As the second most common cause of death globally, tumor significantly impacts human health and quality of life. Although monotherapy has achieved remarkable progress, its therapeutic effectiveness remains less than ideal. The current strategy is increasingly inclined towards a combination of different treatments.

Background: The role of the gut microbiome in respiratory infections is increasingly recognized. We have found that a gut commensal strain, Bacteroides dorei RX2020 (B. dorei) previously isolated from healthy human fecal microbiota, alleviates influenza virus infection, but the underlying mechanisms remain elusive.

Background: As a common cognitive impairment disease, vascular dementia (VD) belongs to the category of "dementia" in Chinese medicine, and should be treated with the principle "Governor Vessel" as the primary focus. The occurrence of VD is closely related to cerebral ischemia, hippocampal neuron damage, and excessive mitochondrial autophagy activation, which has been considered as is a key mechanism of PINK1/Parkin signaling pathway regulation. Our study aims to investigate molecular mechanisms of the Governor Vessel acupuncture method in improving VD cognitive dysfunction by regulating mitochondrial autophagy.

Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) are a common type of chronic wound characterized by slow healing, susceptibility to infection, and high amputation rates, causing significant suffering and economic burden to patients. Unfortunately, existing first-line treatments often fail to deliver desired outcomes, highlighting the urgent need for more effective solutions. Appropriate wound dressings can provide a favorable microenvironment for healing, making them an essential component of effective DFU management.

To analyze voice signals and identify asthma patients using voice signal analysis and machine learning techniques, we collected clear, low-noise fixed-pattern voice signals from 50 asthma patients and 50 healthy controls to build an analysis database. The research conducted multi-dimensional voice signal analysis based on MATLAB and selected voice feature indicators with significant differences between asthma patients and healthy controls. After dimensionality reduction analysis on differential phonetic features, the processed features were incorporated into subsequent SVM and RF modeling and classification research.

Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu decoction (HGWD) is commonly used to treat cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), and HGWD could regulate intestinal flora and myocardial microvessels, this study aimed to examine whether HGWD could ameliorate myocardial damage in ovariectomized (OVX) rats by regulating the structure and function of myocardial microvessels and intestinal flora. A model of OVX rats was created, and histological examination through hematoxylin and eosin staining alongside TEM was employed to assess the microstructural lesions present in the myocardium. Myocardial microvasculature density was assessed using immunofluorescent staining.

Recent advances in bladder cancer immunotherapy have shown promise, particularly in addressing limitations of the current gold standard, Calmette-Guérin (BCG). Novel combinations, such as sasanlimab (a PD-1 monoclonal antibody) with BCG, have improved event-free survival in high-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). Intravesical anti-PD-1/PD-L1 agents like pembrolizumab and nadofaragene firadenovec have demonstrated efficacy and safety in BCG-unresponsive NMIBC, leading to regulatory approval.

Background: Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), as the most critical pathological type of coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, has a high morbidity and lethality, and the long-term treatment of modern medicine is still faced with the problems of restenosis, microcirculation obstruction and drug resistance. The addition of Traditional Chinese Medicine provides new ideas for ACS treatment. Our previous study found that Jia-Wei-Si-Miao-Yong-An decoction (HJ11) can improve the inflammatory response and cardiac function in ACS.

Jiao-Tai-Wan (JTW), composed of Coptidis Rhizoma (CR) and Cinnamomi Cortex (CC) in a 10:1 ratio (w/w), is an ancient prescription effectively used for treating insomnia in China. The pharmacodynamic components of JTW are primarily coptidis alkaloids from CR; however, the therapeutic mechanism remains unclear now. This study aimed to discuss the effects of CC on pharmacokinetic characteristics of CR by analyzing the tissue distribution of seven main coptidis alkaloids.

In general, pseudoephedrine (PE) is a safe and universally employed in cold medicine, which displays powerful effect on antipyretic. Nonetheless, the sustained drug delivery system can effectively put an end to the above problems attributable to the drawbacks of low bioavailability and short intervals of administration. "Complexation" hydrogels are capturing enormous attention in a diverse array of fields in that there is no necessity to carry out external intervention for drug delivery.

α-ketoglutaric acid (AKG), a tricarboxylic acid cycle metabolite central to aerobic metabolism and longevity, retains unresolved anti-aging protein targets. Here, we demonstrate that reduced isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) expression during senescence lowers AKG production, accelerating the aging of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). Exogenous AKG or IDH1 overexpression restores AKG levels, enabling 2-oxoglutarate and Fe(II)-dependent oxygenase domain-containing protein 1 (OGFOD1)-catalyzed hydroxylation of ribosomal protein S23 (RPS23) at proline 62.

Prediabetes represents an early stage of glucose metabolism disorder with significant public health implications. Although traditional lifestyle interventions have demonstrated some efficacy in preventing the progression to type 2 diabetes, their limitations-such as lack of personalization, restricted real-time monitoring, and delayed intervention-are increasingly apparent. This article systematically explores the potential applications of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) technology combined with artificial intelligence (AI) in the management of prediabetes.
