The impact of time delays on the stability of sampling zeros in sampled-data (SD) control systems is investigated. While delays, arising from communication and computational latencies, are known to critically influence zero-dynamics stability, their specific effect on sampling zeros remains less explored. This work establishes novel conditions for sampling zero stability under time delays, employing the Backward Triangle Sample-and-Hold (BTSH) method for signal reconstruction.

Infrared (IR) imaging is extensively applied in domains such as object detection, industrial monitoring, medical diagnostics, intelligent transportation due to its robustness in low-light, adverse weather, and complex environments. However, challenges such as low resolution, high noise, limited texture details, and restricted dynamic range hinder the performance of traditional object detection models. To address these limitations, this study proposes an optimized approach for small object detection in low-resolution IR images by integrating super-resolution reconstruction with an enhanced YOLOv8 model.

Background: Previous research has primarily approached the interconnections between attentiondeficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) symptoms, self-compassion and mental health from a variable-centered perspective. However, few studies have explored how ADHD symptoms interacts with self-compassion and mental health at the symptom level. This study aims to construct a symptom network that elucidates the complex relationships among ADHD symptoms, self-compassion and mental health.

The progressive wear of pantograph sliding strips on metro trains necessitates timely replacement to ensure safe and reliable operations. This study proposes an adaptive, data-driven framework for predicting the remaining useful life (RUL) of these components, leveraging operational data from Chongqing Metro Line 6. A Gamma-process model is employed to capture the wear behavior under real-world operating conditions, integrating historical records and new observations through Bayesian inference.

Catalytic Effect of Pd NPs Encapsulated in UiO-66(Zr) under Microenvironment Modulation for the Degradation of Trimethoprim in Fenton-like Reaction.

Inorg Chem

July 2025

Institute of Environmental Protection Application Technology, School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Suzhou University of Science and Technology, Suzhou 215009, Jiangsu, China.

The large-scale production of iron sludge and the safety issues of HO usage are two limitations in the promotion and application of the Fenton reaction. To further solve the problems, an active hydrogen reduction strategy was proposed. Herein, the reducing property of active hydrogen was utilized to simultaneously generate HO in situ and accelerate the regeneration of ferric in the reaction process.

This study developed a new way of designing choline chloride-modified MOF-based materials with advanced gas adsorption properties. To design better carbon capture materials, MIL-101 (Cr) was prepared using the hydrothermal method, and then was modified with different concentrations of choline chloride in a one-step method to enhance its CO adsorption capacity. The characterization and experimental results indicated that the modified ChCl-MIL-101(Cr) significantly enhanced the adsorption capacity for CO.

Among various emerging energy technologies, triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) have garnered significant attention owing to their ability to convert environmental mechanical energy into electrical energy through the triboelectric effect and electrostatic induction. However, there are some problems with optimizing the electrical output and conversion efficiency of TENGs. This paper presents a high-performance TENG enhanced with BaTiO₃ nanowires(BTONWs) using electrospinning technology.

Background: Public health issues arising from excessive online gaming have garnered significant research interest. Existing studies indicate that, within the framework of the dual-systems theory, the equilibrium between the goal-directed and habitual control systems is disrupted in patients with Internet gaming disorder (IGD). Nevertheless, the understanding of how this imbalance manifests within the brain is limited.

It is demonstrated that initial hold time (t) before gradient elution may be taken as an extension of dwell time (t) of the chromatograph. On the basis of this property, we deduce the expressions for retention time (t) and band compression factor (G) under linear gradient with t which is also called scouting gradient in this work. In the case of linear solvent strength model (LSSM) and when the analyte is eluted from the column after the end of linear gradient, an algebraic expression for G is deduced.

The relationship between defending self-efficacy and defending behavior in cyberbullying: a moderated mediation model.

BMC Psychol

April 2025

Key Laboratory of Adolescent Cyberpsychology and Behavior (CCNU), Ministry of Education, Wuhan, China.

Although defending self-efficacy is related to defending behavior in cyberbullying, little is known about the underlying mechanisms of this association. This study explored the relationship between defending self-efficacy and defending behavior. In a China sample, it examined the mediating role of defending intention and the moderating role of empathy in the association between defending self-efficacy and defending behavior.

In order to investigate the influence of terminal donors on the structures and photophysical properties of D-A prototype fluorophores, three D1-A-π-D2 fluorophores with different terminal donors (D2) have been synthesized and characterized in this study. Assisted by density functional theory calculations, this study has found that terminal donors (D2) affect the molecular packing modes by modifying the intermolecular interactions. Localized orbital locator function analysis (LOL-π) indicated that increasing the numbers of aromatic rings of terminal donors (D2) would give rise to wider π-electrons delocalization, leading to the red-shifted absorption and emission properties of such compounds.

The safe and efficient operation of smart Intelligent vehicles relies heavily on accurate trajectory prediction techniques. Existing methods improve prediction accuracy by introducing scene context information, but lack the causal perspective to explain why scene context improves prediction performance. In addition, current multimodal trajectory prediction methods are mostly target-driven and implicitly fused, relying too much on the density of candidate targets, as well as ignoring the road rule constraints, which leads to a lack of anthropomorphic properties in the model's prediction results.

Materials (Basel)

February 2025

Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Advanced Welding Technology, Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, Zhenjiang 212003, China.

In order to gain a deeper understanding of the distribution of residual stresses in swing-arc narrow-gap GMA welding, this paper comprehensively considers the arc motion trajectory and joint geometry and establishes a three-dimensional finite element numerical analysis model for residual stresses based on elastic-plastic theory. Using the Ansys software, the welding residual stresses were calculated under swing frequencies of 4 Hz, 3 Hz, and 2 Hz, and the distribution characteristics of residual stresses were analyzed. The results indicate that the model effectively and accurately represents the movement trajectory and distribution characteristics of the swing arc.

May 2025

Department of Chemistry, University of Massachusetts Boston, 100 Morrissey Boulevard, Boston, MA 02125, USA.

[3+2] Annulations are a powerful method for the synthesis of five-membered heterocyclic compounds. The annulations have concerted cycloaddition and formal (stepwise) cycloaddition reaction pathways. In addition to the well-established O-centered and N-centered ylides, epoxides and aziridines could serve as synthetic equivalent of 1,3-dipoles for [3+2] annulation with dipolarophiles for making functionalized tetrahydrofuran, pyrrolidine, and associated compounds.
