Residential photovoltaics (PV) presents an effective means of achieving low-carbon development, owing to its installation flexibility and resource-saving properties. To explore the residents' behavioral intentions to purchase and install residential PV systems, this study collected 1424 samples and analyze the impact of different policies on residents' adoption of residential PV using the theory of TPB and the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM). The main conclusions are summarized as follows: (1) Bungalow residents exhibit a stronger inclination to install residential PV than building residents.

With the continuous improvement of people's living standard, the incidence of metabolic diseases is gradually increasing in recent years. There is growing interest in finding drugs to treat metabolic diseases from natural compounds due to their good efficacy and limited side effects. Over the past few decades, many phytochemicals derived from natural plants, such as berberine, curcumin, quercetin, resveratrol, rutin, and hesperidin, have been shown to have good pharmacological activity against metabolic diseases in preclinical studies.

In order to achieve the "dual carbon goal", the Chinese government is actively encouraging the adoption of household photovoltaic (PV) systems. While there has been considerable research on residents' inclination to install PV, limited attention has been given to understanding how the installation and utilization of PV systems influence pro-environmental behaviors. Therefore, this paper aims to investigate the potential impact of pro-environmental behavior resulting from household PV installation on users' green purchasing behavior.

Transition metal carbides show remarkable catalysis for MgH, and the addition of carbon materials can attach excellent cycling stability. In this paper, Mg-doped with transition metal carbides (TiC) and graphene (G) composite (denoted as Mg-TiC-G) is designed to assess the influence of TiC and graphene on the hydrogen storage performance of MgH. The as-prepared Mg-TiC-G samples showed favorable dehydrogenation kinetics compared to the pristine Mg system.

Theoretical understanding of magneto-structural correlations in dichloro-bridged dicopper(ii) complexes can guide the design of magnetic materials having broad-scale applications. However, previous reports suggest these correlations are complicated and unclear. To clarify possible correlations, magnetic coupling constants ( ) of variants of a representative {Cu-(μ-Cl)-Cu} complex A were calculated through BS-DFT.

Object detection in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) images is an extremely challenging task and involves problems such as multi-scale objects, a high proportion of small objects, and high overlap between objects. To address these issues, first, we design a Vectorized Intersection Over Union (VIOU) loss based on YOLOv5s. This loss uses the width and height of the bounding box as a vector to construct a cosine function that corresponds to the size of the box and the aspect ratio and directly compares the center point value of the box to improve the accuracy of the bounding box regression.

To realize the precise modulation among the cesium lead halide perovskite-related phases is one of the most fascinating subjects and has motivated increasing research. The formation mechanisms of different phases of cesium lead halide have not been fully recognized. In this work, we reported the phase-selective synthesis of CsPbBr nanorods and CsPbBr nanocrystals (NCs) in amine-free systems, simply by adjusting the dosage of oleic acid (OA).

Four air-stable mononuclear Co(II) complexes, with the formulas [Co(dapbh)(HO)(CHOH)] (1), [Co(Hdapbh)(N)(CHOH)]·(CHOH) (2), [Co(Haapbh)(CHOH)]·(NO) (3) and [Co(Hbapbh)(HO)(NO)]·(NO) (4), have been synthesized and structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. In all of the complexes, the Co(II) centers constrained by the rigid pentadentate ligand HL with two protonable hydrogens adopt a heptacoordinated pentagonal-bipyramidal geometry. The combined analyses of magnetic data and calculations unveil large easy-plane magnetic anisotropies for these complexes ( = +37.

To study the differences between various gas injection sources in the process of coal seam methane replacement, experimental research was conducted to study the influences of different gas injection sources and gas injection ratios on coal seam methane replacement by considering the strong adsorption gas CO and the weak adsorption gas N. The experimental results show that the temperature rise effect of the CO injection gas is greater and lasts longer than that of the N injection gas in the process of coal seam methane replacement by gas injection, and the temperature rise can promote the desorption of adsorbed methane well. However, due to the different effects of gas compressibility, the increase in gas pressure caused by injecting N under the same conditions is higher than that of CO; due to the strong adsorption of CO, the gas pressure after injecting CO continues to decrease slowly.

To study the safety of the source gas in coal seams after gas injection displacement, choosing N as an example, the pressure and temperature field variation characteristics of the source gas in coal were studied via experimental research, numerical simulation, and theoretical analysis methods, starting from the variation characteristics of the gas pressure and temperature fields in the coal. In this work, 2-9 MPa stress was applied to the top of the coal samples. The experimental results indicated that during the coal loading process, the gas pressure and temperature in the coal generally exhibited a decreasing trend and that the pressure and temperature could increase in some areas due to pore closure and frictional heat generation, but the increase range was not significant.

Manipulating Reaction Intermediates to Aqueous-Phase ZnSe Magic-Size Clusters and Quantum Dots at Room Temperature.

Angew Chem Int Ed Engl

September 2022

National Engineering Research Center in Biomaterials, College of Biomedical Engineering, Sichuan University, Chengdu, Sichuan, 610065, P. R. China.

It is not resolved which model describes better the aqueous-phase nucleation and growth of semiconductor quantum dots (QDs), the classical one-step one or the nonclassical multi-step one. Here, we design a room-temperature reaction to trap reaction intermediates in the prenucleation stage of ZnSe QDs (as a model system). We show that the trapped intermediate can transform to magic-size clusters (MSCs) via intra-molecular reorganization and can fragment to enable the growth of QDs.

School of Physical Science and Technology, Southwest University, Chongqing, 400715, China.

We report the nucleation and two dimensional (2D) crystallization of the helical aromatic hydrocarbon pentahelicene ([5]H) on the semimetallic Bi(111) surface studied low-temperature scanning tunneling microscopy. Individual homochiral dimers and heterochiral trimers appear on the substrate at a low coverage. With an increase in the coverage, a chiral phase transition takes place from the 2D conglomerate of [5]H dimers to the 2D racemate of [5]H trimers.
