Overcoming the catalytic activity-stability trade-off remains a critical challenge for advanced oxidation processes (AOPs). Here, we fabricate an electrified chainmail membrane, composed of copper nanowires encapsulated by reduced graphene oxide (CuNW@rGO), exhibiting both high catalytic activity and long-term stability. The electrified CuNW@rGO membrane/peroxymonosulfate (PMS) system efficiently degrades various water contaminants, including dyes, pharmaceuticals, and phenolics (73-98%).

Metal phthalocyanines are considered as potent catalysts in lithium-sulfur (Li-S) chemistry. However, their adsorption capability is deficient to inhibit polysulfides from shuttling, which in turn retards the S-redox reaction in the cathode. Here we report flexible, two-dimensional (2D) polyphthalocyanine-crown-ether (PPc-CE) frameworks that provide a supramolecularly confined space created with the single-atom catalytic nickel phthalocyanine nodes and crown-ether linkers as Li host.

Heterogeneous persulfate-based advanced oxidation processes (PS-AOPs) have been gaining significant attention in water/wastewater treatment; however, the elucidation of mechanisms in PS-AOPs has become increasingly complex as the understanding of potential reactive pathways expands and the rigor of corresponding characterizations intensifies. As such, accurately illustrating system mechanisms with a robust and convincing methodology is crucial, while the influence of substrates must not be overlooked. In this Perspective, established techniques and critical issues are systematically compiled to serve as practical guidelines.

Purpose: Previous studies have shown that the planning scope of sentence production is flexible and influenced by a range of linguistic and extralinguistic factors. However, one important aspect that remains underexplored is the role of prosody, a key component of language, in shaping the planning scope. While it has been established that both conceptual and grammatical information influence sentence production and conceptual information is closely linked with prosodic cues, it remains unclear whether and how prosody, particularly accentuation, affects the planning process.

Introduction: While considerable research in language production has focused on incremental processing during conceptual and grammatical encoding, prosodic encoding remains less investigated. This study examines whether focus and accentuation processing in speech production follows linear or hierarchical incrementality.

Methods: We employed visual world eye-tracking to investigate how focus and accentuation are processed during sentence production.

Objectives: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have demonstrated potential in inhibiting the growth of malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM), and their efficacy is associated with the expression of programmed death-ligand 1(PD-L1). This study evaluated a PD-L1-targeted nanoprobe for detecting PD-L1 expression in a nude mouse model of malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM).

Methods: A PD-L1-binding peptide (WL-12) was conjugated with superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs) to create the nanoprobe WL-12@Fe₃O₄.

The meticulous design of advanced electrocatalysts and their integration into gas diffusion electrode (GDE) architectures is emerging as a prominent research paradigm in the HO electrosynthesis community. However, it remains perplexing that electrocatalysts and assembled GDE frequently exhibit substantial discrepancies in HO selectivity during bulk electrolysis. Here, we elucidate the pivotal role of mass transfer behavior of key species (including reactants and products) beyond the intrinsic properties of the electrocatalyst in dictating electrode-scale HO selectivity.

The performance of Li-ion batteries (LIBs) at sub-ambient temperatures is limited by the resistive interphases due to electrolyte decomposition, particularly on the anode surface. In this study, lithium fluorosulfonate (LFS) was added to commercial electrolytes to enhance the low-temperature electrochemical performance of LiFePO (LFP)/graphite (Gr) pouch cells. The addition of LFS significantly reduced the charge transfer resistance of the anode, substantially extending the cycle life and discharge capacity of commercial LFP/Gr pouch cells at -10 and -30 °C.

Adoption of clean electric energy depends not only on administrative regulations, but also on public support, in particular, the public is willing to pay for environmental improvements. However, the increase of solar photovoltaic power generation willingness to pay (WTP) associated with higher education attainment and the identification of their causality has been missing. Present paper used the enactment of the Compulsory Schooling Law as an instrumental variable to solve the causal relationship between education and willingness to pay for photovoltaic power generation.
