Background: Robotic single-port transvaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (RSP-vNOTES) is an emerging minimally invasive approach that combines the advantages of robotic surgery with scarless transvaginal access. Its application in gynecologic oncology remains limited, particularly for omentectomy during ovarian cancer staging.
Methods: We present the case of a 45-year-old woman with an ovarian granulosa cell tumor (GCT) who underwent supplemental staging surgery following unilateral oophorectomy.

Protein-nucleic acid interactions (PNI) play crucial roles in various life processes, including gene expression regulation, DNA replication, repair, recombination, and RNA processing and translation. However, accurately predicting these interactions remains challenging due to their complexity. This paper proposes a deep learning-based multi-task learning framework for predicting protein-nucleic acid interactions.

Screening for high-risk human papillomavirus (hrHPV) infection is essential for cervical cancer prevention. However, developing a simple, portable, and low-cost hrHPV genotyping method remains challenging, particularly in resource-limited settings. Herein, we present an innovative amplification-free, point-of-care hrHPV genotyping platform integrating CRISPR/Cas12a with alkaline phosphatase (ALP)-mediated surface plasmon effect.

Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are persistent environmental pollutants that are widely detected in human serum worldwide, and are associated with reduced vaccine-induced antibody responses. However, existing research has primarily focused on the effects of prenatal and adolescent PFAS exposures on antibody levels or disease incidence. A critical gap remains in understanding the association between serum PFAS concentrations and antibody levels in children.

The transition from preclinical to clinical drug development is critically impeded by interspecies disparities, which limit the predictive validity of preclinical efficacy for human outcomes. To address this limitation, we established a human flora-associated depression rat (HFADR) model through fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT). The HFADR model bridges the preclinical-clinical translation by recapitulating conserved microbial-host interactions identified through multi-omics analysis in a chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) rat model and in patients with major depressive disorder.

Grounded in developmental intergroup theory, which highlights the role of essentialist thinking in the emergence of prejudice, this study examined whether reducing children's gender essentialism could decrease prejudice against speakers with gender-nonconforming (GN) voices. A total of 162 children aged 8-12 years participated in the study. The intervention group (N = 81) received three lessons illustrating diversity in sex-related traits and behaviors in the animal kingdom to challenge essentialist beliefs about gender roles, expression, and biological sex, whereas the control group received comparable lessons without gender-related content.

Objective: In this retrospective study, authors aimed to evaluate the glymphatic function alterations associated with glioma and explore the prognostic value of these alterations by calculating the index for diffusivity along the perivascular space (ALPS index).
Methods: The authors utilized data from the publicly available University of California San Francisco Preoperative Diffuse Glioma MRI (UCSF-PDGM) dataset, which includes 501 adult patients with histopathologically confirmed diffuse glioma, per the 2021 WHO classification, who underwent preoperative MRI, initial tumor resection, and tumor genetic testing at a single medical center from 2015 to 2021.The ALPS index was calculated from diffusivity maps for noninvasive glymphatic system (GS) analysis.

Schizophrenia (SCZ) and bipolar disorder (BPD) are highly heritable psychiatric disorders with complex genetic and environmental underpinnings. Allele-specific expression (ASE) has emerged as a critical mechanism linking noncoding genetic variants to disease risk through epigenetic and environmental modulation. Here, whole-genome and transcriptome analyses of monozygotic twin pairs discordant for BPD or SCZ are performed, identifying that noncoding genetic variants drive differential ASE patterns of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) in affected individuals compared to their unaffected co-twins.

Background: Diagnosis-related group (DRG) systems for healthcare reimbursement were recently introduced among hospitals in China, raising concerns about cost-shifting, where hospitals may increase charges for self-financing patients to offset reimbursement cuts by DRG. In 2018, both Nanchang and Ganzhou Cities in Jiangxi Province installed DRG information systems, but only Nanchang fully implemented the DRG system during the 2019-2020 pilot period.
Materials And Methods: Drawing from a healthcare administrative dataset of 14,310 patients' records, this study investigates the hospitalization costs associated with Intraocular Lens (IOL) implantation procedures in Jiangxi Province, China, from 2017 to 2020.

The selectivity, central nervous system progression and drug-resistant mutations have raised significant concerns regarding the effectiveness of ROS1 inhibitors. Novel entities have been designed through precise molecular simulation. Introducing larger biphenyl groups in the hydrophobic region enhances ROS1 selectivity and improves lipid solubility for better blood-brain barrier penetration.

In recent years, You Only Look Once (YOLO) models have gradually been applied to medical image object detection tasks due to their good scalability and excellent generalization performance, bringing new perspectives and approaches to this field. However, existing models overlook the impact of numerous consecutive convolutions and the sampling blur caused by bilinear interpolation, resulting in excessive computational costs and insufficient precision in object detection. To address these problems, we propose a YOLOv8-based model using Efficient modulation and dynamic upsampling (YOLO-ED) to detect lung cancer in CT images.

This study delves into the time-varying causal relationship between housing prices (HP) and entrepreneurial vitality (EV) in China, employing a rolling-window sub-sample testing approach. The findings reveal that HP exerts both positive and negative influences on EV across different sub-samples. Specifically, when wealth effects dominate, HP positively impacts EV, acting as a promoter.

The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is a key target for both cancer diagnosis and therapeutic interventions. Assessing EGFR expression before therapy has become routine in clinical practice, yet current methods like biopsy and immunohistochemistry (IHC) have significant limitations, including invasiveness, limited repeatability, and lack of real-time, whole-body data. EGFR-targeted imaging has emerged as a promising alternative.

While the infection often exhibits distinct seasonal patterns strongly correlated with water temperature, there is limited knowledge regarding the temperature-dependent immune evasion strategies of . Our results demonstrated a striking temperature-dependent virulence phenotype, with significantly higher mortality rates observed at high temperature (HT, 33 °C) compared to low temperature (LT, 23 °C).

Breast cancer is a global health challenge necessitating more precise and effective treatment strategies. In this study, we developed a novel drug-loaded therapeutic nanoplatform, OCPdots@CTe, which integrated near-infrared-II (NIR-II) window phototheranostic for targeted treatment of orthotopic breast tumors. The outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) can stimulate more immune responses based on precise targeting, while chelerythrine (CTe) can induce apoptosis by generating reactive oxygen species (ROS), thereby enhancing the therapeutic effect.

Agrobacterium-mediated T-DNA integration into plant genomes represents a cornerstone for transgenic expression in plant basic research and synthetic biology. However, random T-DNA integration can disrupt essential endogenous genes or compromise transgene expression, stressing the need for targeted integration strategies. Here we explored CRISPR-aided targeted T-DNA integration (CRISTTIN) in Arabidopsis, leveraging CRISPR-induced double-strand breaks (DSBs) to facilitate precise T-DNA insertion.
