTCL) is an aggressive lymphoma with marked heterogeneity, resulting in a distinct prognosis even in patients with the same disease stage. The nomogram-revised risk index (NRI) has been proposed to stratify patients with ENKTCL. Numerous reports have revealed the prognostic role of serum ferritin in various cancers.

Methods: This retrospective study included 115 newly diagnosed patients with WR-DLBCL, of whom 68 patients received R-CHOP, and 47 patients received DA-EPOCH-R as their first-line treatment. The baseline features of the two groups were well balanced using a 1:1 propensity score matching method, and a total of 84 cases were obtained, including respective 42 cases in the R-CHOP and DA-EPOCH-R groups, for further survival and prognosis analysis.

Objectives: Patients with eosinophilic chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (eosCRSwNP) usually have more extensive sinus disease, severe symptoms, and poorer disease control compared with patients with non-eosCRSwNP. Separating these entities will be crucial for patient management. The purpose of this study is to investigate T 1, T 2 , and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values of the nasal polyps in patients with CRSwNP and evaluate the usefulness of these parameters for differentiating these diseases.
