Herein, this study proposes a local high-concentration electrolyte (LHCE) based on donor number (DN) modulation, which achieves stable dissolution of LiNO and an anion-enhanced solvation structure through the synergistic action of a high DN solvent (tetraglyme, G4) and an ultra-low DN diluent (1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl-2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropyl ether, TTE).

Exploring the rarity: insights into primary diffuse large B-cell lymphoma of the prostate from a global retrospective analysis.

Background: The purpose of this study is to comprehensively analyze cases of primary diffuse large B-cell lymphoma of the prostate (P-DLBCL-P) from a global perspective, aiming to understand the disease's characteristics, treatment responses, and outcomes. By doing so, we seek to establish a valuable reference for the clinical management of this rare malignancy.

Materials And Methods: This study conducted a retrospective review of P-DLBCL-P cases reported worldwide, using various online databases, including PubMed, Scopus, and other English databases, as well as WanFang Data and China National Knowledge Infrastructure in Chinese, collecting clinical pathology information, treatment modalities, and prognosis of patients, and conducted survival analysis using the Kaplan-Meier method.

Machine Learning-Based Identification of Survival-Associated CpG Biomarkers in Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is an exceptionally aggressive cancer with a 5-year survival rate of less than 10%, driven by late-stage diagnosis, limited treatment options, and a lack of reliable biomarkers for early detection and prognosis. In this study, we integrated DNA methylation data from TCGA and ICGC cohorts, categorizing samples based on survival time, and identified 684 differentially methylated CpG sites, along with 224 CpG biomarkers significantly associated with patient survival through statistical and machine learning-based analyses. We developed a random forest model to predict patient survival, achieving 85.

We have developed a comprehensive cancer functional proteomics resource using reverse phase protein arrays, incorporating data from nearly 8000 patient samples from The Cancer Genome Atlas and approximately 900 samples from the Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia. Our dataset includes a curated panel of  nearly 500 high-quality antibodies, covering all major cancer hallmark pathways.

Object naming after epilepsy surgery in the dominant left temporal lobe: risk factors, time course and long-term outcome.

Background: Deterioration in naming function is a common sequelae after epilepsy surgery in the language-dominant temporal lobe but information on recovery and long-term outcome is scarce. We, therefore, assessed short-term and long-term outcome of object naming in patients undergoing surgery in the temporal lobe and determined factors affecting deterioration and recovery of naming function.

Method: Object naming (Boston naming test) before surgery, at early follow-up (FU, 6-12 months) and late FU (≥2 years) was assessed in people with epilepsy (PWE) undergoing resections in the language-dominant left and non-dominant right temporal lobe.

Identification and characterization of a novel bacteriocin PCM7-4 and its antimicrobial activity against Listeria monocytogenes.

Listeria monocytogenes, a pathogenic bacterium causing zoonotic diseases, necessitates the urgent search for novel anti-Listeria monocytogenes drugs due to the continuous emergence of drug-resistant bacteria. In this study, we isolated and identified a bacteriocin-producing strain CM7-4 from seawater as Bacillus velezensis through 16S rRNA sequence analysis. Moreover, we successfully purified a novel bacteriocin named PCM7-4 from Bacillus velezensis CM7-4.

This method demonstrates the nucleophilic dialkylation and cyclization of α-alkylidene succinimides, resulting in the formation of functionalized spirosuccinimide derivatives. The reaction exhibits a wide substrate scope and yields ranging from moderate to excellent under the optimized conditions.

Unaltered Responses of Distal Motor Neurons to Non-Targeted Thoracic Spinal Cord Stimulation in Chronic Pain Patients.

Introduction: Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) represents an established interventional pain therapeutic; however, the SCS effects of SCS waveforms on motor neuron recruitment of the lower limbs of chronic pain patients remain largely unknown.

Methods: We investigated these effects by performing isometric ankle-dorsal flexions at varying force levels under four SCS conditions: SCS Off (1 week), burst SCS (40 Hz), SCS Off (acute), and tonic SCS (130 Hz). Muscle activity was recorded via high-density surface electromyography (64-electrode grid) on the tibialis anterior muscle.
