Introduction: Henoch-Schönlein Purpura (HSP) is a systemic vessel vasculitis characterized by IgA- and complement-mediated vascular injuries. However, the precise mechanisms underlying disease progression and severity remain unclear. This study aimed to identify inflammation-related proteins and pathways associated with HSP and disease severity.

To evaluate the feasibility of extending dosing interval of stapokibart based on efficacy response in AD. In this ongoing, multicenter, open-label, single-arm trial (NCT06116565), stapokibart 300 mg was administered subcutaneously every 2 weeks (Q2W) for 12 weeks, followed by dosing interval adjustments at weeks 12 and 36.

Whether a new modified oblique retractor can improve the field of view during oblique lumbar interbody fusion (OLIF) surgery and thus shorten the surgical time and reduce blood loss needs to be evaluated. A total of 64 patients who were diagnosed with L4‒5 segment lumbar spondylolisthesis, lumbar spinal stenosis, or lumbar disc herniation and who underwent OLIF surgery in our hospital between January 2023 and December 2023 were retrospectively enrolled.

However, the involvement of M2 macrophages in mediating NP pathological angiogenesis and their underlying mechanisms remain unclear.
Methods: Firstly, the expression of M2 macrophage (CD206) and microangiogenic (CD34) markers in human degenerated NP was observed by immunohistochemical staining, subsequently, a co-culture system of M2 macrophages and NP cells was established.

Antibiotic resistance is emerging as a significant global health crisis, necessitating the urgent development of novel antibiotics or alternative therapies. Although it is recognized that bacteria require multiple mutations to develop resistance levels exceeding the mutant prevention concentration, the specific mutation combinations conferring high resistance have been largely undefined. Here, we investigated the multi-step evolution of fluoroquinolone resistance in through experimental evolution and whole-genome sequencing coupled with proteomic approaches.

This review synthesizes recent findings to provide a comprehensive understanding of the LC-NE system, highlighting its molecular diversity, neurophysiological properties, and role in various brain functions. We discuss the heterogeneity of LC neurons, their differential responses to sensory stimuli, and the impact of NE on cognitive processes such as attention and memory.

During the metamorphosis of anuran amphibians, the tail resorption process is a necessary and crucial change. One subject that has received relatively little or no attention is the expression patterns of proteins and metabolites in the different tail portions during metamorphosis, especially in highland amphibians. The mechanisms of tail resorption in three portions (the tip, middle and root) of the tail were investigated in G43 tadpole based on two omics (proteomic and metabolomic).

Microvascular invasion and growth into the nucleus pulposus (NP) and cartilaginous endplates are unfavorable factors that trigger IDD. In contrast, the rich distribution of microvessels in the bony endplates and outer layers of the annulus fibrosus is an important safeguard for the nutrient supply and metabolism of the intervertebral disk (IVD).

Whether navigation robots can improve the efficacy and safety of screw placement is controversial. Thirty-eight patients who underwent oblique lateral lumbar interbody fusion internal fixation from March 2022 to May 2023 were retrospectively analyzed, 16 cases in the navigational robot group and 22 cases in the fluoroscopy group.

Soil microbes are crucial in shaping the root-associated microbial communities. In this study, we analyzed the effect of the soil-root niche gradient on the diversity, composition, and assembly of the bacterial community and co-occurrence network of two cotton varieties. The results revealed that the bacterial communities in cotton soil-root compartment niches exhibited a skewed species abundance distribution, dominated by abundant taxa showing a strong spatial specificity.

Overexpression of the transcription factor LIM-domain only protein 4 (LMO4) promoted by IL-23 has critical roles in regulating the proliferation and differentiation of psoriatic keratinocytes. IL-6, an autocrine cytokine in psoriatic epidermis, is a key mediator of IL-23/T helper 17-driven cutaneous inflammation.

The transcription factor LIM-only protein 4 (LMO4) is overexpressed in the psoriatic epidermis and regulates keratinocyte proliferation and differentiation. High LMO4 expression levels are induced by interleukin-23 (IL-23) to activate the AKT/STAT3 signaling pathway. Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is mainly involved in regulating T cell functions and development in patients with psoriasis.

Type II toxin-antitoxin systems are highly prevalent in bacterial genomes and play crucial roles in the general stress response. Previously, we demonstrated that the type II antitoxin PfMqsA regulates biofilm formation through the global regulator AgtR in . Here, we found that both the C-terminal DNA-binding domain of PfMqsA and AgtR are involved in bacterial antibiotic susceptibility.
