Aims: The global COVID-19 pandemic has required a drastic transformation of prenatal care services. Whether the reformulation of the antenatal care systems affects maternal and infant outcomes remains unknown. Particularly, women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) are among those who bear the greatest brunt.

However, few studies have investigated the mechanisms and application of biochar in the remediation of combined HM-contaminated environments. Therefore, in the present study, a novel corn straw biochar-loaded calcium-iron layered double hydroxide composite (CaFe-LDH@CSB) was synthesized via the coprecipitation method and applied as a remediation adsorbent to remove HMs in both water and soil environments.

Neoantigens derived from mutant proteins in tumour cells could elicit potent personalized anti-tumour immunity. Nevertheless, the layout of vaccine vehicle and synthesis of neoantigen are pivotal for stimulating robust response. The power of synthetic biology enables genetic programming bacteria to produce therapeutic agents under contol of the gene circuits.

Objectives: This study aims to explore the clinical and pathological characteristics of congenital granular cell tumors and provide some references for clinical diagnosis, differential diagnosis, and treatment.
Methods: Nine ca-ses of congenital granular cell tumors who visited the Children's Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine from February 2008 to March 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. Herein, its clinical characteristics, pathological characteristics, treatment, and prognosis were summarized and analyzed.
The pathogeny of type 1 diabetes (T1D) is mainly provoked by the β-cell loss due to the autoimmune attack. Critically, autoreactive T cells firsthand attack β-cell in islet, that results in the deficiency of insulin in bloodstream and ultimately leads to hyperglycemia. Hence, modulating immunity to conserve residual β-cell is a desirable way to treat new-onset T1D.

Aldehydes, derivatives of lipids, are ubiquitously produced through non-enzymatic and enzymatic pathways in higher plants and participate in many physiological and biological processes. Increasing evidence demonstrates that aldehydes are involved in plants response to many abiotic stresses, such as light, drought, heat and nutrient deficiency. In plant cells, endogenously triggered or exogenously applied high concentrations of aldehydes can damage proteins and nucleic acid, disturb redox homeostasis, and consequently inhibit plant growth; therefore, they are considered cytotoxins.

-Methyl-d-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) signaling pathway has been implicated in the pathogenesis and treatment of depression. However, the role of NMDAR subunits in depression is still unclear. In this study, alteration in all seven NMDAR subunits in several brain areas of rats exposed to chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS), an animal model of depression, was detected.

However, little is known about the contribution of these five N-related functional genes to nitrification and denitrification in the soil profile in severely ecologically degraded areas. Therefore, in the present study, the abundance, diversity and community composition of AOA, AOB, nirS, nirK and nosZ were investigated in the soil profiles of different ecologically degraded areas in the Siding mine.

This study aimed to evaluate the value of the deep learning image reconstruction (DLIR) algorithm (GE Healthcare’s TrueFidelity™) in improving the image quality of low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) of the chest. First, we retrospectively extracted raw data of chest LDCT from 50 patients and reconstructed them by using model-based adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction-Veo at 50% (ASIR-V 50%) and DLIR at medium and high strengths (DLIR-M and DLIR-H). Three sets of images were obtained.

Lipid peroxidation is a primary event in plant roots exposed to aluminum (Al) toxicity, which leads to the formation of reactive aldehydes. Current evidence demonstrates that the resultant aldehydes are integrated components of cellular damage in plants. Here, we investigated the roles of aldehydes in mediating Al-induced damage, particularly cell death, using two wheat genotypes with different Al resistances.

By analyzing it, the physical parameters can be estimated, such as the curvature radius and the rings' center. However, parameter estimation from large images using fractional Fourier transform (FRFT) consumes considerable time.

Specifically, we explore the preservation of critical points in piecewise linear and bilinear vector fields. We define the preservation of critical points as, without any false positive, false negative, or false type in the decompressed data, (1) keeping each critical point in its original cell and (2) retaining the type of each critical point (e.

Previous studies have revealed much about the neural circuits and sensory molecules in mechanical nociception, but the cellular mechanisms adopted by nociceptors in force detection remain elusive. To address this issue, we study the mechanosensation of a fly larval nociceptor (class IV da neurons, c4da) using a customized mechanical device.

Objective: To analyze the characteristics of acupoint catgut embedding methods, tools, catgut types, and the treatment cycles in the clinical research in recent ten years both at home and abroad, so as to summarize its regularities and to provide technical references for further studies.
Methods: Articles about clinical researches on catgut embedding therapy published in recent ten years (from January 1, 2010 to December 31,2020) were retrieved from the databases of CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, and PubMed by using key words of "acupoint embedding" "acupoint catgut embedding" and "catgut implantation at acupoint". According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, a new database was established for analyzing the data mentioned above.
Objectives: Systematically identifying cancer cell functional states, especially their associations, is key to understanding the pathogenesis of cancers.
Materials And Methods: Here, we systematically identified six cancer-related states, including epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), immune response, epithelial differentiation, stress, G1/S and G2/M phases, in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) based on single-cell RNA-sequencing (scRNA-seq).
Results And Conclusion: We defined the association patterns between these functional states and found the patterns were correlated with the state activity.
Background: As a key indicator to measure the mental health status, psychological security level of Chinese college students and its changes over time are of great value to examine.
Methods: A cross-temporal meta-analysis was performed using papers that measured the psychological security level of Chinese college students using the Security Questionnaire between 2006 and 2019. In addition, a time lag analysis was conducted to define whether the selected macro social indicators can explain the changes in the psychological security level.
