Malachite green (MG) is a synthetic triphenylmethane dye originally employed as an industrial colorant in textile, paper, and leather industries. Its subsequent application in aquaculture was driven by its demonstrated antibacterial and antiparasitic properties. However, substantial evidence has revealed its high toxicity, including carcinogenic, teratogenic, and mutagenic effects, posing severe threats to both ecological systems and human health, leading to strict regulations or outright bans in numerous countries.

While several studies have documented dysgerminoma diagnosis via peritoneal effusion cytology, no cases identified during pregnancy have been reported to date. This study presents the first reported case of dysgerminoma diagnosed through peritoneal effusion cytology in a pregnant patient.

Point cloud completion aims to reconstruct complete 3D shapes from partial scans. The long-range dependencies between points and shape perception are crucial for this task. While Transformers are effective due to their global processing ability, the quadratic complexity of their attention mechanism makes them unsuitable for long sequences when computational resources are constrained.

Objective: To explore the risk factors associated with renal injury in patients diagnosed with IgA vasculitis at initial presentation.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 384 children who were newly diagnosed with Immunoglobulin A vasculitis (IgAV) and hospitalized between July 2020 and June 2023. The participants were categorized into two groups based on whether their 24-hour urinary protein levels exceeded 150 mg upon admission.
Objective: This study aims to uncover the molecular biology and immune microenvironment of gynecological mesonephric-like adenocarcinoma (MLA).
Methods: To determine the comprehensive characteristics of MLA, 17 patients with MLA were retrospectively enrolled in this study. Whole-exome sequencing and mRNA sequencing were performed to explore the molecular features.
Objective: (AR, Huangqi in Chinese) has been utilized generally as a bulk drug for the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) in China. The efficacy of wild-simulated AR (WAR) and transplanted AR (TAR) commercially available is unclear. This study aimed to further clarify the therapeutic action of WAR and TAR to treat CAG rats based on endogenous-xenobiotics metabolism.

However, the mechanisms underlying spleen-brain-immune axis communication remain poorly understood. Here, we utilized a surgical denervation protocol to perform splenic sympathetic denervation (SDN), which significantly attenuated brain injury following stroke.

However, it remains elusive whether this response can be extrapolated to the ecosystem scale, because confounding factors and compensating feedbacks are often involved in ecosystem iWUE variations. Here we develop a machine learning-based framework to disentangle the ecosystem-scale CO effects on iWUE and its two components, canopy conductance (Gc) and gross primary productivity (GPP), based on global networks of long-term eddy covariance observations.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFProjected increases in the intensity and frequency of droughts in the twenty-first century are expected to cause a substantial negative impact on terrestrial gross primary productivity (GPP). Yet, the relative role of soil water supply (indicated by soil moisture) and atmospheric water demand (indicated by vapour pressure deficit, VPD) on GPP remains debated, primarily due to their strong covariations, the presence of confounding factors and unresolved causal relationships among the interconnected hydrometeorological drivers of GPP. Here using a causality-guided explainable artificial intelligence framework, we show that soil moisture is the dominant regulator of water stress, surpassing the role of VPD, when and where soil water supply limits ecosystem functions.

However, the mechanism of hydrogen (H) dissociation on InO remains experimentally elusive. In this work, we show that the interaction of H with InO is strongly influenced by the presence of oxygen vacancies.

Methods: In this retrospective study, we selected nasal mucosa tissues from 35 AR patients as the AR group, and nasal mucosa tissues from 22 patients with isolated nasal septum deviation as the control group. Utilizing reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) techniques, we measured the expression levels of SOCS3 mRNA and Eotaxin mRNA in both groups.

Objective: To investigate the expression of receptor tyrosine kinase-like orphan receptor 1 (ROR1) in ovarian cancer tissues and its correlation with clinicopathologic features, chemotherapy sensitivity, and prognosis in patients with ovarian cancer.
Methods: Paraffin tissue blocks were collected from 227 ovarian cancer patients, and immunohistochemical (IHC) staining was performed to analyze the expression of ROR1. The associations between ROR1 expression and clinicopathologic features, treatment response, and prognosis were evaluated.
The escalating severity of soil Pb pollution has intensified the focus on phytoremediation technologies. The biomass advantages of woody plants offer broader prospects for their application in phytoremediation. Fast-growing woody plant Salix integra exhibit significant potential for remediating Pb pollution.

Using the 61,607 working face of Longwanggou Mine as a case study, the key roof layer was identified through theoretical calculations, and hydraulic fracturing parameters were optimized via zoning and grading. Stress changes, displacement, and fracture distribution in the downtrack and retreat areas were analyzed using 3DEC software before and after fracturing.

Despite the critical role of HPV testing in early detection, coverage in China remains low due to cultural, psychological, and other barriers. Self-collected urine and vaginal samples offer alternative methods for sample collection.

Gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN) is a rare but aggressive malignancy that follows normal or aberrant pregnancies. Until the advent of immunotherapy in 2017, surgery and chemotherapy were the standard treatment modalities, with chemotherapy remaining the cornerstone. However, chemoresistance and high-risk disease present significant challenges in managing GTN.

Objective: To evaluate the clinicopathologic characteristics and survival outcomes of ovarian clear cell carcinoma (OCCC) patients with different endometriosis statuses.
Methods: This retrospective study included OCCC patients diagnosed between 2012 and 2021, classified into three groups based on the Sampson and Scott criteria: Without (no endometriosis), Arising (OCCC arising from endometriosis), and Coexisting (OCCC coexisting with endometriosis). Clinical and pathological characteristics were compared across groups, and survival outcomes were analyzed using Kaplan-Meier methods.

Progress in next-generation sequencing technology has given rise of genotyping data of thousands of individuals. The standard Variant Call Format (VCF) is widely used to store genomic variation information, but calculating genetic distance and constructing population phylogeny directly from large VCF files can be challenging.
